Fans of puzzle adventure games can look forward to experiencing <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/timelie/">Timelie</a> in an entirely new way.

Creators from Snapbreak and Urnique Studio recently announced their partnership to bring the award-winning title to mobile platforms. In a press release, the gaming companies revealed they target to roll out Timelie this 2025.

The collaboration, made possible with the support of Agora Gaming Partners (AGP), marked a significant expansion for Timelie.

“Timelie is a fantastic addition to our lineup of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/puzzle/">puzzle</a> adventure games, and we’re thrilled to work with Urnique to bring it to a broader audience,” said Kristoffer Nählstedt, CEO of Snapbreak.

Urnique Studio also shared the same enthusiasm for the project.

“Partnering with Snapbreak allows us to share Timelie with mobile gamers worldwide, and we couldn’t be more excited for this collaboration!" the studio wrote.

Timelie has become a standout in the puzzle adventure genre. It debuted on PC and macOS platforms in 2020. It has since risen through the ranks of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/single-player/">the best singleplayer games on PC.</a>

The game was developed by Thailand-based studio Urnique Studio.

In Timelie, players guide a young girl and her cat through a mysterious and ever-changing world. The game became popular for its innovative time manipulation mechanics. It features a signature timeline system that allows players to preview, rewind, and replay their actions.

Unlike traditional games, Timelie tells its story without dialogue. Instead, developers relied on its environments, music, and character interactions to convey emotion and meaning. This minimalist approach has earned praise for immersing players in its world.

Upon its release, Timelie became both a critical and commercial success. It earned accolades for its clever gameplay and emotional depth. This included the Game of the Year Award in the Bangkok International Digital Content (BIDC) Festival in 2020.

Acclaimed Puzzle Game Timelie is Going Mobile

Acclaimed game developer DON'T NOD has unveiled a mysterious new trailer for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/lost-records-bloom--rage/">Lost Records: Bloom & Rage</a>, their two-part narrative-driven <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/adventure/">adventure</a> heavily inspired by their Life Is Strange classic. The first installment, “Bloom,” will launch on February 18, 2025, followed by “Rage” on March 18, 2025.

The trailer provides a deeper glimpse into the game’s themes and characters, highlighting intense elements of adversity and conflict, all coated with DON'T NOD’s signature supernatural flair. 

It also features music composed by Montreal-based duo Milk & Bone, who have played a pivotal role in creating the game’s soundtrack. Their first appearance in a DON’T NOD game was with <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/life-is-strange-2/">Life Is Strange 2</a>’s Episode 3 titled “Natalie.” Fans can look forward to the release of Milk & Bone’s new single, “FORGONE,” on December 6, 2024. The track will be part of the game’s licensed soundtrack, alongside other compositions.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage’s story is wrapped in question marks. On paper, it is a story-rich adventure about four high school girls who forge deep friendships over a summer in the 90s. Little did they know everything can change in just one night.

Players are invited to unravel their fragmented memories and explore the supernatural mysteries surrounding the Abyss, a supernatural void that could transform the lives of protagonists Swann and her friends.

Like DON’T NOD’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/life-is-strange/">Life Is Strange</a>, gameplay involves exploration and talking to NPCs in third-person. The recent gameplay preview showcased Swann as the playable character. She can interact with her friends and take videos/photos using her trusty camera. 

Choices will also play a deeper role in Lost Records. Throughout both chapters, players will be met with tough decisions that can impact the game’s ending. Forging relationships between each of its four characters are essential.

In collaboration with Maximum Entertainment, a physical edition of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage for PlayStation 5 will be available in Summer 2025. Preorders for this edition are now open through participating retailers.

DON'T NOD Reveals New Trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/mark-of-the-deep/">Mark of the Deep</a>, the upcoming indie <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/adventure/">action</a> adventure game from Mad Mimic, has finally received a new release window.

Publisher Light Up Games announced that they will roll out Mark of the Deep this January 2025. It will land on PC as well as console platforms.

"We’re thrilled to partner with the talented team at Mad Mimic to bring Mark of the Deep to players worldwide," said Magnus Lysell, co-founder and CEO of Light Up Games.

"This game embodies the kind of high-replayability, deeply engaging experience we’re passionate about publishing. We can’t wait for players to dive into its rich narrative and challenging gameplay when it launches this January," he added.

Their announcement came months after they decided to postpone the game last October.

It can be recalled that Light Up initially scheduled Mark of the Deep to launch in October. But they decided to push back its release to give developers more time to polish the game. In particular, maintaining its quality across all platforms.

In the meantime, interested players can try out the Mark of the Deep. Light Up confirmed on December 3rd activating a free public demo. It can be accessed on PC via <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/1933370/Mark_of_the_Deep/">Steam</a>.

Mark of the Deep, the upcoming indie action-adventure game from Mad Mimic, has finally received a new release window.

Mark of the Deep Set for January 2025 Release

Developers of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/yiik-a-postmodern-rpg/">YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG</a> just dropped a major update.

On December 2nd, Ackk Studios rolled out YIIK I.V. The free update for YIIK offered a revamped experience of the surreal <a href="https://whatoplay.com/best/rpg/">RPG</a>. It can be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

YIIK I.V redefines the original gameplay experience with a range of new features and enhancements.

The update will allow players to recruit three new party members. They will also get to explore 10 new areas. YIIK I.V will also feature a redesigned turn-based combat system.

In addition, the update contained revamped cutscenes, over 150 new soundtrack tracks, reimagined dungeon layouts, and updated Monster Dens. A fresh leveling system in Alex’s Mind Dungeon further deepens the gameplay.

Combat has also been overhauled to integrate Karta. These are unique collectible allies that can be equipped to enhance battles. Each Karta offers distinct passive and active abilities, requiring players to strategize how best to utilize their capabilities.

YIIK is an RPG that follows Alex who got drawn into a reality-bending mystery after witnessing a vision of a woman vanishing in an iron maiden.

Developer Toppluva AB has announced the release date for the sequel to its global hit mobile game, Grand Mountain Adventure.

Grand Mountain Adventure 2: Mobile Snowboarding Sequel Launching February 2025

Game publisher Soedesco announced the launch of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/airoheart/">Airoheart</a>, a story-driven action RPG, on mobile devices.

As of November 29th, fans of classic top-down <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/rpg/">RPGs</a> can access the title via the <a href="">Google Play Store</a> and App Store, the Dutch publisher said.

Airoheart combines real-time combat with fast-paced battles against a variety of monsters. It was developed by Pixel Heart Studio. The game first launched on PC and consoles in 2022.

Airoheart tells a story of betrayal, redemption, and the fight against an ancient evil in the pixel-art land of Engard.

Players take on the role of the titular Airoheart. An unlikely hero, they must guide Airoheart in stopping his estranged brother from unleashing a powerful force. This journey leads Airoheart through dangerous dungeons filled with intricate puzzles. As well as deadly traps, and hostile enemies.

The game explores themes of loyalty, duty, and forgiveness as Airoheart faces the emotional weight of his brother’s betrayal. At the same time, the responsibility of saving Engard.

With key decisions shaping the story’s resolution, players may also experience different outcomes. From permanently sealing the ancient evil to a bittersweet ending.

But upon its debut, Airoheart received mixed reviews. While critics praised the game for bringing nostalgia to classic RPGs, they criticized its lack of originality.

"Airoheart is a passable game," wrote Mich Vogel for NintendoLife. "But hardly one we would recommend you rush out to buy unless you simply cannot get enough of the 2D Zelda formula," he added.

Kim Snaith of Game Spew gave it a rate of 70 out of 100.

"While Airoheart takes some small steps to be its own thing, there’s nothing here that truly separates it from its inspirations," said Snaith.
In Metacritic, Airoheart received a Metascore of 61.

Indie game developer Outlier Games announced that they will open the alpha playtest of Mars Attracts this December 4. In turn, offering players and fans alike a taste of the upcoming game.

Mars Attracts blends intricate management gameplay inspired by classics. Players will manage parks filled with outlandish attractions and quirky Martian environments. At the same time, they need to balance the demands of alien visitors and captive humans.

Development for Mars Attracts was first unveiled in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/gamescom-onl-2024/">August 2024 at Gamescom</a>. It will be the first video game adaptation of the quirky Mars Attacks franchise that originated as a trading card series by Topps in 1962.

Outlier began developing Mars Attracts in 2023, growing its team across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

In the meantime, developers from Outlier Games are encouraging feedback from the playtest. They target to release Mars Attracts via Early Access in 2025.

Indie game developer Outlier Games announced that they will open the alpha playtest of Mars Attracts this December 4.

Mars Attracts Alpha Playtest is Coming to Town

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/trivia-crack-no-ads/">Trivia Crack</a>, the popular trivia-based, interactive knowledge platform, just landed on Meta Quest.

Beginning November 27, owners and players of Meta Quest can finally experience a 'more immersive' Trivia Crack with Trivia Crack World.

The game transforms traditional trivia into an engaging virtual reality (VR) experience.

Trivia Crack World also introduced fresh twists on the traditional <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/word-trivia/">trivia</a> format. The VR version includes mini-games as well as interactive challenges.

Players can fish for answers, draw responses, and navigate mazes. They can also complete other tasks that combine cognitive and physical skills.

In addition, Trivia Crack World has multiplayer options to connect players globally. These are Open Matches, Private Matches, and Solo Mode.

In Open Matches, they compete worldwide to climb leaderboards, earn trophies, and unlock exclusive rewards. Private Matches meanwhile lets users create custom games. Solo Mode, for its part, provides a self-paced option for honing trivia skills in a personal challenge setting.

According to developers from Etermax, this immersive approach elevates the trivia experience. As a result, Meta Quest players can expect more engaging and dynamic gameplay for Trivia Crack.

Like most of its previous titles, Trivia Crack World is set in a dynamic amusement park. The game lets players interact with beloved characters from the franchise. This included Willy the Wheel as the park’s charismatic host.

Other characters, such as Hector the Knight, Albert the Scientist, Tito the Explorer, and Tina the Artist. They will co-host themed islands in their respective knowledge categories.

At launch, players can explore Hector’s Museum. Etermax also revealed plans to develop additional areas such as Albert’s Laboratory and Tito’s Safari. They are slated to open by the end of the year.

Trivia Crack first came out in 2013 as a mobile game. Upon its release, it became both a critical and commercial success. It has captivated millions of players across more than 180 countries and 34 languages. The game's sequel, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/trivia-crack-2/">Trivia Crack 2</a>, added new multiplayer features that improved the experience for many players.


Since then, the franchise has expanded beyond mobile gaming. Trivia Crack expanded into board games, books, and now virtual reality.

Trivia Crack World Debuts on Meta Quest

7 years after its launch on Steam, Plug in Digital and Draw Distance announced that their action-stealth game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/serial-cleaner/">Serial Cleaner</a>, will soon be available on mobile platforms. Slated for release in Early 2025, the upcoming mobile version is already open for pre-orders on the <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6499333003?ct=Tap33776641">App Store</a> and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pid.serialcleaner&hl=en">Google Play</a>.

Set in 1970s America, Serial Cleaner is a story-driven, fast-paced stealth slash <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/action/">action</a> game where players take on the role of a professional crime scene cleaner. Sort of like The Wolf from Pulp Fiction. 

The job involves disposing of bodies, cleaning up bloodstains, and hiding incriminating evidence, all while avoiding detection by law enforcement. A skilled cleaner must operate with precision, ensuring every trace of evidence is erased before escaping unseen. 

Players experience dynamic, real-time changes to the crime scene as they clean. Bloodstains can disappear and evidence can be tampered with. These modifications heighten the tension as police adapt their surveillance, increasing the challenge. For added replay value, the game also utilizes real-world data to modify levels based on the player’s local time of day, adding a layer of personalization.

Serial Cleaner currently stands at a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam from over one thousand users. Players praised its quirky attempt at a game about cleaning up dead bodies. Some players also found its positioning clunky, making stealth encounters frustrating. 

It currently has a Playscore of 7.7 on PC, 7.8 for PlayStation 4 and 8.1 for Xbox One.
