If you’re looking for an alternative payment to top-up your Steam wallet, GCash offers a straightforward solution for a premium. It’s expensive. A PHP 50 Steam credit costs PHP 60; meanwhile, PHP 1,000 will cost you PHP 1,195. That’s a 20% charge.
I can only guess the reasons why such disparity. It may be the current USD-PHP exchange rate or the provider GCash is using charges a lot. It goes without saying that you should try alternative top-up options before resorting to GCash.
For PlayStation users, we have a separate guide on how to buy PSN Credits using Gcash.
1. Open your GCash app, and tap “View all”.
2. On the list of available services, tap “Non Telco Load” under Pay.
3. Under the "SHOP LIFESTYLE" tab, select your phone number and tap the "Next" button.
By default, your phone number is already selected. If you want to send the load to someone else, you can enter the number in the field.
4. On the next page, go to the "Game Credits" tab.
This will display different supported game services (PSN, Genshin Impact, Garena, Razer). Scroll down this list to the Steam Wallet codes.
5. Select the amount you want to purchase and tap the "Next" button.
6. To complete the purchase, tap the "Pay" button.
This will bring you to the "Success" page.
7. Finally, you will receive a text with the Steam code.
Login to your Steam account and redeem the code.
