The world is over. But it's not quite over for you... at least, not yet. And now that you've got thousands of tonnes of locomotive at your disposal, you've got the definite advantage over the infected hordes. This is The Final Station. The real question is whether or not you'll help the survivors get to their destinations.... or let them die and loot their bodies. Sometimes people can be more trouble than they're worth.

The Final Station is a tremendous effort which keeps you wondering as you piece together the snippets of story and while the combat and exploration suffices, it doesn’t live up to the narrative the developers deliver. Together, they make for a great experience, with a cryptic flair in the style of Twin Peaks, which leads to a superb set of final moments, leaving you wanting more and delivering with the extra content in the main menu.
This game is a hell of a lot of fun to play. Itâs not overly complicated, but it puts the sense of horror on the screen beautifully. Itâs easy to pick up and gets interesting very quickly. The way the story is told through features of the world is very creative. Those little touches absorb you into the world so completely that your heart rate rises every time those little white eyes loom out of the darkness.
The thing with The Final Station is that it knows what it wants to be. This proud survival game mixes the eerie with action smoothly, and I couldn't help to be impressed. While it is more linear than I would have liked, it delivers on a thrilling experience that I can't get enough of. The pixelated style and its gameplay are some of the smoothest seen on the platform, and it is hard to pull yourself away just a tiny bit. The Final Station is an intriguing journey through and through.
