Stepping into the colorful world of Foamstars on PS5, I couldn't help but draw comparisons to another beloved title, Splatoon 3. However, while the similarities are unmistakable, Foamstars manages to carve out its own identity, offering a familiar yet refreshing experience.

From the moment I picked up the controller, I was struck by the game's vibrant visuals and whimsical art style. The colorful characters and imaginative environments immediately brought to mind the playful aesthetic of Splatoon, setting the stage for an exciting adventure.

Gameplay-wise, Foamstars delivers fast-paced action and strategic gameplay reminiscent of its ink-spraying counterpart. Engaging in thrilling battles against rival teams, I found myself quickly adapting to the unique mechanics and intuitive controls. Whether I was covering turf with foam or engaging in intense skirmishes, each match offered a satisfying blend of strategy and excitement.

One aspect that particularly stood out to me was the game's emphasis on teamwork and cooperation. Just like in Splatoon, success in Foamstars often hinges on effective communication and coordination with teammates. Working together to control key areas of the map and outmaneuver opponents added an extra layer of depth to the gameplay, enhancing the overall experience.

While Foamstars may bear similarities to Splatoon, it manages to distinguish itself with its own unique charm and gameplay mechanics. Whether you're a fan of competitive shooters or simply looking for a fun and engaging multiplayer experience, Foamstars offers plenty of foam-spraying action to enjoy on the PS5.

A Familiar Yet Refreshing Experience

Foamstars may seems like it starts of weak with only 8 characters and 3 game modes at launch. But Square Enix have promised to support the game, add more characters and more game modes. Each character is unique and unique role in a team. Its more interesting than a "Splatoon like copy.". And its easy to start, play a match and have some fun! The system is easy to understand with 2 abilities and an ultimate attack. The micro transactions are fair as long as you dont want a full set of a skin then its pretty priced, but dont worry. You can buy each piece separate for example $10 for a character skin or $6 for a season pass. The PvE mode is great to practice in characters you havnt played soo much.

A good party shooter!
