The much-awaited console versions of the award-winning puzzle game <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/eternal-threads/">Eternal Threads</a> is coming soon.

Secret Mode and Cosmonaut Studios recently unveiled the launch dates for the console version of Eternal Threads. In a press release, the two studios announced they will roll out the 2022 game this May 23rd. It can be played on next-gen Xbox and PlayStation devices as well as on Nintendo Switch.

Eternal Threads first came out for PC in 2022. Upon its release, the game received wide praise. Whatoplay gave it a playscore of 8.2.

It also bagged several awards and recognition. This included the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/puzzle/">Best Puzzle Game</a> award at the TIGA Games Industry Awards. It also received an Honorable Mention for Excellence in Narrative at the Independent Games Festival.

Eternal Threads is a single-player, first-person adventure. The game features a non-linear narrative puzzle. It throws players into an alternate universe where time-traveling is possible. There, they become a rookie time traveler named Operator 43. Their mission, under Second Chance Project, is to fix a corrupted timeline.

In turn, players found themselves in North England in 2015 when a house fire claimed the lives of six people. As Operator 43, they must find a way to save them all under one condition. And that is they should not prevent the fire from happening.

Each of the six housemates can be saved in multiple ways. This leaves players with multiple choices that have lasting effects on their futures.

Some choices will have minor ripples. Meanwhile, others will completely rewrite the timeline. Or even introducing new events and possibly replacing them entirely.

A console edition of Eternal Threads was initially planned shortly after its debut on PC. The reasons for the delay remain unknown.

Players avoid the show’s cancellation by putting tension on screen. They must balance drama and romance to keep viewers glued to their seats. 

The developers dubbed this game as a ‘thirst-person shooter.’ Meaning it does not always put the players behind the scenes. Getting close to the action takes Jae into the everyday lives of the cast. There is beauty in timing the shots between a sumptuous drama. 

The Crush House comprises multiple TV seasons. It also comes with their own commercial breaks. Each season is unique based on the player’s chosen cast. Audience impact can skew the results as well. This leaves players with a constant conundrum on what to focus first.

There is a lingering mystery behind the game’s seemingly vibrant nature. The longer the player keeps the show on air, the more questions arise. Keen-eyed players will uncover a conspiracy within the Network. It opens up new challenges faced in Jae’s budding career.

The demo for Fishbowl offers players a glimpse into the first day of Alo's month-long exploration of grief. As well as self-discovery and the complexities of young adulthood.

Fishbowl is developed by Rhea Gupte and Prateek Saxena. Both Gupte and Saxena formed <a href="http://imissmyfriends.studio">imissmyfriends.studio</a> for the creation of the game.

"This demo is a small window into the themes and storylines we explore in the full game. We hope it gives players a peek into Alo's life and leaves them wanting more," said Gupte.

Fishbowl is a narrative-driven, slice-of-life game. It revolves around the life of 21-year-old Alo, who moved to a new city for her first job. However, Alo finds herself grappling with grief instead after losing her grandmother.

The choices she makes each day shape her unique path of self-discovery. From video calls with loved ones to video editing work, presented as an arcade-style matching game.

Players will also help Alo sort through her grandmother's belongings. They will guide her in piecing together cherished memories by unpacking puzzles. Throughout the experience, self-care becomes an important part of Alo's journey. This will also encourage players to prioritize well-being alongside exploration and decision-making.

"We've poured our hearts into every detail of Fishbowl, from the pixel art to the music and narrative," Gupte said.

In the meantime, players can learn more about Fishbowl with the newest trailer creators published. It showcases snippets of the diverse cast of characters Alo will encounter.

The video also included footage of rediscovering her childhood memories as well as the emotional journey that awaits players in the full game.

In the ‘Better Together’ update, up to four gun-wielding wizards join forces inside the Shatter. Crumbling remnants of a world destroyed by Chaos. It is a place teeming with dangerous creatures and mysteries. 

The 4-player co-op will not make the game easier. In fact, it becomes more challenging. As player number grows, so too does the strength of the enemies. Working together with other players is an essential aspect of survival. 

In addition to its increasing challenge, the update also provides a wide range of difficulty options. This requested feature will now let players choose from four modes. Ranger (Easy), Gunslinger (Normal), Sheriff (Hard) and Outlaw (Very Hard).

Ranger Mode has fewer penalties for failure. Outlaw Mode has death written all over it. This gives players more agency when playing co-op or solo. 

Players who prefer to create their own challenge will find the ‘Custom Difficulty’ interesting. The May 13 update also lets players tweak their experience. They can make enemies stronger and faster, or slower and weaker. This change makes ‘Wizard With A Gun’ accessible to everyone.

Surmount takes players on a perilous ascent up the slopes of Mount Om. There, players will find themselves in a world full of hand-crafted challenges. As well as procedurally generated surprises.

The game also promises to break away from the 'sometimes-punishing' nature of climbing simulators. Surmount, according to its press kit, offers an "approachable physics-based climbing system."

This means players can focus on the joy of the climb itself, in their own pace. The game also gives them enough room to experiment with different techniques and find their own unique style to conquer the mountain.

The journey up Mount Om isn't just about the climb itself. Players will encounter a colorful cast of characters along the way. Each has their own motivations for reaching the summit. These "eccentric folks" add a layer of humor and intrigue to the adventure.

Rocket Rumble breaks out of Early Access as it gears for a release on May 23. The hybrid racing brawler will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam players.

In Rocket Rumble, players race and brawl in a dangerous racetrack. Players must compete to take the lead by using a multitude of powerups. Collecting power-ups provides an advantage in knocking players off the track. 

Achieving first place is not the only way to win in Rocket Rumble. Players can also win by racking up points through their dynamic Points System. This gameplay mechanic encourages unpredictable plays and increases a player's chance of winning. 

One of Rocket Rumble’s interesting gameplay designs is the split-screen support. Every rival will be on screen at once. The twist is that players can use them to their favor.
