Following the release of the Last of Us Part II, people are now looking at the next big game which is Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions. The studio has just dropped a new cinematic trailer for the game, and we have a look at our protagonist Jin.

Here’s also an official description for the game:

Tsushima is on the brink of destruction. In the wake of a crushing defeat at the hands of ruthless Mongol invaders, noble samurai Jin Sakai must sacrifice everything to protect what’s left of his home and people. As he embarks on an epic adventure for the freedom of Tsushima, he must set aside samurai traditions, embrace unconventional methods, and forge a new path—the path of the Ghost.

The new cinematic trailer teases the setting of the game as well as the play-style, with Jin making use of several different gadgets, and of course, his katana.

Because of FromSoftware's SEKIRO: Shadows Die Twice, the Medieval Japan setting has become infamous for Souls-like levels of difficulty. Ghost of Tsushima will hopefully be a lot more friendly for novice fans of the period.

With The Last of Us Part II basically being a divisive release for Naughty Dog, hopefully, Sucker Punch will have a more generally accepted game when this game comes out next month.

Ghost of Tsushima comes out on the PS4 on July 17. For more games, you can check out our updated list of upcoming PlayStation 4 games as well as the complete list of all upcoming PS5 releases.

Return to Medieval Japan next month and walk the path of the Ghost.
