Divine Knockout, touted as gaming's first third-person platform fighter, will hit PC and consoles next month. Red Beard Games and Hi-Rez announced that Divine Knockout would debut on December 6. The 3D multiplayer game will be available for PC, PS5, Series X, PS4, and Xbox One.

They also published an official gameplay preview on YouTube.

The developers have confirmed that Divine Knockout, initialized as DKO , will feature cross-platform play. However, the game's official website states that in order to do so, players must obtain an Edition or access key.

Note that purchasing DKO on one platform will not give you access to play DKO on other platforms, portions of the online FAQ read. You must have access to DKO on a platform (either by purchasing an Edition or getting an access key in a giveaway) to be able to play on that platform, it added.

According to a press release, there will be two Editions for DKO. These are the Founders Edition and the Ultimate Edition.

In DKO, players become mythological gods or goddesses drawn in chibi art style. They must master their characters' abilities to knock out their enemies. They also need to learn how the different arenas work so they can get the upper hand in battle.

DKO is a world of expressive characters and destructible environments, Alexandre Grimonpont, Executive Producer at Red Beard Games, said.

When it comes out, players can jump right into all game modes, including 1v1 and 3v3. These include Knockout, King of the Hill, Coin Blitz, and Oddball.

DKO is currently in closed beta testing. Players, however, can already wishlist the game on Steam, Epic Game Store, and PlayStation. In the meantime, the developers promised an action-packed multiplayer fight where players could use the powers of their chosen god without having to use complicated controls.

DKO is all about timing, positioning, and moment-to-moment choices – not button complexity, said Alex Cantatore, Vice President of Publishing at Red Beard Games.
