Nintendo has just showcased their upcoming 2021 games with Nintendo Direct, and the 50-minute video gave fans a look at some games and DLCs to look forward to on the Switch.

The addition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Pyra and Mythra to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster headlined this Nintendo Direct. However, other major titles have also been announced, including Splatoon 3 and the remaster of the Zelda entry previously exclusive to the Wii U, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which will release on July 16th alongside the new Special Edition JoyCons specially made for the game.

See below for the complete list of announcements (via Reddit):

Though Nintendo Direct is supposed to address the upcoming Nintendo Switch games for the first half of 2021, some titles that have been announced are still expected to come out in 2022. For example, Splatoon 3 and Project Triangle Strategy aren’t expected to come out this year. Even the upcoming characters for Smash Bros. Ultimate have yet to get a release date as well.

On the other hand, several titles have been confirmed to release this year, like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and Mario Golf: Super Rush. Other games like Star Wars: Hunters and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout don’t have specific release dates, but we do know they’re expected to hit the Switch sometime in 2021.
