<p>Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that PlayStation VR2 users can access their PC VR games through a new adapter. Available <strong>August 7</strong>, this allows players to expand their VR experience by integrating PlayStation VR2 with SteamVR’s thousand titles.</p> 

<p>Players can dive into popular SteamVR games like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/half-life-alyx/">Half-Life: Alyx</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fallout-4-vr/">Fallout 4 VR</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/war-thunder/">War Thunder</a>. This strategy marks a major step in bridging the gap between console and PC gaming. A feat that offers more content and flexibility for VR enthusiasts.</p> 

<p>The adapter is priced at $59.99 / €59.99 / £49.99. It will be available at select retailers and at PlayStation's website. A DisplayPort 1.4 compatible cable (sold separately) and a Steam account are required.</p>

<p>Setting up is simple. Players connect the PlayStation VR2 to the PC using the adapter and DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Next, they download and install the PlayStation VR2 App and SteamVR App. This allows for configuring settings and play areas as well.</p> 

<p>Note that all PlayStation VR2 exclusive games like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/the-dark-pictures-switchback-vr/">The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/horizon-call-of-the-mountain/">Horizon Call of the Mountain</a> are not available on SteamVR. Considering Sony’s adoration for PC Ports lately, players can expect these exclusives ported soon.</p>

The good news is that other advanced features such as 4K visuals, a 110-degree FOV, finger touch detection, see-through view, foveated rendering (without eye tracking), and 3D audio are still supported.</p>

<p>Sony encourages players to explore Steam's diverse VR games. Titles like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/elite-dangerous/">Elite Dangerous</a> and VR Chat might expect a spike in new player count.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2076140">latest demo of Tavern Talk</a> contains exciting new features for players to explore, developers announced. And these included the highly requested ability to pet Andu, the tavern's mascot. Additionally, the demo features never-before-seen story content, allowing players to explore deeper into the whimsical world of Asteria.</p>

<p>Gentle Troll, a Germany-based indie studio, also revealed the release date for Tavern Talk. In a press statement, they announced that they will launch the game this <strong>June 20</strong>. It can be played on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. players.</p>

<p>Tavern Talk is a story-driven game, inspired by legendary titles <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/coffee-talk/">Coffee Talk</a> and Dungeons & Dragons. Players take the reins as the owner of the Wayfarer's Inn, a popular watering hole in the fictional world of Asteria.</p>

<p>But Wayfarer's Inn is no ordinary pub. Later on, players will realize that they hold the power to shape the destinies of their patrons, by the drinks they serve. Be it a fiery potion of courage or a whimsical elixir of wit.</p>

They also unveiled a new trailer showcasing gameplay for the upcoming game. It is scheduled for release on PC and Consoles this year.</p>

<p>CONSCRIPT is set against the harrowing backdrop of the First World War. It plunges players into the Battle of Verdun in 1916. The game follows a lone French soldier on a desperate search for his missing brother.</p> 

<p>“With CONSCRIPT, I aimed to immerse players in the grim reality of World War 1 while delivering the tense, gripping gameplay that survival horror fans know and love. I can’t wait to bring this experience to both PC and console players later this year and am especially excited to see the game on the shelves.” said Jordan Mochi, founder and solo developer at Catchweight Studio.</p>

<p>The game offers classic survival horror gameplay familiar for fans of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/amnesia-collection/">Amnesia</a> series or <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/resident-evil-4-remake/">Resident Evil</a>. It has a unique top-down camera that immerses players in its claustrophobic levels. CONSCRIPT enhances the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/best/horror/">horror</a> experience with its pixel art style and oppressive sound design.</p>  

<p>In CONSCRIPT, players must navigate complex, interconnected WW1-themed environments. Challenging them to scavenge for supplies and solve intricate puzzles amidst the chaos of war.  It involves solving environmental puzzles and managing resources effectively.</p>

<p>The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.  A physical release for consoles will follow at a later date.</p>

Conscript: WW1 Survival Horror Coming to PC and Consoles this Year

<p>Sony just wrapped their second PlayStation State of Play for 2024. The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-4ZM3jxhdE&t=1471s">35-minute showcase</a> featured 14 games in total, with 2 special announcements from PlayStation Studios. The two games were the 5v5 competitive shooter, <a href="ttps://whatoplay.com/ps5/concord/">Concord</a>, and the new <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/astro-bot/">Astro Bot</a> game.</p>

<p>Pre-orders for Concord's Beta Access will start on June 6.</p>

Sony State of Play May 2024: 14 Games Featured

<p>Two of gaming's popular simulation titles just landed on Apple's Vision Pro headsets.</p>

<p>American developer Owlchemy Labs rolled out <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/job-simulator/">Job Simulator</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/vacation-simulator/">Vacation Simulator</a> on Apple Vision Pro on May 28th. Both games are now available for purchase on the <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/vision">visionOS App Store</a>.</p>

<p>"Launching Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator on Apple Vision Pro feels like a perfect fit for our goals," said Andrew Eiche, CEO of Owlchemy Labs.</p>

<p>With Vision Pro, the studio achieved its goal of providing 'fully immersive environments' for their two hit titles, he added.</p>

<p>It took developers at least four years to develop and refine the two games' hand and eye-tracking capabilities of the two games, Eiche said. They took advantage of the hand and eye-tracking features to provide natural and intuitive interactions, he added. In turn, players can expect more immersive gameplay without the need for controllers.</p>

<p>Released in 2016, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/job-simulator/">Job Simulator</a> takes players on an alternate universe- where robots have taken over all human jobs. But humans can still experience the "glory days" of work. And that is through a series of hilarious job simulations.</p>

<p>The Apple Vision Pro version of Job Simulator includes the free "Infinite Overtime" update. This allows players to do a never-ending night shift with endless stream of tasks for each simulated job.</p>

<p>Since its debut in 2016, Job Simulator has been a runaway success. It garnered critical acclaim and sold over 1 million copies.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Vacation Simulator takes players to an idyllic island getaway. Called the Vacation Island," it is a robot-created haven designed to capture the essence of a perfect getaway. This simulated paradise boasts everything a dream vacation needs. From exciting activities to colorful robot characters.</p>

An 'Arsene Lupin' Game is Coming this Year

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/capes/">Capes</a>, the newest title from Germany's Daedalic Entertainment, has debuted this week, along with 8 other gamers which you can see in the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/new/">New Games section</a>. The creators of the newly-released game had surprises in store before welcoming players into its futuristic city.</p>

<p>Publishers recently unveiled another playable character for Capes. In a quick, 1-minute video trailer, they introduced released Ignis. She is described as an enigmatic on-camera host and personality in the local music and culture world.</p>

<p>Capes launched on PC and consoles on May 29th. It was developed by Spitfire Interactive. In it, players assemble a team of four heroes to fight and liberate a dystopian city that had fallen under supervillain control.</p>

<p>Their mission is to uncover the truth behind the supervillain's Operator Alpha's Enhancement Program. Aside from the main campaign, Capes also features side missions designed to not only to help boost the heroes' abilities. But they also provide backstories for each one.</p>

<p>Capes can be played on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.</p>

<p>In the meantime, Daedelic announced a new edition for Capes. Named the King City Edition, it contains 'a treasure trove of bonus content.' It included a 50-page art book showcasing the world of Capes. //</p>
