The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Hello%20Neighbor%20franchise">Hello Neighbor franchise</a> continues to grow. Creators from tinyBuild on November 10 officially unveiled <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-3/">Hello Neighbor 3</a>.

Devs from the Washington-based studio first hinted about Hello Neighbor 3 during the season two finale of the Hello Neighbor Animated Series. The team from tinyBuild later revealed more information about the upcoming title.

“I’m really excited to keep Hello Neighbor 3’s development open, sharing our journey with the community,” said franchise creator Nikita Kolesnikov.

Kolesnikov was also confirmed to lead its development. He will guide a 'small, dedicated team', and promised to deliver a game reminiscent of the first title.

“We’re hoping to release early alphas soon so players can try out the new direction firsthand," added Kolesnikov.

A release date for Hello Neighbor 3 has yet to be announced.

In the meantime, tinyBuild said that the upcoming game in the franchise will have a 'full simulation' experience.

In Hello Neighbor 3, players arrive in Raven Brooks. It is a forgotten, half-abandoned town. In it, every resident has unique relationships, ambitions, and personal histories.

The game also features choice-based elements. This means that every choice players make affects the town and changes how events unfold. In addition, its open design lets players achieve their goals through multiple means. 

The Hello Neighbor franchise first emerged into the gaming scene in 2016 and made its full launch in 2017. The mechanics of the first game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor/">Hello Neighbor</a>, involved the player attempting to sneak into a mysterious neighbor’s basement to uncover a hidden secret.

The game’s AI adapts to the players' previous moves, with the neighbor setting traps and cameras along paths players have used before. It plays similarly to the multi-awarded horror game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/alien-isolation/">Alien: Isolation</a>

While the first game's full release met wide criticisms, it proved to be a commercial success. As a result, it enabled tinyBuild to spawn more titles. These included <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-hide-and-seek/">Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/secret-neighbor/">Secret Neighbor</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-engineer/">Hello Engineer</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/hello-neighbor-vr-search-and-rescue/">Hello Neighbor VR: Search and Rescue</a>.

tinyBuild Announces Hello Neighbor 3

Fans looking forward to playing <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/infinity-nikki/">Infinity Nikki</a>, keep your fingers crossed.
Developers from Singaporean studio Infold Games have yet to disclose a specific launch date. But the gaming community has been abuzz recently. This after the PlayStation Store indicated that Infinity Nikki will start welcoming PlayStation 5 soon.

The PlayStation Store website revealed that Infinity Nikki will land on PS5 consoles this December 5.

Infold, meanwhile, has yet to make announcements about the game's PC and mobile release. But in earlier statements, they said they will release the upcoming game 'later this year'.

Infinity Nikki is the fifth installment in Infold's popular <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Nikki">dress-up Nikki series</a>. It is created using Unreal Engine 5 technology.

For the first time, developers will introduce an <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/open-world/">open-world</a> feature. It is also the first entry that can be played both on PC and PlayStation 5.

In the meantime, Infold Games announced that Infinity Nikki reached a new milestone. The game, as of November 10th, has already reached 30 million pre-registrations worldwide. The figures include players from PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.

In turn, Infold has unlocked all pre-registration rewards for future players. They will receive 50,000 Blings, 300 Threads of Purity, 20 Resonite Crystals, and a four-star outfit.

In Infinity Nikki, players journey through the game's world. They will also encounter a range of activities. From platforming challenges to themed dungeons. As well as puzzle-solving in areas known as the Domain of Curio.
In celebration of the pre-registration milestone, Infold has also released a new trailer. Titled Unfold Your Whim, it showcased gameplay elements for Infinity Nikki.

The video also showed how players can explore its expansive world by collecting items called Whimstars. It also provided previews on how they can wear special outfits that grant the main character, Nikki, various abilities. Like gliding, floating, and even interacting with animals.

Funbox Media announced the upcoming physical release of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/super-woden-gp/">Super Woden GP Podium Edition</a>, arriving on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on November 29, 2024. Arcade Racer Super Woden GP Podium Edition Set for Physical Release on Consoles

Two years since its launch on PC, Fatshark has announced that <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-darktide/">Warhammer 40,000: Darktide</a> will finally release on PlayStation 5 consoles on December 3, 2024. 

This much-awaited release will bring all enhancements and updates made since the initial PC version, putting its visual scale similar to Saber Interactive’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-space-marine-2/">Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2</a>.

Darktide is also optimized for PlayStation 5 Pro at 60 FPS frame rate at 4K resolution. Also included in this console port are two gameplay modes available for players: a 60 FPS Performance mode at 1440p resolution and a 30 FPS Quality Mode at 4K resolution.

Players who opt for the Imperial Edition can access the game six days early, beginning November 27. The Standard Edition will be available through the PlayStation Store for $39.99/€39.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will enjoy discounts of 10% on the Standard Edition and 15% on the Imperial Edition.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide released on PC back in 2022 and on Xbox Game Pass a year later. It takes place in the grimdark <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Warhammer%2040%2C000">universe of Warhammer 40,000 </a>by Games Workshop.

Darktide demands teamwork, so players wandering from teammates leaves them vulnerable to powerful foes. Only by staying close can players recharge their strength and face the danger together. 

Combat builds upon the melee-focused mechanics of Vermintide 2, further enhancing 40K’s signature gunplay experience. Players must master between melee and ranged combat, wielding iconic weapons such as the chainsword and Lasgun to fend off enemies. 

The game received a playscore of 7.0 on PC from over sixty thousand players and 54 critics. Not a lot of fans were happy with its balancing and pacing. However, over the years Fatshark has improved the game with a variety of quality of life improvements and new gameplay changes. With the imminent PlayStation 5 release next month, Darktide will be at its most ideal version yet.

Publisher Revolution Software launched Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged on Switch consoles on November 7. This meant Switch players and owners could get their hands on the game at a retail price of US$29.99.

Revolution Software founder Charles Cecil promised the game’s visuals to 'look stunning.' Both on the handheld’s screen and on high-resolution TVs when docked.'

The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/new/">new Switch game</a> also boasted of carefully restored art, enhanced audio, and engaging new gameplay options.'

The 'Reforged' version of the first Broken Sword game came out in 2023.
It still follows the adventures of American tourist George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard. In the game, players step into the shoes of Stobbart and Collard.

The game is set across multiple locations. From the vibrant streets of Paris to the mountains of Syria and Spain’s coastal shores. Players must then guide the duo as they uncover secrets tied to the mysterious Knights Templar.

Shadow of the Templars: Reforged also introduces a “story mode”. It aims to balance narrative progression and gameplay, according to developers. But fans can also switch to the classic 1996 version with the game's 'traditional mode.'

Known for its engaging narratives and challenging puzzles, the Broken Sword franchise first came out in 1996. Upon its release, the game became a critical and commercial success.

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged Launches on Switch

The award-winning game about Alzheimer's Disease, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/back-then/">Back Then</a>, just arrived on PlayStation consoles.

Developer Octopus Embrace rolled out Back Then on PlayStation 5 consoles on November 6. The PS5 edition of the game currently has a price tag of US$14.99.

Back Then first debuted on PC in 2023. It is a first-person narrative adventure that explores Alzheimer's Disease.

The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/new/">new PS5 game</a> integrates Alzheimer-related themes into its gameplay. This means players get to experience the uncertainty. As well as fragmented recollection associated with the disease.

Back Then tells the story of Thomas Eilian, an elderly writer coping with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

As players take on the shoes of Thomas, they need to explore his fragmented memories. At the same time, unravels his past through investigative exploration and puzzle-solving. They also get to unlock different areas and discover collectibles.

Octopus Embrace, a Portuguese indie studio, described the narrative experience as "unconventional." They said the game highly appeals to those who seek introspective, story-driven gaming.

“We all live with the fear of being devoured by dementia’s shadows of forgetting everything that brought us to this moment. This game seeks to ask — who are we when we forget who we are?” portions of the description read.

The development of Back Then was influenced by the team’s encounters with Alzheimer’s disease. Calebe Motta, co-founder and producer at Octopus Embrace, lost both his grandmother and grandfather to the disease.

"This release is especially meaningful to our team, and we hope it offers comfort to those affected by Alzheimer’s and their loved ones," said Motta.

During development, Octopus Embrace received multiple awards and recognition while developing Back Then. The game won the People’s Choice Award at IndieX 2019. It also received the Games 4 Good and Best Game titles at PlayStation Talents in January 2020.

The PlayStation Talents initiative was also instrumental in facilitating the game’s release on PS5.

Publisher Nippon Ichi Software on November 5 dropped a new trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II. The video, which ran up to four minutes, provided recaps of the previous game’s events.

It also teases a mysterious murder spree involving a "red beast." As well as introducing fans and players to new alliances and adversaries in the unfolding conflict within Calvard.

Trails through Daybreak II continues the story in the Republic of Calvard. Its residents have returned to a semblance of peace. The nation just barely recouped following years of turmoil from the mafia organization Almata. But a new wave of killings, attributed to a mysterious “red beast", threatens to disrupt that peace once again.

This new threat then stirs up suspicion and dread. As a result, various factions in Calvard sprang into action. From those who seek justice to those with more self-serving motives.

The story follows Van Arkride, a Spriggan, or a type of underground investigator. But then an unexpected visitor comes. Ultimately, propelling him to launch his own investigation, racing against time to uncover the truth.

A significant aspect of Trails Through Daybreak II is the inclusion of new and returning characters. Each has their own unique set of skills, backstories, and motivations. Players will also have the opportunity to explore these characters’ alliances and conflicts as they progress further.

Meanwhile, the new video trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II also revealed glimpses of its mechanics.

These included gameplay enhancements. Building upon the combat mechanics and exploration systems from the first Trails through Daybreak.

While no specifics were provided in the trailer, fans can expect an expanded skill set and more refined tactical options.

There's a new <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/eve-online/">EVE Online</a> game but fans of the 2003 MMORPG are apparently not happy with it.

On October 29, Iceland-based studio CCP Games rolled out <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/eve-galaxy-conquest/">EVE Galaxy Conquest</a>.

The newest title in the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=EVE%20Online">EVE universe</a> happened to be <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/free/strategy/">a free-to-play mobile strategy game</a> set. It features an X gameplay model—explore, expand, exploit, exterminate. This meant players would get to take command of iconic ships from one of the four powerful factions in the EVE universe.

Developers behind EVE Galaxy Conquest promised to deliver the kind of action from the original game. From large-scale, epic battles with thousands of players to combining tactical skill, diplomacy, and combat to claim ultimate victory.

But since its release, it has faced negative reviews, especially from fans.

ScreenRant reported that avid players of EVE Online hit CCP for 'not taking their time to make a good companion game for their IP (intellectual property).'

Others even went as calling it out as a 'cash-grab.' Redditors in the r/eve subReddit pointed out that its strategy gameplay was 'as deep as a puddle.' They also believed that generative artificial intelligence (AI) had been used for the game's illustration.

EVE Galaxy Conquest also fared poorly on Google Play. It received a rating of 2.9, from over 2,400 reviews, as of November 5, 2024. Aside from disappointed fans, gamers criticized the game for multiple performance issues.

In EVE Galaxy Conquest, players must defend their chosen empire. They also need to explore uncharted territories as well as expand their influence. Like true EVE Online fashion, they can do this through calculated diplomacy or fierce combat.

The game also has a competitive mode where players vie for top rankings and defend their titles against fresh rivals each season.
