1. Immortals Of Aveum

Master the art of blasting foes with magic as a Battlemage in this upcoming fantasy shooter from EA. It’s a story-driven adventure that features epic setpieces and satisfying combat. It’s like Bioshock, but with less guns and more arcane spellcasting. It comes out next month!

2. Destiny 2: The Final Shape

This major expansion to Bungie’s MMO shooter will conclude Destiny 2’s long-running Light and Dark saga. All the stuff that’s leading in Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion will eventually lead to this explosive finale. Expect new guns, raids and a return of fan-favorite characters once it releases sometime this year.

3. ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON

FromSoftware’s next big thing after the success of Elden Ring and Dark Souls. With its detailed customization options and impressive PvP and PvE elements, The Fires Of Rubicon will recalibrate everyone’s interest with the mecha-genre.

4. Baldur's Gate 3

After two decades, Baldur’s Gate gets its much awaited third installment. It’s officially coming out this August, but PC players are already enjoying its Early Access ahead of PS5s release. Despite its major leap in the visual department, Baldur's Gate retains the tried and tested RPG mechanics and well-written branching narrative.

5. Lies Of P

Gone are the wooden dolls and elongated noses. Pinnochio has had enough of Geppeto’s bullshit in this souls-like take on the classic fairy tale. Upon first glance, you can tell Lies Of P borrows familiar mechanics from FromSoft’s Bloodborne. But good thing they made things a bit different with its steampunk designs. A Demo is currently out if you want to try it!

6. Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat returns, but it's getting its second soft reboot. 1 takes the visceral fighting game to a different direction with the introduction of Kameo fighters, where you can tag team with an AI character for that gorey combo finish.

7. PayDay 3

Sep 21, 2023

The heists are back! PayDay 3 is real and it’s coming out this September. The gameplay reveal gave us a glimpse on the enhanced gunplay, improved movement and new weapons. We can’t wait to hear more about this game in the coming weeks.

8. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk may have had its fair share of disastrous moments, but Phantom Liberty will redeem its futuristic open world with improved combat and a bug-free adventure. Costing 30 dollars, this will be their biggest expansion yet. Join Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand once again and uncover a political threat in a whole new location.

9. Assassin's Creed Mirage

9th Century Baghdad awaits you in this latest Assassin’s Creed journey. Mirage aims to improve upon the established AC fundamentals like stealth combat, parkour and story. It’s more simple, with less clutter on screen and the RPG elements are finally removed. If you enjoy the first AC games, this will feel like it’s returning to its roots.

10. Alan Wake II

Remedy Entertainment’s< next Alan Wake chapter goes full survival horror. Following Resident Evil’s footsteps, it features an over the shoulder camera where your movements are more restricted. You’re not just playing as the titular writer anymore, instead, you’ll be swapping between two characters as you progress to its paranormal story.

11. Marvel's Spider-Man 2

The next system-seller for the PlayStation 5. We got a closer look at its gameplay and story and it looks clean. Spider-Man 2 is gonna be great. There’s a lot to unpack on this footage, especially from Kraven’s design, Pete’s symbiote suit, to Miles’ new look. Using the full power of the PS5, switching between Miles and Peter without loading is a Sony flex. We can’t wait to get our hands on it this October.

12. Cities: Skylines II

For a much more casual experience, Cities: Skylines gets its own sequel as well. Packed with new features like improved transportation and better road tools, building your own growing metropolis has never been this fun.

13. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

Kiryu has given up his Yakuza title momentarily to become a master spy. Whack enemies with your fists and use a variety of weird spy tools at your disposal in the most Yakuza way possible. Despite all its seriousness, it’s still a Yakuza game.

14. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

After what seemed like forever, we finally got our first look of Ubisoft’s Avatar game. It’s a first-person shooter a la Far Cry, but taking place in James Cameron’s gorgeous alien world. We’re excited to see what’s more in store for us in Pandora.

15. Ghostrunner 2

2023

There’s more hacking and slashing in this sequel to this futuristic cyber ninja simulator. Ghostrunner 2 isn’t just about rooftops and wall-running anymore. This time around, you have a motorcycle with you so you can blaze through busy highways and do Akira slides if you feel like it.

16. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth

Q1 2024

Cloud and friends are back in this major follow-up to their Remake trilogy. Moving away from Midgar’s straightforward and polluted cityscape, Rebirth takes you to a massive open-world. Now the gang can ride Chocobos, appreciate the view, and fulfill JRPG tropes all in the effort to stop Sephiroth from messing up the timeline.

17. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Q1 2024

Another Yakuza game hits the shelves later next year. Taking place after Yakuza 7, it continues Ichiban Kasuga’s story as he gets caught up in another weird turn of events. This time around, he’s stuck in Hawaii for reasons unknown.

18. Persona 3 Reload

Q1 2024

ATLUS continues to push the success of their Persona titles in this Remake of the PlayStation 2 classic. Reload reimagines the Persona 3 we know and love with better visuals, quality of life changes and a slick UI overhaul. Now it’s up to par with modern Persona titles.

19. Star Wars Outlaws

2024

Outlaws is the first open world Star Wars game. Run away from bounty hunters, fetch a few quests around Tatooine or soar across the Galaxy with your trusty ship. It’s not about Jedi’s or a Sith’s anymore. You’re just a regular Outlaw in search for freedom in a world torn apart by two extremes.

20. Pragmata

no release date

After being stuck in limbo for quite a while, CAPCOM’s Pragmata is officially in development. This sci-fi action game oozes with style; like Death Stranding but with more action and a half-grown partner. We’ve only seen brief footage of its gameplay and we can’t wait to see more of it. Sadly, a release date is still not set in stone.

21. Silent Hill 2 Remake

Konami is also cooking up something for their fans. The first step of many franchise revivals. Silent Hill 2 will get the remake it needs with Bloober Team taking the reins. With their expertise in psychological horror, let’s hope they can pull off the dread and insanity to one of the best horror games ever made.

22. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

No release date yet

Konami isn’t just going full steam ahead with their Silent Hill series, they’re also gearing up for the return of the terrible children. This Remake of the beloved classic will not have Kojima’s name branded on it, but it’s still aiming to capture the soul and detail of its original.

23. Tekken 8

No release date yet

The next battle is just around the corner with Tekken 8. Powered by the Unreal Engine 5, the fights look even better with a new visual overhaul, especially with its remodeled roster of iconic characters. Unfortunately, with all the fighting games scheduled for this year, we won’t be seeing this one anytime soon.

24. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

No release date yet

A new IP from CAPCOM. Path of the Goddess is an action-adventure taking a page from CAPCOM’s very own Okami with its Japanese aesthetics. There’s a lot of mythology-work at play here and it is visually appealing. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the game so far.

25. Hollow Knight: Silksong

No release date yet

Let’s end the list with none other than Hollow Knight: Silksong. I mean, let’s be honest here. Everyone’s waiting for this game to come out. We’re all clowns here, but we can feel it coming. We don’t know when, but maybe late 2023 or early 2024 sounds plausible. Please. Just give us release date.
