If only for the ease of adding bad words alone, PictoParty is entertaining and simple to pick up for anyone with any level of gaming experience. It takes a few minutes to get a ton of people playing, and with the dictionary customization no one will feel like their words are too hard or too boring. Also, it's rather funny to see someone try to draw the simplest thing when the clock's ticking, so if you're looking out for some easy, lighthearted fun, grab PictoParty. It doesn't reinvent the board game it's inspired by, but it does streamline it quite well.

Outside of its smaller missteps, Retroid Interactive has created a multiplayer game that feels made for the Wii U. There is a good variety of words on offer, but the key to keep players is adding your own categories and tailor it constantly to new players. Next to that, it just feels nice to draw on the Wii U GamePad and that makes the party endless!

PictoParty is a fun twist on a classic game, and it certainly could not be done without the GamePad. So should you buy PictoParty? Well, if you want a board game-esque party game for lots of people to play, you can’t do better than PictoParty. You’ll get gameplay that is both fun and funny, with plenty of options to make sure everything goes to plan. For eight bucks, that’s a worthwhile purchase.
