<p>Xbox has just concluded their broadcast of the March 6 Partner Preview. This was the second showcase this year and it brought updates and new reveals for 14 games.</p> 

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/the-sinking-city-2/">Sinking City 2</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/creatures-of-ava/">Creatures of Eva</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/frostpunk-2/">Frostpunk 2</a> were among the featured games.</p> 

<p>Aside from previews and announcements for upcoming games, Xbox also revealed the launch of the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R trilogy. It’s available now on Xbox Series X and Xbox One.</p>

<p>Fans of the highly-rated 3D <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/platformer/">platformer</a> can now get their fix on the go with this <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/new/">new Switch release</a>.</p>

<p>Developer Bynine Studio on <strong>Feb. 29</strong> has  released <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/cavern-of-dreams/">Cavern of Dreams</a> on the Nintendo console. This comes four months after its successful debut on the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/cavern-of-dreams/">PC</a> on Oct 19 last year where it received a playscore of 8.7.</p>

<p>In celebration of the recent Switch launch, indie publisher Super Rare Games have posted a few previews of Cavern of Dreams. The most recent trailer showcased the game’s unique visuals, gameplay, and a few of its various lands.</p>

<p>Cavern of Dreams is a loveletter to beloved N64 platformers like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-360/banjo-kazooie-nuts-and-bolts/">Banjo-Kazooie </a>and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/spyro-reignited-trilogy/">Spyro</a>. To complete the N64 atmosphere, the game also has a nostalgic sound track to help players immerse in the world.</p>

<p>It follows a young dragon called Fynn who is on a mission to rescue his kidnapped siblings. As Fynn, players will have to navigate four different lands, each one a different theme and offering new sets of challenges.</p>

<p>The different worlds will also offer new items to collect. Among them, 40 eggs that grant players new abilities.</p>

<p>Stately Snail, together with Ratalaika Games, is releasing the second chapter of their first-person <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/roguelike/">roguelike</a> game on consoles.</p>

<p><a href=:https://whatoplay.com/pc/one-more-dungeon-2/>One More Dungeon 2</a> is hitting the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/one-more-dungeon-2/">PS5</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/one-more-dungeon-2/">PS4</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/one-more-dungeon-2/">Xbox Series X</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/one-more-dungeon-2/">Xbox One</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/one-more-dungeon-2/">Switch</a> with a new set of dungeon adventures on <strong>March 1</strong>.</p> 

<p>Stately Snail describes <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/one-more-dungeon-2/">One More Dungeon 2 </a>as a vastly improved version of their 2015 game.</p>

<p>“This sequel is a completely modern action game with a first-person view and a compelling story, a hub location to explore, boss battles, meta-progression and many new game mechanics and interactive objects.”</p>

<p>One More Dungeon 2 takes players into a new hub world: a fortress filled with puzzles to solves and intelligent snails that push players forward into the dungeons. New challenges await players in every new zone.</p> 

<p>The journey starts in prison cell. The aforementioned intelligent snail leads players to the king who orders you to kill a creature in the depths of the dungeon in exchange for their freedom.</p> 

<p>As a roguelike game, each death brings players back to the hub world, albeit with their levels intact. Each new journey will unlock new portions of the map, and perhaps some shortcuts along the way.</p>

<p>Offering 9 different levels, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/one-more-dungeon-2/">One More Dungeon 2</a> is a short experience with an estimated 5-10 hours of playtime.</p>

One More Dungeon 2 Coming to Consoles on March 1

<p>2 years has passed since Polish developer and publisher Techland came out with the much anticipated <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/open-world/">open-world</a> horror game, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/dying-light-2/">Dying Light 2: Stay Human</a>. To celebrate the game’s 2nd anniversary, Techland rolled out a <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/534380/Dying_Light_2_Stay_Human_Reloaded_Edition/">Steam Free Weekend</a> for their new Reloaded Edition.</p>

<p>The Reloaded Edition has been available for players try since February 22.  It will end on February 26, giving players just one more day to try out the new zombie experience.</p> 

<p>During this, Techland is also offering a 50% discount on Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for PC and consoles.</p> 

<p>Any progress that players make during the Free Weekend will be carried over when they buy the game.</p> 

<p>The Reloaded Edition comes with the Bloody Ties DLC and all of Dying Light 2’s previous updates, including the latest Fire Arms update.</p> 

<p>“The Firearms Update is the biggest one this game has seen so far. The possibility of being able to shoot the enemies has been much-requested by the community and adds a brand new dimension to this beloved zombie game,” Techland said in a press release.</p> 

<p>The update’s new additions include co-op survivor missions and board quests. Techland also added that the update includes ‘enrichments’ to the narrative that come with the return of characters from Dying Light.</p> 

<p>The Firearms Update is free for all owners of the Standard Edition of Dying Light 2 Stay Human.</p> 

<p>The updates and new content for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/dying-light-2/">Dying Light 2 Stay Human</a> is part of Techland’s to support the game with 5 years post-release content. Since its first release, the Polish developer has released a dozen updates, each bringing significant changes to gameplay.</p> 

<p>Just this month, Techland has had a month full of celebrations in a ramp up towards the 2nd anniversary. These include the Year of the Dragon event.</p> 

<p>Until <strong>March 7</strong>, players can still partake in the anniversary festivities such as Special Bounties and other in-game surprises.</p>

One More Day to Try Out Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition

<p>Slow download speeds on your Xbox Series X or S can be frustrating. Unfortunately, it’s a more common problem than you’d think. Here are a few solutions to the problem.</p>

<div class="Step 1" id="step1">
<h2>1. Check the download speed of your network</h2>
</div>

<p>The first thing you need to do is check the state of your whole network. Internet downtimes are unpredictable. On a device connected to the same network, a phone or PC, go to speedtest.net  to check your download speeds. This should give you a general indication of how fast the download and upload speed of your network is.</p>

<p>On your Xbox, go to <strong>Settings > Network Settings</strong>. From there, select <strong>Test network speed & statistics</strong>. This will display your current Download and Upload speeds.</p>

<p>Do you see a significant difference between the speeds on your Xbox and on the test device? If there is, proceed to <a href="#step2" class="link">Step 2</a>. If not, continue to <a href="#step3" class="link">Step 3</a>.</p>

<h2>2. Restart your console</h2>
</div>

<p>Simply hold the Xbox icon on your controller and select Restart console.</p>

<p><em>If your console is connected wirelessly, be sure that it’s not blocked by something that could potentially decrease wireless signal strength such as an aquarium, another device, books, etc.</em></p>

<h2>3. Restart your modem and router</h2>
</div>

<p>When your connection is slow on your whole network, restarting your modem and router can help refresh your internet speed. I usually restart my network with the following steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
   <li>Turn off both modem and router.</li>
   <li>Wait for 1 minute and turn on your modem.</li>
   <li>Wait for 1 minute and turn on your router.</li>
</ol>

<p><em>Note: Some modem and routers don’t have an ON-OFF button. In such cases, unplug and plug them back in to restart. Otherwise, check the device's manual for better guidance.</em></p>

<h2>4. Use an ethernet cable</h2>
</div>

<p>Wired connections are generally faster and more stable than wireless ones. Connect your Xbox using an ethernet cable. The ethernet port is located at the back of your console.</p>

<h2>5. Disconnect other devices from your network</h2>
</div>

<p>A congested network will cause slower download speeds. A few of the devices connected to your network may be hogging most of the bandwidth. This leaves your Xbox with little allocation leading to slower downloads.</p>

<p>The fastest way to test this is to disconnect the other devices while you’re downloading a game.</p> 

<p>For more advanced users, you might want to consider tinkering with the QoS (Quality of Service) settings on your router. This allows you to prioritize which device or traffic your network should prioritize. Just a warning, not all routers support QoS.</p>

<h2>6. Close any running games</h2>
</div>

<p>Running other games on your console may take up some bandwidth. Press the Xbox Icon on your controller. Underneath <strong>Home</strong> and <strong>My games & apps</strong>, there is a list of games and apps.  Navigate to the other games on your console, and select Quit.</p>

<h2>7. Change DNS Server</h2>
</div>

<p>There are cases where the issue is with your internet provider. DNS server values are automatically assigned to you by your provider. However, some DNS servers can be slow or unresponsive. Changing your console's DNS settings might help.</p> 

<p>To change the values on your console, you need to set your DNS settings to manual. You can do this by going to <strong>Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings.</strong> Then, set it to <strong>“Manual”</strong>.</p>

<p>Primary DNS server: 1.1.1.1</p>
<p>Secondary DNS server: 1.0.0.1</p></li>

<h2>Other steps you can take to fix slow download speeds on your Xbox</h2>

<li><p><strong>Make sure that your console is up-to-date.</strong></p>
<p>There may be important network-related fixes and optimizations in the latest updates. To check, Go to <strong>Settings > System > Updates</strong>. If one is available, It’s best to download and install it first before downloading a game.</p>

<p><strong>Reset your Series X|S to factory default</strong></p>

<p>If your console’s download speed has not improved and all other devices in that
same network downloads just fine, this means that there’s a problem with your
console.</p>

<p>Resetting it back to factory default might help. To do this, go to <strong>Settings > System >
Console info > Reset Console.</strong></p>
   
To keep all your games and apps, make sure to select <strong>“Reset and Keep My Games & Apps”</strong> option.

Slow Download Speeds on Your Xbox Series X? Here's a Step by Step Guide!

<p>Independent studio Hugecalf Studios announced that it’s set to launch launch <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/turbo-golf-racing/">Turbo Golf Racing</a> out of Early Access in the second quarter this year (Q2 2024). </p>

<p>The studio will roll out the golf racer on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/turbo-golf-racing/">PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/turbo-golf-racing/">Xbox One</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/turbo-golf-racing/">Xbox Series X</a>, and <strong>PS5</strong>.</p>

<p>Like Rocket League, Turbo Golf Racing challenges players to use cars to push around an oversized ball. Instead of goal posts, players will have to drive golf balls into a hole in the middle of a vast golf course.</p>

<p>Alongside the announcement, Hugecalf also hinted at an upcoming tournament that players can join to win a cash prize. The tournament will be held on the release date of Turbo Golf Racing. </p>

<p>The game is out on Early Access on PC and Xbox consoles with mixed reviews. A few players complaints have been about Turbo Golf Racing’s lack of co-op and low player base.</p>

Turbo Golf Racing  Coming Out of Early Access Later This Year

<p>NACON and Eko Software introduces players to the world of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/welcome-to-paradize/">Welcome to ParadiZe</a>. The new 60-second trailer showcases the combat, crafting, and Zombots of the upcoming <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/open-world/">open-world</a> Action RPG.</p>

<p>With the trailer, Nacon invites players to try out the game through the playable demo currently available on <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/1519090/Welcome_to_ParadiZe/">Steam</a>. The demo is part of the Steam Next Fest which will be held until February 12.</p>

<p>While these aren’t the latest games in the series, Sword and Shield sticks to the series’ traditional formula. It’s not <p>open-world</p>. But you do get to battle, collect, and breed Pokemon, with loads of exciting new features. The Wild Area even offers a taste of open-world, letting you roam freely around an ever-changing landscape in search of wild Pokemon.</p>

<p>Watching Pokemon go through their Dynamax and Gigantamax transformations could either be overwhelming for your kids OR the highlight of the whole game. PEGI recommends this game for ages 7 and up.</p>

<p>For kids with a love for open exploration, Pokemon Legends is a great choice.</p> 

<p>Arceus is Pokemon’s first truly <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/open-world/">open-world</a> title. Sent back in time to the Hisui region, the Pokemon in Arceus run wild. You can observe them from afar, battle them, or they can attack you.</p>

<p>3 of Nintendo’s classic Mario titles rolled into one. It includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Sunshine. For those who grew up on these games, this is the perfect package. It’s three times the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/platformer/">platforming</a> fun as you guide Mario through castle after castle to save Princess Peach.</p>

<p>None of the games have been remade. They’re still practically the same games you used to play, with slightly upscaled graphics and adjusted controls to fit the modern Switch configurations. That said, it might be an imperfect experience. Then again, if you loved them as a kid, you or your kids will probably love it all the same.</p>

Thankfully, the new character, Funky Kong, and his special game mode make almost everything a piece of cake. He can double jump, hover, surf on spikes, and roll through enemies with ease.  This makes the 2-player <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/coop/">co-op</a> experience so much more smooth when playing with kids, or adults with underdeveloped reflexes.</p> 

<p>Of course, Tropical Freeze still comes with the harder classic modes. So if you ever feel like leveling up the challenge, you won’t be missing out.</p>  

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/super-mario-rpg/">Super Mario RPG</a></h2>

<p>Mario has saved Princess Peach from harm in a lot of forms. This <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/turn-based-rpg/">turn-based RPG</a> is one of his most memorable.</p> 

<p>A revival of the SNES game from 1996, Super Mario RPG might’ve gotten a whole new coat of paint, it still has the same hilarious moments and exciting action.</p>

<p>With its frenetic boss battles, the ESRB recommends this game for ages 10 and up. Guide your kids through Kirby’s Rolodex of powers and turn every new challenge into a bonding experience.</p>  

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/luigis-mansion-3/">Luigi’s Mansion 3</a></h2>

<p>Every kid thinks they’re strong enough for a Haunted House…until they’re not. Test out their mettle in the latest Luigi’s Mansion, where they have to explore a hotel invaded by pesky ghosts. The ghosts are a little more naughty than scary, and  Luigi’s new Poltergust can take care of most of them. For the rest, there’s Gooigi who can help you out through puzzles and makes for a great co-op partner.</p>

<p>The ghost-busting can also be a party activity with the ScareScraper mode. Work together to clear out ghosts and save the missing toads.</p>

<p>No party is complete without the restaurant frenzy of Overcooked. All You Can Eat is the complete multicourse meal, with Overcooked 1 and 2 plus all the DLCs between them. In Overcooked, you play a group of chefs going through all sorts of kitchen hell to bring out orders in time. As a co-op game, teamwork is essential. You’re going to need a lot of it to get through all the tricky levels.</p> 

<p>Thanks to the DLCs, there are a lot more quirky chef costumes to choose from. All You Can Eat also has online multiplayer that only allows preset interactions. So you don’t have to worry about foul language.</p> 

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/super-mario-maker-2/">Super Mario Maker 2</a></h2>

<p>For a creative child, sometimes playing through levels isn’t enough; they have to build it themselves. Super Mario Maker makes that possible. The choices for building are almost endless, with enemies and blocks spanning from Mario’s 8-bit days to his present 3D form.</p> 

<p>The Story mode already has over 100 courses built-in. So even when you’re not building, there’s always something to do. Add Switch Online to the equation and you get a whole lot more. Top 15 Switch Games for Kids [2024 Update]

<p>Fans of the cozy <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/open-world/">open world</a> of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/slime-rancher/">Slime Rancher</a> will be pleased to know that they can add their personal touches in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/slime-rancher-2/">Slime Rancher 2</a>.</p>

<p>In a new trailer, creators Monomi Park unveiled all the new features  that comes with the <strong>Gadgets My Way</strong> content update. One of the new features allows players to rebuild and redecorate their slime ranch using an array of new gadgets.</p>

<p>The update will come free for owners of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/slime-rancher-2/">Slime Rancher 2</a>.</p> 

<p>On top of the new gadgets, the Gadgets My Way Content Update will also enhance the building experience. New changes include new user interface updates, HUD notifications, and optimized game performance.</p>

<p>A total of 36 gadgets will be added in the content update.</p> 

<p>Slime Rancher 2 is a sequel to the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/indie/">indie</a> hit Slime Rancher where players take the role of a young slime rancher, Beatrix LeBeau. Far from Earth, players must create a slime ranch from scratch and amass a growing number of slimes.</p>

New gadgets and new interactions coming in the update

Slime Rancher 2: Unleash your creativity with 'Gadgets My Way' Update

<p>After the success of games like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/immortality/">Immportality</a>, more full-motion video (FMV) games are being released. And this latest one lets players dive into the inner workings of a group of troubled New Yorkers in the late 1980s.</p>

<p>Developers from Burgeon and Flourish will roll out its newest project, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/of-two-minds/">Of Two Minds</a>. The free association game will land on iOS devices this <strong>February 5</strong>. It will carry a price tag of <strong>US$2.99</strong>.</p> 

<p>The FMV game features footage shot in 1989 by award-winning film director Michael Bergmann.</p>

<p>Set in 1980s New York, it puts players in the shoes of a psychoanalyst who will get to listen and analyze the thoughts and memories of various characters. From a couple having an affair to spouses and their own analysts.</p>

<p><strong>Of Two Minds</strong>’ gameplay also follows a non-linear narrative. This means players can unlock new content and storylines by connecting themes and ideas that emerge in each video. In addition, they can discover more secrets, obsessions, histories of each character, and their psychological motivations.</p>

<p>The game is the result of a 35-year-long project, Burgeon and Flourish wrote in a statement. It began when Bergmann filmed more than three hours of a fictional story about the intense relationship between two psychoanalysts. He later teamed up with game designer and composer Lucas Tahiruzzaman Syed to develop it into a nonlinear narrative game.</p>

<p>Bergmann’s goal was to preserve and popularize some of the most exciting ideas of psychoanalysis, according to developers. The director believed he could transform a human life but is in danger of being forgotten, they added.
 Burgeon and Flourish first unveiled Of Two Minds in 2023.</p> 

<p>Meanwhile, the publishers have also released a trailer of the game on YouTube, which interested players can check out below.</p>
