It’s been a year since Blizzard gave fans their first preview of Overwatch 2. With BlizzConline 2021 taking place last weekend, we now have a new look at the incoming Overwatch sequel, showcasing new maps, gameplay details, as well as the new designs for returning characters.
Check it out:
The video pretty much covers a lot of the new elements coming to Overwatch 2, including the new Rome and New York maps. We also got to see the new skill trees that will be available for characters, as well as adjustments to current game modes and existing maps.
While the first trailer already showed us some of the character redesigns, the latest presentation gave us the new costume reveals for McCree, Reaper, Widowmaker, and Pharah. We haven’t gotten a look at all the other returning characters, but it seems like everyone from the roster of the first game will be playable—as well as some new characters, one of which is a new character named Sojourn who comes from Canada.
No release date has been announced for Overwatch 2, but the game is expected to become available sometime within the year. In the meantime, you can check out the original Overwatch now available for Xbox One, PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
