The award-winning cyberpunk RPG Gamedec will welcome more players into its virtual worlds. Developers from Anshar Studio and Perp Games announced that they would bring the hit isometric game Gamedec to PlayStation 5 consoles. The two studios have confirmed their partnership to expand the game to other platforms.

Perp Games, the UK-based game publisher, has also set an 'early 2023' release. They also said PS5 players could get ahold of the game's physical and digital copies upon its release.

Executives from Anshar Studio and Perp Games said they are all excited to have more players on Gamedec.

Jakub Kwinta from Anshar Publishing even revealed they had considered porting Gamedec to PS5 in 2020. At that time, Anshar had started developing the game. The partnership with Perp Games allows us to reach out to the new gamers, who will appreciate the extensive branching path the game has, Kwinta said.

Rob Edwards, CEO of Perp Games, also said they were privileged for their collaboration with Anshar Studios for Gamedec's upcoming release on PS5.

Edwards added that Gamedec is close to their hearts as it explores the world of virtual reality. Perp Games has always had Virtual Reality close to our hearts, he described. And this is why Gamedec is such a great game as it explores a futuristic world where people live out second lives in Virtual Reality, Edwards pointed out.

Gamedec was first released for PC in 2021 and on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. It takes players to the virtual worlds of 22nd-century Warsaw, Poland. In it, they become digital detectives tasked with solving crimes.

To set it apart from other titles in the same genre, developers designed the gameplay to adapt and respond to the players' choices.

Gamedec received positive reviews from critics and gamers. It also won several awards, including first place in devcom's Indie Awards 2020.

The game won 1st place in the Best Indie Game 2020 category at Digital Dragons and Best of the Show at Gamescom 2019 by GamersPack.
