Indie developer 14 Hours Productions has announced the mobile port of its beloved game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/yolk-heroes-alongtamago/">Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago</a>.

The mobile edition of Yolk Heroes is set to launch on iOS and Android this November 28.

Yolk Heroes first launched on Steam in 2023. The game merges Tamagotchi-style digital pet simulation with <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/rpg/">RPG</a> mechanics.

In Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago, players step into the role of Guardian Spirit. They are then tasked with protecting the mythical realm of Faria.

The Fairy Queen entrusts players with raising elf heroes from eggs to adventurers capable of defending the land against the Frog Lord and his minions. The game gained popularity for its blend of nurturing, strategic combat, and idle mechanics.

Yolk Heroes draws inspiration from the classic Tamagotchi but adds a modern twist with RPG elements.

In the game, players care for their hero’s energy, health, and hygiene. At the same time, they need to train them in strength, dexterity, and intelligence.

Yolk Heroes also contains mini-games and skill-building activities. Through these, heroes can grow into powerful adventurers and join the Adventurer’s Guild and face tougher challenges. Like battling against the Golfing Goblins, Disco Dragons, and Sand Witches.

But the journey doesn’t stop there.

Upon reaching adulthood, heroes embark on quests to gain experience, collect gold, and unlock advanced equipment. The game offers nine unique classes, including Mage, Warrior, and Paladin.

One of Yolk Heroes’ standout features is its real-time progression system. This means that heroes can continue their quests even when the game is closed.

This <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/idle/">idle</a> mechanic also lets users check in periodically to monitor their hero’s progress and ensure their needs are met. Failed quests send heroes back to the guild, where players can nurse them back to health before venturing out again.

The mobile version of Yolk Heroes includes all the features of the PC version, now optimized for smaller screens.

Meanwhile, pre-registration is now open for Yolk Heroes on iOS and Android. Devs have also prepared in-game item giveaways and special launch deals to celebrate the transition to mobile devices.

Dying Light 2 Free Now on PlayStation Plus with PS5 Pro Enhancements

Ravenswatch Launches on Consoles with Cross-Play Support

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/atomfall/">Atomfall</a>, one of the highly anticipated survival-action titles, will launch soon.

Rebellion Development announced that they will release Atomfall this March 27, 2025. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. This adds it into one of the many <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/upcoming-2025/">highly anticipated titles scheduled for a 2025 release</a>.

Game Pass subscribers can access the title on its release day, the Oxford-based indie studio added.

Rebellion has also dropped a new trailer for Atomfall. The video offered a first look at the game’s setting, including the mysterious Casterfell Woods. The trailer also highlighted the 'unsettling atmosphere.' Ultimately, teasing players looking forward to diving into a post-apocalyptic United Kingdom.

It featured visuals of a burning pyre, a wicker man, fallen bodies, and a ringing telephone box.

In the meantime, Rebellion began accepting pre-orders for Atomfall. They also confirmed that the game will come in both digital and physical formats.
Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will unlock the Basic Supply Bundle DLC. This includes an exclusive melee weapon variant, more loot caches, and a crafting recipe.

The Deluxe Edition, available digitally, offers extra perks. Like the Enhanced Supply Bundle. This package features an exclusive pistol variant and a metal detector skin. It also contains character upgrades and three days of early access to the game.

Additionally, Deluxe Edition buyers will receive access to a planned Story Expansion DLC upon its release.

For collectors, they may want to buy Rebellion’s Quarantine Edition. They can buy it only on the game's online store. The Rebellion's Quarantine Edition combines all Deluxe Edition rewards -- plus exclusive content.

Atomfall is set in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. In the game, players need to solve mysteries surrounding a Windscale nuclear power station. This meant navigating a sprawling quarantine zone and exploring military encampments. As well as abandoned bunkers, and Pagan ruins.

They also get to interact with eccentric and sometimes hostile characters. To survive in the wasteland, the game allows players to wield melee and ranged weapons. They can also craft items and scavenge supplies.

Atomfall draws inspiration from British science fiction and Cold War-era themes. According to developers, it 'blends folk horror elements with a unique survival-action experience.'

Atomfall is Coming to PC, Consoles this March 2025

Capcom recently revealed the launch date of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/resident-evil-2/">Resident Evil 2: Remake</a> for Apple.

Beginning December 10, Apple gamers can get their hands on the remastered version of one of the series' most popular titles.

Resident Evil 2: Remake will be available on all Apple Silicon. These include the Phone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro models. As well as iPads and Macs equipped with the M1 chip or later.

Resident Evil 2: Remake is the fourth Resident Evil game ported to Apple's latest devices. Its upcoming launch came just five months after Capcom released <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/resident-evil-7-biohazard/">Resident Evil 7: Biohazard</a> to the App Store.

Building on the massive success of CAPCOM’s best-selling action-RPG, Monster Hunter: Outlanders is an open-world <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/best/survival/">survival</a> game set in expansive, natural environments teeming with the franchise’s formidable monsters. These include the notorious T-Rex Anjanath, the Iguana-like Great Jagras and the iconic Rathalos itself. 

In its open-world setting, players can explore diverse natural regions rich with unique ecosystems and creatures. To survive the treacherous biomes, they will craft and build personalized gear and tools to enhance their hunting experience. Thrill-seekers can do this alone, but players who refuse to play as a lone hunter have the option to join forces with up to three other players in cooperative missions.

There is a growing discussion with the game’s approach to microtransactions. Monster Hunter: Outlanders may remain authentic to the franchise’s identity, but it is a gacha game. Collecting characters enables players to freely swap them on the battlefield. Pulling these characters requires in-game currencies and real money. 

Crafting armor and weapons stays true to the original’s grindy concept, but there will be limitations. Stamina will be Outlander’s important resource. Similar to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/genshin-impact/">Genshin Impact</a>’s Energy or <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/zenless-zone-zero/">Zenless Zone Zero</a>’s Battery, players have limited Stamina per day and will recharge after every hour. 

Apart from its gacha-based mechanics, as a live-service mobile game, Monster Hunter: Outlanders will feature regular world events and interactive community activities within its vast setting. There is still no road map shown yet as TiMi Studio is still hard at work polishing the game before its imminent Beta.

Capcom and TiMi Studio Unveil Monster Hunter: Outlanders, an Open-World Mobile Adventure

Here's an early Christmas present for players and owners of PlayStation consoles.

Publisher Whitehorn Games announced that the critically acclaimed puzzle <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/botany-manor/">Botany Manor</a> will soon arrive on PlayStation (PS). In a press release, the American indie game publisher revealed they will launch Botany Manor on PS5 and PS4 this December 17.

Botany Manor's expansion to PlayStation platforms came eight months after it made its debut on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles.

The game was developed by English indie studio Balloon Studio. It is a botany-themed <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/point-and-click/">point-and-click</a> adventure.

Set in a 19th-century English manor, Botany Manor follows a retired botanist named Arabella Greece. Players find themselves in Greece's home, filled with rare, nearly forgotten plants.

Balloon Studios is founded by BAFTA-recognized designer Laure De Mey. In creating Botany Manor, De Mey drew inspiration from famous English manors. Like that of naturalist Charles Darwin and the famous Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider series.

This explains why exploration and interaction was one of the highlights of the game.

The game guides players through a narrative that invites them to explore the sprawling estate. As well as uncover notes, books, and keepsakes that reveal clues to the ideal growing conditions for each plant.

Throughout the manor, interactive objects help players solve plant-specific <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/puzzles/">puzzles</a>. With each mystery uncovered, new seed varieties can be unlocked.

Upon its release, Botany Manor received positive feedback. Gamers and critics alike praised the game for its immersive historical details and pacing. As well as its cozy and wholesome theme.

Critically Acclaimed Botany Manor Blooms on PlayStation

Sabotage Studio, the developer and publisher behind the acclaimed indie RPG <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/sea-of-stars/">Sea of Stars</a>, released a massive update titled Dawn of Equinox. 

Available today, this free update brings a slew of new features, mechanics, and enhancements that Sabotage Studio describes as the ultimate realization of its vision for the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/turn-based-rpg/">turn-based RPG</a>.

The Dawn of Equinox update introduces a range of quality of life improvements and new features, beginning with a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/local-coop/">local co-op</a> mode that allows up to three players to experience the game’s story together. Co-op works the same as the original, but other players will have to adjust to the modified Timed Hits mechanic.

One significant change in the update is a significant rework with the game’s combat system. 

The addition of ‘Mystery Locks’ encourages players to break enemy spells by experimenting with different attack types. This adds a layer of depth to every encounter as players retain Combo Points. Additionally, with the new ‘Reveal’ function, this enhances each character’s special abilities, further adding a dynamic turn-based experience. 

New or old players can also enjoy a revamped prologue, now allowing players to experience the protagonists’ childhood directly instead of through flashbacks. This is in conjunction with Dawn of Equinox’s newly added cutscene titled ‘Paths on Water’, which highlights a key moment in the story.

These brand new narrative beats are completely new and not present in the original.

With the Dawn of Equinox update, Sabotage Studio aims to cement this version of Sea Of Stars as the definitive experience for all players. ‘Throes of the Watchmaker’, the next major update, will introduce a fresh storyline and character, leading players into a mysterious clockwork world plagued by a cursed carnival. This DLC will also feature the newly launched local co-op mode.

Sea of Stars Adds Co-op and New Features in Dawn of Equinox Update

Paradox Interactive is set to expand the medieval world of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/crusader-kings-iii/">Crusader Kings III</a> for console players with its upcoming Tours and Tournaments expansion, launching November 18 on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. 

This addition will immerse players in a vivid portrayal of medieval life, allowing characters to engage in grand events, journey across lands, and build strategic alliances. It is the 5th major expansion for Crusader Kings III, preceded by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/crusader-kings-iii-friends-and-foes/">Friends and Foes</a>. 

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/crusader-kings-iii-tours-and-tournaments/">Tours and Tournaments</a> introduces several new features that transport players to the heart of medieval entertainment. Characters can embark on pilgrimages, conduct tours, and participate in various medieval events such as tournaments and weddings. 

Players can use these gatherings as opportunities to strengthen their social standing, forge alliances, or even engage in intrigue with rivals.

The expansion brings several dynamic mechanics to its gameplay. If players can join these events, they can also host their own lavish tournaments, attracting nobles and knights from neighboring lands to bolster their characters’ social reputation and military prowess. 

As for its tours and weddings, players may embark on grand tours throughout their realm, engaging with their vassals, showing benevolence, or collecting higher taxes to reinforce their massive treasury. The Dynastic Wedding, however, will enable players to create alliances by bringing together powerful families and displaying the might of their dynasties.

Other than weddings, tours, and tournaments, the expansion also has a newly added travel system that allows characters to plan routes to events. They could either choose between safe but lengthy paths or faster, riskier routes through forests and mountains.

4 years after its Windows release, Crusader Kings III was Paradox Interactive’s premier medieval fantasy simulation game. The Tours and Tournaments Expansion was released back in May 2023 for PC. 

Compared to the PC version, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are behind with its expansion releases, with Tours and Tournaments the fifth of its ten major expansions for Crusader Kings III.

Crusader Kings III’s Tours and Tournaments Expansion Coming to Consoles Next Week

The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Hello%20Neighbor%20franchise">Hello Neighbor franchise</a> continues to grow. Creators from tinyBuild on November 10 officially unveiled <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-3/">Hello Neighbor 3</a>.

Devs from the Washington-based studio first hinted about Hello Neighbor 3 during the season two finale of the Hello Neighbor Animated Series. The team from tinyBuild later revealed more information about the upcoming title.

“I’m really excited to keep Hello Neighbor 3’s development open, sharing our journey with the community,” said franchise creator Nikita Kolesnikov.

Kolesnikov was also confirmed to lead its development. He will guide a 'small, dedicated team', and promised to deliver a game reminiscent of the first title.

“We’re hoping to release early alphas soon so players can try out the new direction firsthand," added Kolesnikov.

A release date for Hello Neighbor 3 has yet to be announced.

In the meantime, tinyBuild said that the upcoming game in the franchise will have a 'full simulation' experience.

In Hello Neighbor 3, players arrive in Raven Brooks. It is a forgotten, half-abandoned town. In it, every resident has unique relationships, ambitions, and personal histories.

As a real-time sandbox <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/simulation/">simulation</a>, the town of Raven Brooks has residents acting independently.

The game also features choice-based elements. This means that every choice players make affects the town and changes how events unfold. In addition, its open design lets players achieve their goals through multiple means. 

The Hello Neighbor franchise first emerged into the gaming scene in 2016 and made its full launch in 2017. The mechanics of the first game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor/">Hello Neighbor</a>, involved the player attempting to sneak into a mysterious neighbor’s basement to uncover a hidden secret.

The game’s AI adapts to the players' previous moves, with the neighbor setting traps and cameras along paths players have used before. It plays similarly to the multi-awarded horror game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/alien-isolation/">Alien: Isolation</a>

While the first game's full release met wide criticisms, it proved to be a commercial success. As a result, it enabled tinyBuild to spawn more titles. These included <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-hide-and-seek/">Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/secret-neighbor/">Secret Neighbor</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-engineer/">Hello Engineer</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-vr-search-and-rescue/">Hello Neighbor VR: Search and Rescue</a>. 

Developers also released a stand-alone sequel, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-2/">Hello Neighbor 2</a>, in 2022.
