Over 1 million players have pre-registered for the worldwide launch of Ace Racer, NetEase Games' racing game. NetEase confirmed that the game had received more than 1 million pre-registrations as of March 8. The free-to-play mobile game is set to launch globally on March 16.
In the meantime, players who have already pre-registered for the upcoming game can expect to receive exclusive items upon its release. Some special rewards included British campus-style fashion, helmets, and Aston Martin DB11 Paint.
NetEase also said they would roll out more rewards before the game goes live on the App Store and Play Store.
The release of Ace Racer is just one week away, but there's still time to nab some in-game goodies,
the game developer said in a press release.
Ace Racer features arcade-style racing gameplay. It can be played in various modes, such as single-player, multiplayer, and training. It also has a character customization option.
Developers promised to bring to life the true-to-life visuals of some of the world's most elite cars. Players can expect to drive a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, a Nissan GT-R, or an Aston Martin DB11 for the global version.
The game also comes with 'scenic racetracks' from California to Tokyo. Players can take snapshots of their trips using the game's Photo Trip mode, NetEase confirmed.
Like its Chinese version, Ace Racer Global will have a gacha system.
Ace Racer first came out for iOS and Android devices in China in 2021. It took NetEase approximately two years to prepare for the game's global release.
In 2022, the Guangzhou-based developer activated a closed beta test of Ace Racer's global version for Android players in the Philippines. They later expanded the beta test for players in Canada and the United States. / ###
