BioWare has just announced the upcoming release of the Legendary Edition of the Mass Effect trilogy. This edition will bring Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 to 4K UHD, and it will include over 40 DLC.

Check out the reveal trailer:

One person is all that stands between humanity and the greatest threat it’s ever faced. Relive the legend of Commander Shepard in the highly acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy with the Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition. Includes single-player base content and over 40 DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 games, including promo weapons, armors, and packs – remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD.

The Mass Effect trilogy was one of the franchises that defined the seventh generation of gaming (PS3 and Xbox 360), and with the recent launch of the 9th gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the remastered version of the original trilogy is a great way to get new fans into the franchise.

Though Mass Effect: Andromeda may not have hit the mark when it released back in 2017, hopefully this Legendary Edition will keep fans hyped for the franchise until the release of the next big Mass Effect title.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition comes to PS4 and Xbox One on May 14 and is now available for pre-order. Fans should also expect an enhancement for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Origin and Steam. More games are available in our list of Upcoming PS4 Games and Upcoming Xbox One Games.
