<p>Like usual, there won’t be any hack and slash action and shooting around corners. Its third-person adventure takes you to the lives of three Android characters and navigates through their individual tales whose fates are decided by the players themselves. Deal with the struggles of sentience, fulfill your duty, or write your own destiny with Kara, Connor, and Markus. Each character possesses a story that differs from the other and it creates a unique pace to the game. Use augmented vision to search for clues and uncover the hidden layers of its story.</p>  

<p>Knowing Quantic Dream, every narrative is carefully written and topped with philosophical depth. It’s set to release sometime in 2018 as a PlayStation 4 Exclusive.</p>

	<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ubisoft-montpellier/">Ubisoft</a>’s unlikely game that generated a cult following. We haven't seen much of it since its successful 2003 debut. We remembered as the game took us into their sci-fi world where people and anthropomorphized animals live side by side. Announced during this year’s E3 with a gorgeous cinematic trailer, it was a surprise to finally see the long-running rumor turn to reality.</p> 

<p>This game serves as a prequel to the adventures of Jade and Pey'j, set a few generations before their time. But the developers stated that it’s for the players to find out the true continuity of this entry. Similar to its original, the gameplay revolves around exploring System 3 and its myriad of oddball creatures from a third-person perspective. As a customized creature, explore its detailed environments and develop your character from top to bottom. Start from the slums, get richer, and finally own a ship to soar around the skies.</p>

<p>Lastly, the game features a single-player and co-op experience. Not much was explained with its co-op mode, but its single-player campaign offers a shared-universe that affects players at the same time with specific events.</p> 

<p>No release date yet it’s slated for a 2018 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.</p> 

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/shadow-of-the-colossus/">Shadow Of The Colossus</a></h2>

	<p>‘Lo and behold, one of PlayStation 2’s gem make it to the modern generation consoles. Team ICO’s master-crafted action-adventure game gets the makeover it deserves to the PlayStation 4.</p> 

<p>It’s not just a simple remaster. It’s a completely different experience. The visual enhancements, textures, lighting, and smooth frames make you feel like going back in time to witness this amazing game in high definition. There’s not much difference with its story. 	<p>This <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/first-person-shooter/">first-person shooter</a> returns with all-new surprises and dangerous wildlife. Move away from the chilly mountains of Nepal, and step into a fictional rural county in Montana. Inside this mysterious town lies a religious cult with a quest to tear down anyone who stands in their way. It’s a matter of survival as you get torn between its Helter Skelters and the game’s dangerous environment.</p>  
 
<p>This is Ubisoft’s most ambitious Far Cry game to date. It’s the first of the series to remove radio towers and a minimap. That’s like the equivalent of removing your phone’s headphone jack. Another game, another crazy.</p> 

<p>It’s slated to release this February 27, 2018 on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.</p> 

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-last-of-us-2/">The Last Of Us: Part II</a></h2>

	<p>This sequel to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/naughty-dog/">Naughty Dog</a>’s emotional action-adventure adds more feels to the feels train. The clicker infested world has grown worse and the cure isn’t coming anytime soon. It’s not fun and games anymore as both characters mature in every passing season. Set 5 years after <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps3/the-last-of-us/">the first game</a>, expect the two of them to go hand in hand in a dying world.</p> 

<p>Its latest cinematic trailer shows a more brutal side of the picture. It even drew flak due to its “extreme” amount of blood plastered on the screen. Perhaps the game’s biggest change is the focus of Ellie. No one knows what happens to Joel yet, and who knows what kind of problems they are gonna face soon.</p>

<p>No gameplay and story details are revealed yet but the game is rumored to release sometime this 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.</p> 

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/red-dead-redemption-2/">Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/red-dead-redemption-2/">Xbox One</a></h2>
	
	<p>One of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/rockstar-games/">Rockstar</a>’s critically acclaimed series has a sequel. After hints, teasers, and the occasional delays, it’s finally coming. Not many gameplay details were revealed but players get to control a man named Arthur Morgan. A troubled cowboy with a thing for making enemies. Throughout the game, he’ll be making unlikely allies in order to survive the brutal American heartland.</p> 

<p>Story aside, it seems like Rockstar promises to create a world as big as its predecessor and could exceed GTA V’s. The graphics, knowing Rockstar, will be more realistic and fluid. The latest trailer shows moving trains, saddling horses, intense gunfights, and a whole lot of shouting.</p> 

<p>It’s set to release sometime this second half of 2018 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.</p> 

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/death-stranding/">Death Stranding</a></h2>

	<p>It’s announcement during 2016’s E3 made it one of the most anticipated games of this generation. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/kojima-productions/">Kojima</a>’s latest game doesn’t show us any gameplay videos yet, but it features Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus carrying a dead child in a desolated beach. He’s also accompanied by other star-studded casts such as Mads Mikkelsen and popular director Guillermo del Toro.</p>

<p>Silent Hills may have been canceled for good, but this return opens new doors for his video game development dreams.  Del Toro is also helping Kojima as they team up to make an ambitious science-fiction game that might exceed Metal Gear’s.</p>

<p>Although there has been no news on how the game works so far, it’s only a matter of time before Kojima drops a gameplay trailer soon. Unfortunately, we have to make do with its weird cinematics and odd posters for the meantime.</p>

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/god-of-war/">God of War</a></h2>

	<p>The Number One badass from Sony returns in a completely different light. Kratos embarks on a new and perilous adventure to the realm of Norse Mythology. Together with his Son, they go on a grand quest to the realm of Frost Giants and long-serpent monsters.</p>

<p>The game is still in development but every once in awhile they release bits and pieces of the game’s story and gameplay. Not much has changed compared to the original but instead of using his signature Blades, he uses a Magical Axe similar to Thor’s Mjolnir, but without the lightning. Its new third-person camera features a new form of angle that exudes a more hands-on feeling when decapitating monsters.</p>

<p>But that’s not the game’s biggest surprise, a new character, Atreus, his son, will also accompany Kratos in their journey that could change the world as we know it. It’s coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 sometime this 2018.</p>

Use your lightsaber to sever the limbs of Rebel Scum. Unfortunately, you don’t get to breathe the same way as Vader, and that’s kinda disappointing.</p>

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/cogvr/">CogVR</a></h2> 

<p>A brain-teasing VR game where a robot challenges your mind. As you’re trapped in a strange spaceship, prove to these aliens that you’re cognitive skills are way above baseline. These questions are carefully selected to really test your cognitive and rehabilitative clinical skills. It’s not just a game, it’s their own way of promoting mental health awareness.</p> 

<p>It’s coming sometime this early 2018 on the HTC Vive.</p> 



<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/mgsleisure1000/">MGSLeisure1000</a></h2> 

<p>A simple leisure game with a weird title. All you have to do is sit down, strap your VR gear and enjoy over 5 leisure modes such as Bowling, Pool, Table Tennis and even dancing around Night Clubs.</p> 

<p>It’s currently on Steam’s Early Access if you want to try it out, and it’s aiming for a release this January 1st, 2018 on the HTC and Oculus.</p>



<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/world-war-toons/">World War Toons on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/world-war-toons/">PS4</a></h2> 

<p>An odd combination of a tank game and a shooter packed into one. Change any character on the fly as you commandeer your troops to victory in a cartoon-filled battle. Find tanks to grant yourself an edge in battle and find power-ups scattered throughout the map. It’s a game that’s completely designed for Virtual Reality. It takes advantage of the technology, offering a seamless VR experience.</p> 

<p>It’s coming this February 2018 on the HTC, PSVR and Oculus.</p>



<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/overload/">Overload</a></h2> 

<p>A six degree of freedom from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/revival-productions/">Revival Productions</a>. It’s currently on Steam’s Early Access and currently in development. Utilize your piloting skills throughout the game’s various levels. Collect over 13 explosive weapons and face against 12 terrifying robot enemies. It’s still in its development roadmap and you can see their plans on their corresponding pages.</p> 

<p>It’s set to release sometime this 2018 on the PSVR.</p>



<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/moss/">Moss</a></h2> 

<p>Get drawn into a world of magic and mystery in this PlayStation VR exclusive from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/polyarc/">Polyarc</a>. Play as a Quill, a courageous young mouse embarking on an epic quest to save the world after dangerous magic awakened. Travel to fantastic places and forge a unique relationship with this adorable mouse in each passing moment. Interact with its dynamic world and admire its wonder.</p> 

<p>It’s set to release on December 31st, 2018.</p> 



<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/allison-road/">Allison Road</a></h2> 

<p>Ah, the spiritual successor to P.T. Things are looking grim in this game’s development but it’s certainly coming. This first-person horror lets you explore a mysterious house inhabited by a terrifying ghost. Jumpscares are in every corner, but only when the atmosphere kicks in</p>.

<p>It’s coming indefinitely this 2018 on the Oculus Rift.</p>



<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/white-day-2-swan-song/">White Day 2: Swan Song</a></h2> 

<p>This follow up to the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/white-day/">2016 game</a> offers the same spine-tingling chills like before. Apparently, details are scarce since their website is entirely Korean. What we know so far is that it completely changes the way we see White Day and it will offer a nightmare-inducing horror experience.</p> 

<p>Stay tuned for more updates on this game as it releases sometime this 2018 as a PlayStation VR Exclusive.</p>



<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-american-dream/">The American Dream</a></h2> 

<p>A satirical take on the United States of America. Step into a virtual reality trip to the 1950s where everything is white. Picture <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/bioshock/">Bioshock</a> in a more ridiculous sense with subtle racial discrimination, more donuts and of course, free guns. Use your guns to do absolutely anything ordinary to the downright odd. Use it to eat burgers, drive a car or build something. It’s basically an alternate version of your hands. No wonder it’s called the American Dream.</p> 

<p>It’s coming to the Oculus, HTC and PSVR sometime this 2018.</p>



<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/xing-the-land-beyond/">Xing: The Land Beyond</a></h2> 

<p>A VR game that doesn’t necessarily take you to medieval fights and face off ghastly monsters. This zen-like adventure from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/white-lotus-interactive/">White Lotus Interactive</a> lets you explore the land beyond. As a dead person, roam around this beautiful afterlife and interact with interesting stuff. Solve puzzles, uncover a deep mystery and control the weather with your newfound abilities.</p> 

<p>It’s coming to the PS VR sometime this 2018.</p>


<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/dead-secret/">Dead Secret</a></h2> 

<p>Another horror VR on our list. Set in a rural town where anything can happen in the dead of night. Play as an investigator trying to find the reason why a certain professor died. Obtain clues, find bizarre objects and find a potential killer on the loose. It’s deeply creepy as the game progresses and you must be on your toes all the time.</p> 

<p>It’s coming sometime this 2018 as a PS VR game.</p>



<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/gungrave-vr/">Gungrave VR</a></h2> 

<p>A PlayStation 2 classic this cinematic action shooting game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/iggymob/">Iggymob</a> will feature a story that goes beyond Overdose. The game is optimized for virtual reality and that means we get to shoot with infinite bullets, break things, and wreak havoc around its world. It incorporates a mix between first and third-person mode with its dynamic shooting.</p> 

<p>It’s a good classic coming back to life and it’s coming sometime this 2018 as a PS VR exclusive. 



<h2>16. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/legion-commander/">Legion Commander</a></h2> 

<p>A PlayStation VR exclusive. This real-time strategy game takes you to a medieval fantasy world where you play as commander amassing his growing army. Choose among its nine leaders and 38 unique units. Use your VR gear to maneuver around the battlefield while you equip yourself with over 50 magical abilities to crush your enemies with.</p> 

<p>Coming sometime this 2018.</p> 



<h2>17. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/eclipse/">Eclipse</a></h2> 

<p>This virtual reality game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/white-elk/">White Elk</a> takes you to a mystical world where you find an object capable of controlling magic. It’s a first-person adventure with puzzles that dazzle your eyes. You can change the gravity in certain areas or view something in a completely different perspective.</p> 

<p>It’s still in its development state as of now and it’s slated to release sometime next year on the PSVR.</p> 



<h2>18. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/alvo/">Alvo on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/alvo/">PS4</a></h2> 

<p>Picture Counter-Strike in VR. That’s Alvo. Developed by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/mardonpol-inc/">Mardonpol</a>, go all out in this tactical shooter divided into three game modes. Search and Destroy is similar to Counter-Strike where a team of 5 players finds and defuses the bomb while the other team tries to hide it. Then there’s Free 4 All where players go in a brutal deathmatch and finally Domination where your team capture points.</p> 

<p>Not much details were shown but it’s coming sometime this 2018 on the HTC, Oculus, and PSVR.</p>



<h2>19. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/ariel/">Ariel</a></h2> 

<p>A survival horror game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/nuclear-fiction/">Nuclear Fiction</a> set in the confines of a desolate spaceship. Play as Ferdinand Ludec, a kidnapped mathematician trapped in this dreadful place. This features a procedurally generated open-world inside this spaceship. Survive by scavenging the right materials and get immersed with its brilliant sound design. If the unknown scares you, then the game’s sound would surely bring chills to your spine.</p> 

<p>It’s coming to the PSVR sometime this 2018.</p> 



<h2>20. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/end-of-the-beginning/">End Of The Beginning</a></h2> 

<p>Still currently under development, this futuristic sci-fi shooter from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/snaketakes-studios-inc/">Snaketakes Studios</a> aims to provide a seamless cosmic trip to the unknown depths of space. It contains intense space battles, flight combat and a combination of third and first-person action. There’s also rumors stating that the game contains secret government files about the existence of aliens.</p> 

<p>No release date yet, but it’s coming to the PS VR sometime this 2018.</p> 



<h2>21. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/tubular-rift/">Tubular Rift</a></h2> 

<p>The name speaks for itself. It’s a racing game where you get inside dimensional tubes using your Oculus Rift. So you can say it’s pretty… tubular? Anyway, race across the galaxy in these neverending portals to another dimension and take the title of Rift Champion. Race against advanced AI’s and prove that humans are always better at manual reflexes.</p> 

<p>It’s set to release sometime this August 2018.</p> 



<h2>22. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/evasion/">Evasion on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/evasion/">PS4</a></h2> 

<p>A VR shooter designed to immerse players in a fast-paced playing field in high-intensity matches. Choose from a wide variety of classes and join with your friends (or alone) in this futuristic skirmish. The entire game engine is built-in locomotion that offers fluid movement and evasive maneuvers.</p> 

<p>It’s coming to the Oculus and HTC this Spring 2018.</p>



<h2>23. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/time-carnage-vr/">Time Carnage on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/time-carnage/">PS4</a></h2> 

<p>Go back in time in this rampaging Virtual Reality game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/wales-interactive/">Wales Interactive</a>. Fight an army of robots. Zombies, monsters and even dinosaurs in this time-bending carnage. Throughout the game, access over 25 crazy weapons including a baseball bat, laser bows, RPG-7, a medieval crossbow and so much more. For an added challenge, step into its various modes to unlock sweet secrets.</p> 

<p>Coming to the Oculus and HTC this March 13, 2018.</p>

<p>Previously titled as Adoption, Loco Parentis is a virtual reality horror game that puts your normal nights at risk. Play as a young man strolling around the moonlit streets. Things go supernatural as you meet this charming little girl trying to look for her mother. Feeling a slight sense of dread, you accompany her in her search… not knowing what lies in store. Solve puzzles and find out the real story behind this mysterious family. It also has co-op support which lets you play with a friend.</p> 

<p>It’s coming to the Oculus and HTC this February 6, 2018.</p> 



<h2>26. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/cold-iron/">Cold Iron on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/cold-iron/">PS4</a></h2> 

<p>Be a gunslinger in a merciless western society in this upcoming Virtual Reality game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/catch-and-release-llc/">Catch and Release</a>. After witnessing your father’s death, fulfill your personal vendetta by being the best gunslinger in the Wild West. But there’s a twist, step into random portals and face off against sorcerers with your mysterious demonic pistol.</p>

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/super-mario-odyssey/">Super Mario Odyssey</a></h2>

<p>The Switch’s most awaited game since <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/">The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild</a>. This time, we finally have a release date. But that’s not all. Nintendo Direct also gave us a closer look into the game itself, and Mario’s Red shirt-less self. Nipples aside, we got to see a showcase of the Odyssey's worlds and kingdoms. From the icy Shiveria, the watery Bubblaine, and an as-yet-unnamed Tropical island. Collect the hundreds of power moons in each level, experiment with the caps many abilities, and have fun with the nifty snapshot feature for instant photos and edits.</p> 

<p>It’s gonna be one hell of an adventure, and it is coming this October 27th.</p>



<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/xenoblade-chronicles-2/">Xenoblade Chronicles 2</a></h2>

<p>Reported to be twice bigger than the usual Xenoblade game, Nintendo gave us a comprehensive demo on Rex and Pyra's search for paradise. In it, they presented us with some juicy in-game footage. We also got to hear their loveably British voice actors, including the animal companion that aligns with standard butler tropes.</p> 

<p>Marked with a Special Edition release and a Xenoblade themed Pro controller, it's set to release this December 1st.</p>



<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/project-octopath-traveler/">Project Octopath Traveller</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/square-enix/">Square Enix</a> is pretty much synonymous to old-school RPG, and they prove that once again with this RPG from the makers of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/bravely-default-flying-fairy/">Bravely Default</a>. A Switch Exclusive, Project Octopath lets you choose between 8 characters, each with their own journeys around the world of Orsterra. It's a blend of old and new, as they show off the HD 2D art style and demonstrate their exciting combat. Introducing characters like Olberic and Primrose, we're hoping it has the same top-notch quality we've come to expect.</p> 

<p>It's set to release sometime in 2018.</p>



<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/fire-emblem-warriors/">Fire Emblem Warriors</a></h2>

<p>While it’s not a new Fire Emblem Game, Nintendo amps up the volume with this Dynasty Warriors spinoff. We’ve already announced the return of Marth, Xander, Chrom, and other Fire Emblem favorites. But now, we now we also know that the fan-favorite Lyn will also make a comeback. A notable persona from the Gameboy Advanced days, we’re looking forward to more classic character releases.</p> 

<p>Fire Emblem Warriors is set to release on October 20th.</p>



<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/sonic-forces/">Sonic Forces</a></h2>

<p>In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/sega/">SEGA</a>'s anticipated Sonic game, we see the blue hedgehog fighting against a Robotnik bent on world domination. In our previous videos, we said Forces will let you play with 3D and 2.5D planes with their two variations, as well as customize your very own character. Other than a definite release date, there wasn't a lot of new info presented in this recent Direct.</p> 

<p>It's set to release this November 7th.</p> 



<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/pokken-tournament-dx/">Pokken Tournament DX</a></h2>

<p>Inspired by the popular Tekken Series, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bandai-namco-entertainment-inc/">Bandai Namco</a> decided to bring real-time fighting to the Pokemon universe. Play with over 20 pokemon characters from all generations, and watch them duke it out in full 3D. Unfortunately, there wasn't much news on the game, aside from the release of their new demo.</p> 

<p>Get your hands on the exciting monster duels before it releases this September 22nd.</p>



<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/steamworld-dig/">SteamWorld Dig 2</a></h2>

<p>Just one of many eShop releases for the Switch, the 2D action-adventure from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/image-form/">Image and Form</a> digs out of their earthen world and into the console lineup. Play as the steam-powered robot, Dorothy, as he takes the helm of the underground escapade. Mine for orbs, and prepare for a Metroidvania-style adventure.</p> 

<p>It's set to release on the eShop this September 21st.</p>



<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/lost-sphear/">Lost Sphear</a></h2>

<p>Another eShop release, and another revival of the classic JRPG from Square Enix. A spiritual successor to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tokyo-rpg-factory/">Tokyo RPG Factory</a>'s own <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/i-am-setsuna/">I Am Setsuna</a>, Lost Sphear shares the same somber yet memorable familiarity. Play as a young man who awakens the power of memory and restores the world to defeat a powerful force. They've improved on many of Setsuna's mechanics, bringing back the same traditional JRPG atmosphere.</p> 

<p>It's set to release on January 23rd next year.</p> 



<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/">Skyrim</a></h2>

<p>Todd Howard's medieval fantasy world now has an official release date for the Switch. First released on the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/">PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps3/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/">PS3</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-360/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/">Xbox 360</a> in 2011, the open-world RPG surprisingly made it to Nintendo's newest console--opening us up to the exciting possibility of portable questing. Along with the release date announcement, we also got a sneak peek of the special armor unlock of the Zelda Amiibo.</p> 

<p>It's set to release on November 17th.</p>



<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/fifa-18/">FIFA 18</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ea-vancouver/">EA</a>'s flagship football game is also making an entrance to the Switch. This year, FIFA ramps up the football action with usual visual improvements and the continuation of Alex Hunter's story-based mode. With 52 fully licensed stadiums and many of today's biggest football superstars, it's definitely the biggest FIFA game yet.</p> 

<p>It's set to release this September 29th.</p> 



<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/nba-2k18/">NBA 2K18</a></h2> 

	<p>The gold standard of Basketball games makes its way to the Switch. Put yourself in the court and improve your opportunities in MyCareer, or build your own name in MyGM. Compete against this year’s hyper-realistic basketball superstars, and gain advantages with improved dribbling and shooting mechanics. With the Switch's power, we're expecting it to boast the same graphical quality as its home-based companions.</p> 

<p>It's another opportunity to show them who's King, and it's coming this September 2017.</p>



<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/wwe-2k18/">WWE 2K18</a></h2>

<p>Step into the ring with the wrestling superstars in another one of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/2k-games/">2K</a>'s yearly sports releases. For this year's release, they're fleshing out their MyCAREER Mode to let players live out their wrestling dreams. With two options to choose from, you can help realize the visions of WWE General Managers in Company Man or focus on mastering the ring in the Fan Favorite Path. Take a steel chair and wreck the competition, onstage and off.</p>

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/golf-story/">Golf Story</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/sidebar-games/">Sidebar Games</a> puts a twist on the usual golf game with this adorable, golf-centric pixel world. Compared to the stiff and rigid environments of other games, Golf Story offers an open world for golf practice. Tee up around their 8 different environments, meet its diverse cast of characters, and take on their many problems with the power of golf.</p> 

<p>Welcome yourself into this cute and relaxing world! Set to release on the Nintendo eShop this September.</p>



<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/super-meat-boy-forever/">Super Meat Boy Forever</a></h2>

<p>Edmund Mcmillen's tough as nails platformer was just a side note in the big Nintendo event, but we're excited anyway. A sequel to the successful Super Meat Boy, help the eponymous hero navigate through the tricky traps of his world to rescue his precious baby Nugget.</p> 

<p>Already revealed during Nintendo's Livestream for indie releases, Super Meat Boy is set to release on the eShop sometime in 2018.</p> 



<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/nine-parchments/">Nine Parchment</a></h2>

<p>Take your friends into the fantasy world of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/frozenbyte/">Frozenbyte</a>'s Nine Parchments and blast the land's creatures together. As rookie wizards, you'll have to learn new spells along the way. Release a kaleidoscope of magical spells, and hope you'll survive the journey to the Nine Parchments. It's a fun, cooperative game that's a perfect addition to the Switch's lineup.</p>

<p>Collect ingredients, cook meals and solve puzzles in this artistic Kickstarter creation. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/trinket-studios/">Trinket Studios</a> match-three puzzle game puts you in the shoes of a Magical Chef cooking up a storm for a grand competition. Gather ingredients in the forests and defeat towering monsters using a complex but intuitive combat mechanics.</p> 

<p>With its wonderful designs and exciting challenges, it's set to release on the eShop this Holiday Season.</p> 



<h2>17. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/tiny-metal/">Tiny Metal</a></h2>

<p>Inspired by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/intelligent-systems/">Intelligent Systems</a>' Advance Wars, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/area35/">Area 35</a>'s Tiny Metal is a tactical turn-based game that puts you in the middle of an an ongoing war. Play as a military Lieutenant and lead your troop to victory against the nation of Zipang. Plan your strategies around the various terrains as you move through 10 hours of single player campaign.</p> 

<p>A great substitute for the seemingly forgotten Advance Wars, and it's set to release on the eShop this Autumn.</p>



<h2>18. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/rocket-league/">Rocket League</a></h2>

	<p>Mixing football with futuristic rocket-propelled cars, the popular sports game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/psyonix/">Psyonix</a> is making its way to the Switch. Embrace a high-octane, high-flying action with you and your friends as you put your steering skills to maximum overdrive. It’s still the same game but with exclusive Nintendo-based cars. Not to mention it’s cross-play feature increases the range of more players, giving Nintendo, PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 a chance to coexist together.</p>

<h2>19. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/wolfenstein-ii-the-new-colossus/">Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus</a></h2> 

	<p>Set in an alternate timeline where Germans win World War II, return to the troubled life of BJ Blazkowicz and paint walls red with Nazi blood in a wheelchair-bound machine gun massacre. Developed by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/machinegames/">MachineGames</a>, the series welcomes you back with its signature gore, sadism, and hilarity as you fight along with the resistance to beheading rebels, and bringing the fuhrer back to his rightful place--underground. Visually pleasing, and oh so satisfying. We can’t wait on how Switch’s hardware handles it.</p>

<h2>20. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/kirby-star-allies/">Kirby: Star Allies</a></h2>

	<p>The untitled Kirby game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/hallab/">HAL Laboratory</a> we talked about before finally has a name. Kirby Allies puts you into the shoes of the adorable pink creature. Go on an epic quest alone or with your friends as you destroy evil with their unique abilities. Not many details were unveiled, but the gameplay trailer shows that Kirby can combine powers with his new eating abilities. We can’t say much yet, but we know the game is gonna be magical.</p>

<h2>21. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/dragon-quest-builders/">Dragon Quest: Builders</a></h2>

	<p>Considering its sequel is coming out sometime soon, this Sony original makes the perfect preview for new fans of the sandbox genre. Although we don’t have any clues as to what the new features are, it’s still the same Builders game we know and love from Sony’s platform. It may share the same elements as Minecraft but it’s packed with the solid RPG goodness Dragon Quest was known.</p>

<h2>22. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/doom/">Doom</a></h2>

	<p>Ever since Skyrim’s announcement to the Switch, this was bound to happen. Bethesda is slowly packing together its hit games to Nintendo’s latest platform. All we have to do now is wait for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/fallout-4/">Fallout 4</a>’s impending announcement. It’s the same gory space-killing adventures of our favorite Doomguy. Eviscerate demons with brutal kills, powerful guns and futuristic angst.</p>

<h2>23. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/morphies-law/">Morphies Law</a></h2>

<p>A shooter with a unique mechanic. Dubbed as a Massive MORPHIPlayer, go on a 4 versus 4 battle with your enemies by stealing body mass. Yes, you heard that right.</p> 

<p>By shooting the corresponding body parts of your enemy, your body part gets bigger and your enemy goes smaller. This body-morphing feature changes the way you play. The first team to make their Avatar bigger wins. It may sound ridiculous but it goddamn works.</p>

<h2>24. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/resident-evil-revelations-collection/">Resident Evil Revelations Collection</a></h2>
	
<p>Before <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/capcom/">CAPCOM</a> went first-person with their latest Resident Evil game, there was the third-person shooting adventures of Chris and Jill as they investigate the derelict ship of Queen Zenobia. Its sequel also takes you to the life of Barry Burton as he searches for his missing daughter.</p> 

<p>In this episodic series, uncover the mysteries of the Umbrella corporation once again and find out who’s pulling the strings with another bio organic threat.</p>

<h2>25. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/la-noire/">L.A. Noire</a></h2>

	<p>Who would’ve thought? For anyone missing out <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/rockstar-games/">Rockstar</a>’s amazing thriller-adventure game, now’s your chance to pick this up. It’s also coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.</p>

<p>This Switch edition will contain all the DLC’s from the original, as well as some enhanced textures. The Joy-Con also offers new features including HD rumble and various gesture-based options.</p> 

<p>It’s coming this November 14, 2017.</p> 



<h2>26. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/snipperclips-plus-cut-it-out-together/">Snipperclips Plus</a></h2>

<p>Not really a system seller, but it was a cutting edge favorite among the Switch's launch titles. Adorable, delightfully creative, but a little short-lived. Snip and Clip return in this expanded version of the original. The couch co-op fun continues as you snip about alone and with friends in three different game modes.</p> 

<p>Available in physical versions, and as a DLC for Snipperclip owners, It's set to release this November 10th.</p>



<h2>27. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/arena-of-valor/">Arena of Valor</a></h2>

<p>Nabbing the title of first MOBA for the Switch. This game brought classic 5v5 hero action to the mobile, and now it's headed to Nintendo's portable console. Much like DotA and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/league-of-legends/">LOL</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tencent/">Tencent</a>'s Arena of Valor lets you play with over 40 heroes with their own roles and skills. Use the map to your advantage and pave your way to victory in their varying game modes.</p>

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/shin-megami-tensei-strange-journey-redux/">Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux</a></h2>

<p>The third and last <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/atlus/">Atlus</a> game on our list. A mysterious anomaly has caused an uproar in Antarctica. This spatial distortion release demons that could engulf the human race. In celebration of Shin Megami Tensei’s 25th Anniversary, this reimagined port of the DS original takes you to their strange world once again.</p> 

<p>Don your Demonica in this expanded port with new story content, additional endings, dungeons, and more. Similar to Radiant Historia, a new major character will be introduced that can alter the game’s story. Join her as you interact with demons from all around its world. It’s like Pokemon, but with more mature content.</p> 

<p>We can’t wait for the upcoming SMT game Atlus has for the Switch next year. Strange Journey Redux releases early 2018.</p> 

<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/radiant-historia-perfect-chronology/">Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology</a></h2> 

<p>The 2011 game from the Nintendo DS returns with an expanded port to the 3DS. Rewrite history once more as you possess the White Chronicle. Be one step ahead of your enemies and uncover the world’s true conclusion with this magical power.</p> 

<p>A reimagining of the original, experience this magical world with redesigned character art, new character voiceovers, brand new opening animations, illustrations and musical tracks from the legendary Yoko Shimomura. Just like most <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/jrpg/">JRPG</a>’s the cast of characters return especially its main character Stocke. Go on an epic quest with memorable characters and shocking plot twists.</p> 

<p>Gameplay remains the same with their positioning-based battle system and unique time-travelling mechanics. But the path is not always easy. Your decisions will create a ripple in time with the game’s new character called Nemesia. This mysterious character grants you a secret scenario if you play your cards right.</p>

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/etrian-odyssey-v-beyond-the-myth/">Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond The Myth</a></h2> 

	<p>Atlus is still making waves on the 3DS in this fifth main installment of the long-running Etrian Odyssey is finally here. V or Beyond The Myth tells a new tale of the adventurer as he finds a way to reach the top of Yggdrasil, the World Tree.</p> 

<p>It’s a choose-your-own-odyssey type of story takes you to gorgeous lands and face off brutal beasts. Using the game’s signature turn-based combat. Roam around its labyrinthine world with danger and mystery.</p>

<p>There’s more stuff poured over this fifth entry. From new unique races to 10 unique classes, its customization is worth the money content-wise. It’s coming this October 17, 2017.</p> 

<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/apollo-justice-ace-attorney/">Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney</a></h2>

<p>Another classic remade into the modern generations. Take a look back to Apollo's trials in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/capcom/">Capcom</a>'s fourth installment of their Ace Attorney series. Originally released on the Nintendo DS, it follows Phoenix Wright's up and coming apprentice as he deals with a number of cases, among them, involving his own mentor.</p>

<p>Defend your clients from false accusations, and prove them innocent in the court of law using solid evidence, and the power of deduction. Gather clues around the 2D world, cross-examine your witnesses, and interview the relevant personalities. This title also marked the introduction of the "Perceive System" that lets you find weaknesses and shows of nervousness in your witnesses' body language.</p> 

<p>Just like other remakes in the series, this release of Apollo Justice will also have its own set of visual upgrades and all-new features. Get a hold of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/visual-novel/">visual novel</a>'s fresh new look, and uncover new clues by dusting down the crime scene.</p> 

<p>A well-loved title is made even better, and it's coming out this November.</p>

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/fire-emblem-warriors/">Fire Emblem Warriors</a></h2>

<p>When videogame giants combine forces, you know you're in for something great. While it's not a brand new Fire Emblem Game, this <a href="https://whatoplay.com/vita/dynasty-warriors-next/">Dynasty Warriors</a> spinoff packs everything we love about the two series and more. Engage in an exciting <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/hack-and-slash/">hack and slash</a> combat with your favorite characters from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/awakening-the-goblin-kingdom-collectors-edition/">Awakening</a>, Fates, and Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.</p> 

<p>Although it's been reported that developers <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/omega-force/">Omega Force</a> will focus on characters from One Awakening, Fates, and SDBL, things are looking up for the other series with the recent addition of Lyn. A popular character from the FE's Gameboy advanced days, it bodes well for other notable characters that were not in the announced titles.</p> 

<p>Fire Emblem Warriors is set to release on October 20th.</p>

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/pokemon-ultra-sun/">Pokemon Ultra Sun</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/pokemon-ultra-moon/">Pokemon Ultra Moon</a></h2>

<p>One of the highlights for the Nintendo 3DS is the Ultra Version of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/pokemon-sun-and-moon/">2016's Sun and Moon</a> pairing. Set in an alternate storyline, jump into a new adventure with a fresh set of clothes, and of course, a lineup of cool new pokemon. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/nintendo/">Nintendo</a>'s latest Direct introduced us to two mysterious new Ultra Beasts, and Necrozma's new fusions with this version's cover stars.</p>

<p>If you purchase Ultra Sun, you'll get to meet the clown-like UB-Burst, and Necrozma's Dusk Mane form; while Ultra Moon will let stroll along with the tower-like UB Assembly, and Necrozma's Dawn Wings fusion. But that's not all. First announced in August, the wolf pokemon Lycancroc has a lot in store with his new Dusk Form evolution and his exclusive move called the Splintered Stormshards.</p> 

<p>Buy the Gold or Silver versions on the eShop, and you'll even get a free Mythical Celebi! It's a lot to take in, sure, but it's a whole lot to be excited for.</p> 

<p>The two versions are set to release this November 17th.</p>

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/pokemon-gold/">Pokemon Gold</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/pokemon-silver/">Pokemon Silver</a></h2>

<p>Released on the Gameboy Color in 1999, Pokemon Gold and Silver are one of the most beloved installments of the whole <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/rpg/">RPG</a> series, and it's no doubt been part of many of our lives. It expanded on the growing world of adorable pocket monsters and was one of the revolutionary titles of its time. But, with Nintendo's recent announcement, the Pokemon classic is welcoming itself back into our hearts with their upcoming arrival.</p>

<p>Step out of the modern 3D worlds, and return to the series' humble 2D roots. Rediscover the mysteries of the Johto region, and brave the perilous journey to the top along with classic starters, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Chikorita. Adding over 100 different pokemon, fill up your Pokedex once again and relive the excitement of monster training. Gotta catch em all over again!</p> 

<p>Set to release on September 22nd.</p>

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/mario-and-luigi-superstar-saga-bowsers-minions/">Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions</a></h2>

<p>Mario and Luigi have had their separate adventures for years but there's no denying that they're always at their best when they're together. Get ready for a splash of red and green as we return to one of the epic sagas that launched the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/search?keywords=mario%20%26%20luigi">Mario and Luigi series</a>--with a bit of a Bowser twist. Take a trek towards a renewed Beanbean kingdom and help the brothers on their quest to restore Princess Peach's precious voice.</p> 

<p>A different take on a Mario adventure, Mario and Luigi do away with their usual platforming action to solve the world's puzzle with their brothers moves. Switch between the two mustachioed muchachos and perform cool, superpowered techniques. The Bowers Minions additions also entail a new storyline edition, amassing an army of minions (mushroom or otherwise) to save their missing leader.</p> 

<p>With enhanced graphics, added features, and a whole new storyline, it' set to release on October 6th.</p>

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/kirby-battle-royale/">Kirby Battle Royale</a></h2>

	<p>Two Kirby games are gonna take over Nintendo’s consoles in the coming months. With <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/kirby-star-allies/">Star Allies</a>, take Kirby to an epic adventure with magic and mayhem on the Switch, while Battle Royale on the 3DS puts our adorable pink creature to an arena filled with more Kirbys.</p> 

<p>It’s the only newly announced game on this list during this year’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/news/nintendo-direct-sep-2019-update/">Nintendo Direct</a>. Battle Royale is a tournament like no other. Face off with Kirby’s different versions along with their own unique abilities. Its <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/multiplayer/">local online and co-op</a> provides a whole lot of fun with 10 different game modes.</p>

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/yo-kai-watch-2-psychic-specters/">Yo Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters</a></h2> 

	<p>Travel back in time to discover the humble beginnings of your adorable Yo-Kais. This is the definitive Yo-Kai Watch experience. Fans of the series will be delighted to know that this version from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/level-5/">Level-5</a> will add new layers of Yo-Kai fun including new Yo-Kais to befriend, exclusive quests, new maps, and an origin story of Darknyan.</p> 

<p>You can transfer your save files from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/yo-kai-watch-2-bony-spirits/">Bony Spirits</a> or <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/yo-kai-watch-2-fleshy-souls/">Fleshy Souls</a> to pick up where you left the game. If the need for challenge arises, go on its revamped Yo-Kai Watch Blasters mode for co-op fun.</p> 

<p>The game is coming out this September 29!</p>  

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/laytons-mystery-journey-katrielle-and-the-millionaires-conspiracy/">Layton’s Mystery Journey</a></h2> 

	<p>Akira Tago may have been long gone but this doesn’t stop them to continue the legacy of Layton’s adventures. This is the seventh main entry of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/search?keywords=professor%20layton">Professor Layton series</a> and it throws out the old, and in with the new.</p> 

<p>The big twist in this game is the switch in character. You now control Lady Layton. A brilliant and young investigator searching for her missing father, the great Professor Layton.</p> 

<p>She’s accompanied by her friends and her adorable pet dog to explore London and solve a grueling mystery that can save her father. Follow her as she <a href="https://whatoplay.com/3ds/puzzle/">solve puzzles</a> in a visual novel style gameplay. It utilizes the the 3DS’ touch features to communicate with most of the game’s fun puzzle mechanics. These puzzles can range from various forms of thinking: Solve math problems, use your logic, mazes, and so much more.</p> 

<p>It’s coming this October 6, 2017.</p>
