Get First Look at Splatoon 3 for the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Direct had come with several revealed for games coming out in 2021, but probably one of the biggest announcements was the reveal of Splatoon 3 for 2022. While we only got a very limited look at the game, the teaser does give present a lot for players to be excited about.

Watch this:

Splatoon 3 arrives on Nintendo Switch in 2022! In the wake of chaos, enter the sun scorched Splatlands and the new city, Splatsville, inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings. New weapons, moves, and more await, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates in the future.

While Splatoon 2 looked to be more focused on giving us urban areas to play around, it looks like the third game is going to be embracing the ‘Wasteland’ concept—hence the Splatlands (possibly alluding to Borderlands). Besides the new turf, Splatoon 3 is also going to be presenting players with new weapons like the bow that we see in the trailer.

With Splatoon 2 being one of the best-selling games for the Nintendo Switch when it launched, a lot of people are excited to see what’s in store for the third game. While it does build on the series, hopefully Splatoon 3 will be a great entry point into the franchise for new players as well.
