<p>In the meantime, players who have already pre-registered for the upcoming game can expect to receive exclusive items upon its release. Some special rewards included British campus-style fashion, helmets, and Aston Martin DB11 Paint.</p>

<p>NetEase also said they would roll out more rewards before the game goes live on the App Store and Play Store. </p>

<p><q>The release of Ace Racer is just one week away, but there's still time to nab some in-game goodies,</q> the game developer said in a press release.</p>

<p>Ace Racer features arcade-style racing gameplay. It can be played in various modes, such as single-player, multiplayer, and training. It also has a character customization option.</p>

<p>Like its Chinese version, Ace Racer Global will have a gacha system.</p>

<p>Ace Racer first came out for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/ace-racer/" title="Ace Racer for iPhone and iPad">iOS</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/ace-racer/" title="Ace Racer for Android">Android</a> devices in China in 2021. It took NetEase approximately two years to prepare for the game's global release.</p>

Ace Racer Breaks Records with Over 1 Million Pre-Registrations Ahead of Worldwide Launch

<p>Good news for players of the mobile version of the popular <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/genre/mmorpg/">MMORPG</a> <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/grandchase/">GrandChase</a>! Beginning March 7, they can get ahold of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/grandchase/">GrandChase</a>'s newest hero, Decanee.</p>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/kog-co-ltd/">KOG Games</a> confirmed in a press release that they had launched their latest SR 5★ Hero for iOS and Android players. <q>Players can acquire the SR 5★ Hero Decanee just by logging into the game,</q> they said.</p>

<p>The Korean game developer and publisher first revealed news about Decanee's arrival last January. After making the announcement, they even rolled out a Decanee-themed event for PC and mobile.</p>

<p>Developers described Decanee as a <q>ranger hero who shreds the enemy with the sharp Evil Eye imbued with the powers of the void.</q> They added that she could summon creatures who could protect her while increasing her powers.</p>

<p>Aside from the character itself, KOG Games has also released tie-up events and challenges, including the Decanee Step Up. Players need to accomplish the Decanee Step Up challenge to obtain her Evil Eye weapon. After completing the challenge, they can unlock the newest hero's pet, Malefi. As their Decanee grows stronger, players can also get extra EXP, Gold, Evolution Cubes, and Equipment Crafting Materials.</p>

<p>In the meantime, KOG Games decided to revive past events like the Grand Express Return. The GrandChase's creators reinstated the limited event to help new and returning players catch up.</p>

<p><q>All players will receive the heroes and the materials needed for their growth, such as Chaser Cubes, Chaser Crystals, Soul Essences, and Soul Imprint Cubes,</q> they added.</p>

<p>The mobile version of GrandChase serves as a sequel to the hit 2003 two-dimensional RPG. It takes players into the aftermath of the events in the Tower of Disappearance.</p>

<p>KOG Games launched GrandChase for iOS and Android phones in 2018. Back then, it was known under a different title: GrandChase: Dimensional Chaser and GrandChase for kakao in South Korea.</p>

<p>Considered one of the most successful MMORPG titles in the early 2000s, KOG pulled the plug on GrandChase in 2015. While developers did not officially disclose the reason, gamers have long speculated it may be due to software limitations.</p>

KOG Studios Launches New Character for GrandChase's Mobile Game

<p>Players can now access <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/kerbal-space-program-2/">Kerbal Space Program 2</a>, the much-awaited sequel to the popular space program sim game. Private Division and Intercept Games opened Kerbal Space Program 2's Early Access version on February 24. The game is still limited to PC devices, the developers added. The <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/kerbal-space-program-2/">PlayStation 5</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/kerbal-space-program-2/">Series X|S</a> versions are scheduled later this year.</p>

<p>The game, however, received mixed reviews from players a few days after its <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/genre/early-access/">Early Access</a> mode went online. As of March 3, it received a dismal gamer score of 5.0 based on over 10,0000 reviews on Steam.</p>

<p>Gamers criticized the game's buggy state. Some also complained about the "steep early access price." On the other hand, others also came to the game's defense. They urged other players to "give the game more time" as it is still in early access mode.</p>

<p>Kerbal Space Program was first launched in 2015. It received critical acclaim. The game also got several awards. Some of its accolades were the "Best Simulation Award 2015" from PC Gamer, and "Best Gameplay" and "Community Choice" during the Unity Awards 2015.</p>

<p>News about a sequel in the pipeline came out a few years later. In 2020, developers publicly announced they had started working on Kerbal Space Program 2.</p> 

<p>Like the first game, players in Kerbal Space Program 2 must help extraterrestrial creatures called Kerbals navigate space.
Its creators promised to introduce new and improved features for the sequel. These included new points of interest in the Kerbolar System and more options for customization.</p>

<p>This development also made Elden Ring Bandai's fastest-selling title "of all time," according to reports from gaming news sites. A month after its release in 2022, the publisher sold over 13 million copies of Elden Ring.</p>

Choice-based narrative game with "rich lore and atmosphere" - Devs

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, New Title from Life is Strange Studio, Out this June

<p>Creators of the award-winning cyberpunk <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/genre/rpg/" title="Best PS5 RPGs">RPG, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/gamedec/">Gamedec</a>, have unveiled more details about its upcoming PlayStation release. And it includes a launching date.</p>

<p>Perp Games and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/anshar-studios/">Anshar Studio</a> have announced that GameDec will be open to PlayStation 5 players on February 24. In earlier statements, they reported that the isometric, narrative RPG would come out on PS5 devices "early 2023."</p>

<p>The gaming companies also dropped a new trailer on YouTube to celebrate Gamedec's expansion to PS5 consoles. It showed some of the changes and upgrades they made to support PS5 mechanics and haptics. These included the option for players to experience it in 4k resolution.</p>

<p>Perp Games also confirmed they would roll out physical copies of Gamedec next month. <q>We're releasing the game physically on March 10th, too!</q> they wrote in the comment section. Anshar Studio and Perp Games first announced producing Gamedec for PS5 consoles in December 2022.</p>

<p>It took roughly two years for Anshar Studio, the independent, Poland-based developer, to port Gamedec to Sony's next-generation consoles.</p>

<p>The tech-noir RPG first launched for PC in 2021. But at that time, developers had already revealed plans to create versions that could support consoles like the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. They <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/gamedec/" title="Gamedec on Nintendo Switch">launched the game for Nintendo Switch devices in July 2022</a>.</p>

<p>Gamedec is set in a fictionalized 22nd-century Warsaw, Poland. Based on the short stories from Polish science-fiction author Marcin Przybyłek, it tells the adventures of a "game detective." Players become digital detectives tasked with solving crimes plaguing the capital's virtual realm.</p>

U<p>pon its release, Gamedec received positive reviews from gamers and critics alike, with the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/gamedec/">PC version receiving a playscore of 7.4</a>.</p>

Tech-Noir RPG Gamedec Goes Live on PlayStation Today

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/below/">Below</a>, the action-adventure game where players explore the underbelly of a remote island is getting a physical edition. Meridiem Games has announced that a boxed Special Edition of Below is headed for PlayStation 4 devices.</p>

<p>The Spanish video game distributor has confirmed its collaboration with Serenity Forge and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/capybara-games/">Capybara Games</a> in producing physical copies of Below. <q>Meridiem Games will be working closely with Serenity Forge on the design and manufacturing processes of the boxed Special Edition,</q> they said.</p>

<p>According to a press release dated February 16, the boxed Special Edition will be available in European specialty stores on <strong>March 31</strong>. It will contain a physical map of The Isle and a concept art book. Both will allow players to <q>dive deeper into the game's inspiration, conception, and creation,</q> said Meridiem.</p>

<p>The upcoming special edition for Below will serve as the game's first physical copy. Toronto-based Capybara Games first released it in 2018 for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/below/" title="Below for PC">PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/below/" title="Below for Xbox One">Xbox One</a>. It took the indie game developer around six years to complete it. They later expanded to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/below/" title="Below for PlayStation 4">PS4</a> devices in 2020.</p>

<p>Below lets players take control of a warrior who ended up on a tiny and mysterious island. From a top-down perspective, they need to explore, survive, and learn more about the new-found territory. The exploration, however, takes place in the island's underground labyrinths.</p>

<p>As the title suggests, players must dive and spelunk below and deeper into the Island. Their survival skills also get tested, as the game does not provide any hints or guides. Any wrong move might result in instant death, developers described.</p>

<p>Indie game developer <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/wanadevstudio/">WanadevStudio</a> said that they were able to get Ragnarock to work on PlayStation devices. The French developer said the virtual reality (VR) game went live for the PSVR 2 on February 21.</p>

<p>A date has been set for the global release of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/street-fighter-duel/" title="Street Fighter Duel for Android">Street Fighter: Duel</a>, the first mobile game in the multi-million dollar video game franchise. Street Fighter: Duel will launch on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/street-fighter-duel/">iOS</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/street-fighter-duel/">Android</a> phones this February 21, publisher A Plus Japan announced.</p>

<p>The Tokyo-based entertainment and gaming company also said pre-registration has begun. They said players from Europe, the Middle East, and "other non-English speaking regions" can pre-register on the App Store and Play Store. Street Fighter: Duel is a collaboration between Japan's Capcom and USA's <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/crunchyroll-games/">Crunchyroll Games</a>. The development of this game was first announced in 2019, and a year later, it was launched for players in China by Capcom, TOPJOY, and Tencent Games.</p>

<p>On February 1 last year, Crunchyroll confirmed that they would release Street Fighter: Duel worldwide. They added that it would serve as the franchise's first-ever RPG title. This means players can expect more than its signature 1v1 combat mode.</p>

<p>According to its developers, they want to welcome existing fans and new players into the Street Fighter series. <q>[It] is a new take on the famed franchise with features and gameplay mechanics for new, returning, and long-time fans,</q> Crunchyroll said.</p>

<p>As an <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/best/rpg/" title="Best iOS RPGs">RPG</a>, Street Fighter: Duel will feature a campaign in which players must defeat Seth and Shadaloo's army. On the other hand, developers promised they would bring iconic locations in the Street Fighter franchise for its mobile game. These included the airfield, bathhouse, and a night scene.</p>

<p>Like most titles under the Street Fighter series, Duel will be a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/free/" title="List of free Android games">free-to-play game</a>. It will have English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese languages.</p>

<p>Street Fighter first came out in 1987. It is considered one of the highest-grossing video game franchises. Its success led its producers to create an animation series, live-action films, manga, and comics.</p>

Pre-register now for the first-ever RPG title in the franchise

Street Fighter: Duel Mobile Game set to Conquer the World on Feb. 21

<p>Things are now looking up for the storied <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/telltale-games/">Telltale Games</a>. The California-based game studio raised $8 million in its Series A round on February 16. <a href="https://hiro.capital/">Hiro Capital</a> and <a href="https://www.skybound.com/">Skybound Entertainment</a> led the latest funding round, Telltale Games confirmed.</p>

<p>With fresh funds, executives at Telltale expressed optimism about releasing new games soon. These included several of its much-anticipated titles.</p>

<p><q>We are honored to have the confidence of Hiro Capital, a fund committed to the future of the games industry. And that of our colleagues at Skybound Entertainment,</q> said Jamie Ottilie, CEO of Telltale Games.</p>

<p>The studio will use significant portions of the new capital for game development. They are working on The Expanse: A Telltale Series and A Wolf Among Us.</p>

<p>As scheduled, Telltale will launch <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-expanse-a-telltale-series/">The Expanse: A Telltale Series</a> this summer. They tapped Deck Nine Games to <q>develop a new story for The Expanse universe.</q> The upcoming game will be a prequel to the popular sci-fi TV series. <q>These investments will help us realize that vision,</q> said Ottilie.</p>

<p>Venture capitalists from Hiro Capital decided to support Telltale Games for its <q>vision to build the next generation of narrative adventure games.</q> Based in Luxembourg, their investment record involved games and metaverse technologies. The video game industry legend, Sir Ian Livingstone, is one of its co-founders. Livingstone, in a statement, wrote that they saw potential in Telltale Games. <q>The guiding tenets of great storytelling and fun gameplay have always been at the heart of everything I've built or invested in over the past 50 years,</q> he said.</p>

<p>Before bankrolling Telltale Games, Hiro Capital also backed Skybound Entertainment in 2022. Skybound Entertainment worked with Telltale for The Walking Dead's first video game adaptation in 2018.</p>

<p>Telltale, previously known as Telltale Incorporated, returned to the gaming industry in 2019. It underwent a 'majority studio closure' in the previous year. The "majority studio closure" in 2018 forced the company to lay off at least 250 employees. / ### </p>
