<p>The game immerses players in a career where they progress from modest beginnings to championship competitions. Starting with a budget car, players work through a range of events, using race winnings to upgrade vehicles and advance in their careers. </p>

<p>Choose from over 250 cars from nine manufacturers worldwide and a globetrotting campaign packed from multiple game modes such as circuits, rally stages, and championships. </p>

<p>In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/multiplayer/">multiplayer</a> mode, players can enjoy up to four-player split-screen competition like the good old days, either racing locally or vying for a spot on the leaderboards. Arcade Racer Super Woden GP Podium Edition Set for Physical Release on Consoles

<p>Two years since its launch on PC, Fatshark has announced that <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-darktide/">Warhammer 40,000: Darktide</a> will finally release on PlayStation 5 consoles on <strong>December 3, 2024</strong>.</p> 

<p>This much-awaited release will bring all enhancements and updates made since the initial PC version, putting its visual scale similar to Saber Interactive’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-space-marine-2/">Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2</a>.</p>

<p>Darktide is also optimized for PlayStation 5 Pro at 60 FPS frame rate at 4K resolution. Also included in this console port are two gameplay modes available for players: a 60 FPS Performance mode at 1440p resolution and a 30 FPS Quality Mode at 4K resolution.</p>

<p>Players who opt for the Imperial Edition can access the game six days early, beginning November 27. The Standard Edition will be available through the PlayStation Store for $39.99/€39.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will enjoy discounts of 10% on the Standard Edition and 15% on the Imperial Edition.</p>

<p>Warhammer 40,000: Darktide released on PC back in 2022 and on Xbox Game Pass a year later. It takes place in the grimdark <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Warhammer%2040%2C000">universe of Warhammer 40,000 </a>by Games Workshop.</p> 

<p>Instead of assuming control of the powerful Space Marines, Darktide puts players into the shoes of the universe’s other classes, namely the Veteran, Psyker, Zealot and Ogryn. It immerses players in the brutal task of reclaiming Tertium, a city overrun by relentless Chaos hordes.</p> 

<p>Similar to Fatshark’s previous entry, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-end-times-vermintide/">Vermintide</a>, it emphasizes cooperative gameplay in its sprawling PvE modes. Darktide demands teamwork, so players wandering from teammates leaves them vulnerable to powerful foes. Only by staying close can players recharge their strength and face the danger together.</p> 

<p>Combat builds upon the melee-focused mechanics of Vermintide 2, further enhancing 40K’s signature gunplay experience. Players must master between melee and ranged combat, wielding iconic weapons such as the chainsword and Lasgun to fend off enemies.</p> 

<p>The game received a playscore of 7.0 on PC from over sixty thousand players and 54 critics. Not a lot of fans were happy with its balancing and pacing. However, over the years Fatshark has improved the game with a variety of quality of life improvements and new gameplay changes. With the imminent PlayStation 5 release next month, Darktide will be at its most ideal version yet.</p>

<p>Publisher Revolution Software launched Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged on Switch consoles on <strong>November 7</strong>. This meant Switch players and owners could get their hands on the game at a retail price of US$29.99.</p>

<p>Revolution Software founder Charles Cecil promised the game’s visuals to 'look stunning.' Both on the handheld’s screen and on high-resolution TVs when docked.'</p>

<p>The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/new/">new Switch game</a> also boasted of carefully restored art, enhanced audio, and engaging new gameplay options.'</p>

<p>The 'Reforged' version of the first Broken Sword game came out in 2023.
It still follows the adventures of American tourist George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard. In the game, players step into the shoes of Stobbart and Collard.</p>

<p>The game is set across multiple locations. From the vibrant streets of Paris to the mountains of Syria and Spain’s coastal shores. Players must then guide the duo as they uncover secrets tied to the mysterious Knights Templar.</p>

<p>In addition, developers re-engineered its audio to highlight the game’s voice acting. They also enhanced the soundtrack composed by the late Barrington Pheloung.</p>

<p>Shadow of the Templars: Reforged also introduces a “story mode”. It aims to balance narrative progression and gameplay, according to developers. But fans can also switch to the classic 1996 version with the game's 'traditional mode.'</p>

<p>Known for its engaging narratives and challenging puzzles, the Broken Sword franchise first came out in 1996. Upon its release, the game became a critical and commercial success.</p>

<p>Since then, it sold over half a million copies on PlayStation alone. It now has a playscore of 9.2 on PlayStation 5, becoming <a href="ttps://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/">one of the best PS5 games</a> of all time.</p>

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged Launches on Switch

<p>The award-winning game about Alzheimer's Disease, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/back-then/">Back Then</a>, just arrived on PlayStation consoles.</p>

<p>Developer Octopus Embrace rolled out Back Then on PlayStation 5 consoles on <strong>November 6</strong>. The PS5 edition of the game currently has a price tag of US$14.99.</p>

<p>Back Then first debuted on PC in 2023. It is a first-person narrative  adventure that explores Alzheimer's Disease.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/new/">new PS5 game</a> integrates Alzheimer-related themes into its gameplay. This means players get to experience the uncertainty. As well as fragmented recollection associated with the disease.</p>

<p>Back Then tells the story of Thomas Eilian, an elderly writer coping with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.</p>

<p>The game's design includes detective-style exploration and puzzles.</p>

<p>As players take on the shoes of Thomas, they need to explore his fragmented memories. At the same time, unravels his past through investigative exploration and puzzle-solving. They also get to unlock different areas and discover collectibles.</p>

<p>Octopus Embrace, a Portuguese indie studio, described the narrative experience as "unconventional." They said the game highly appeals to those who seek introspective, story-driven gaming.</p>

<p>“We all live with the fear of being devoured by dementia’s shadows of forgetting everything that brought us to this moment. This game seeks to ask — who are we when we forget who we are?” portions of the description read.</p>

<p>The development of Back Then was influenced by the team’s encounters with Alzheimer’s disease. Calebe Motta, co-founder and producer at Octopus Embrace, lost both his grandmother and grandfather to the disease.</p>

<p>"This release is especially meaningful to our team, and we hope it offers comfort to those affected by Alzheimer’s and their loved ones," said Motta.</p>

<p>During development, Octopus Embrace received multiple awards and recognition while developing Back Then. The game won the People’s Choice Award at IndieX 2019. It also received the Games 4 Good and Best Game titles at PlayStation Talents in January 2020.</p>

<p>The PlayStation Talents initiative was also instrumental in facilitating the game’s release on PS5.</p>

Social Deduction Game ‘DEATH NOTE Killer Within’ Available Today

<p>Publisher Nippon Ichi Software on November 5 dropped a new trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II. The video, which ran up to four minutes, provided recaps of the previous game’s events.</p>

<p>The story follows Van Arkride, a Spriggan, or a type of underground investigator. But then an unexpected visitor comes. Ultimately, propelling him to launch his own investigation, racing against time to uncover the truth.</p>

<p>A significant aspect of Trails Through Daybreak II is the inclusion of new and returning characters. Each has their own unique set of skills, backstories, and motivations. Players will also have the opportunity to explore these characters’ alliances and conflicts as they progress further.</p>

<p>The newest title in the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=EVE%20Online">EVE universe</a> happened to be <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/free/strategy/">a free-to-play mobile strategy game</a> set. It features an X gameplay model—explore, expand, exploit, exterminate. This meant players would get to take command of iconic ships from one of the four powerful factions in the EVE universe.</p>

<p>Developers behind EVE Galaxy Conquest promised to deliver the kind of action from the original game. From large-scale, epic battles with thousands of players to combining tactical skill, diplomacy, and combat to claim ultimate victory.</p>

<p>EVE Galaxy Conquest also fared poorly on Google Play. It received a rating of 2.9, from over 2,400 reviews, as of November 5, 2024. Aside from disappointed fans, gamers criticized the game for multiple performance issues.</p>

<p>In EVE Galaxy Conquest, players must defend their chosen empire. They also need to explore uncharted territories as well as expand their influence. Like true EVE Online fashion, they can do this through calculated diplomacy or fierce combat.</p>

<p>The game also has a competitive mode where players vie for top rankings and defend their titles against fresh rivals each season.</p>

There's a new EVE Online game but fans of the 2003 MMORPG are apparently not happy with it.

EVE Galaxy Conquest is Out But…

<p>Indie Developer Chasing Rats officially launches the hands-on demo for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/worship/">Worship</a>, a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/roguelike/">roguelike</a> game set to lead players on a journey of cult leadership. The demo is scheduled to run until the game’s full release sometime in <strong>early 2025</strong>.</p>

<p>Worship’s demo is available exclusively on <a href="√">Steam</a> and is part of the Save & Sound Festival, an online event that showcases game demos and discounts. <p>The demo provides a one-hour preview of Worship, with single-player as its only available option yet. However, upon the game’s official release, up to four players will be able to join in cooperative gameplay. Players will have to wait before they unite with friends in their dark pursuits.</p>

<p>Worship’s premise is pretty simple, but highly dubious if applied in the modern age. Players assume the role of a cult leader driven by a singular mission: to gather followers and bring about the end times. They must guide their devoted, bloodthirsty, followers through various tasks designed to appease their Lovecraftian overlords.</p>

<p>Through strategic rituals and unwavering loyalty, followers play a crucial role. They can be used from purging heretics to offering their own blood for strength or aiding in the completion of puzzles. Fans of Nintendo’s Pikmin series will find its ‘follower’ mechanics familiar.</p> 

<p>Despite sharing similarities with Devolver Digital’s Cult of the Lamb, Worship doesn’t exactly follow the same gameplay loop. It does have one obvious connection: making a humorous jab at these questionable cults.</p> 

<p>Worship is now available in demo form on Steam. The full game is slated for release in early 2025.</p>

Worship: New Cult-Themed Roguelike Launches Demo on Steam

<p>The popular social gaming title <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/rec-room/">Rec Room</a> is set to welcome more players.
Beginning on <strong>November 6</strong>, Nintendo Switch owners can finally experience the 2016 game.</p>

<p>“We’ve dreamed about this moment for years and are honored to bring Rec Room to the Nintendo Switch,” said Nick Fajt, CEO of Rec Room. “Nintendo has played a big role in my lifelong love of video games and I’m excited to be able to bring the fun and creativity of Rec Room to their platform," he added.</p>

<p>The Switch expansion also made Rec Room the 'most cross-platform game to date.' Since its release, the game has been available on PCs, consoles, virtual reality (VR), and mobile platforms.</p>

<p>Aside from cross-platform gameplay, the Nintendo Switch version will have an integrated voice chat. This will allow players to coordinate with friends and navigate adventures in real-time.</p>

<p>Rec Room is a free-to-play, user-generated content (UGC) game. It's similar to the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/">highly-rated mobile game,</a> <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/roblox/">Roblox</a>. Known for its user-friendly no-code creation tools, Rec Room allows players to build their own worlds and games. These included escape rooms, racing challenges, and player-versus-player matches.</p>

<p>They can also publish them across all available platforms.
According to its creators, Rec Room has already amassed over 100 million lifetime users.</p>

<p>The game’s release on Switch this November 6 also comes with an option for players to pre-register at <a href="https://rec.net/switch">the game's official website</a>. Pre-registered users will receive an exclusive in-game rewards to commemorate the Nintendo Switch launch.</p>

<p>Rec Room also includes safety features designed for younger audiences. Players aged 12 and under can use “Junior Accounts".
