Alien: Isolation Is Now Available On The Nintendo Switch! 

<p>Just before Dragon Quest Builders 2 makes its debut on the PC, Square Enix treats Steam users with a JUMBO sized demo of this sequel to the acclaimed sandbox title. This JUMBO demo will be offered completely free and will give Steam players a small taste of all the possibilities that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will offer.</p> 
<p>Here's a preview provided by Square Enix themselves:</p>

<div class="direct-quote">In the JUMBO DEMO, players can embark on a journey to become a “Master Builder” by playing through the first three areas that include: the tutorial area, the deserted Isle of Awakening, along with a large portion of the Furrowfield island.</div>

<p>From the looks of things, it does look like it's going to be a massive experience. Aside from the tutorial area, it consists of snippets of the very tropical Isle of Awakening as well as the agricultural acres of Furrowland.</p> 

<p>If you enjoyed the demo and think about continuing your building journey, Square Enix will let you import your experience into your full retail version of Dragon Quest Builders 2.</p>

<p>Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be a standalone experience and it's set to release on the PC on December 10.</p>

<p>The Life Is Strange series is a cinematic narrative adventure that depends on player choices. What happens in the game is left for the player to decide, ultimately affecting the Season Finale’s ending. </p>

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/apex-legends/">Apex Legends</a></h2>

	<p>The Battle Royale craze somehow went stale the moment Apex Legends dropped. This spin-off of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/respawn-entertainment/">Respawn</a>’s award-winning <Titanfall series takes you to a futuristic battlefield with your team of three ‘skilled’ heroes.</p> 

<p>Be the last team standing and put your skills and reflexes to the test in its fast-paced first-person, hero-shooting experience. Choose from its 11 unique Legends and use the massive map as your playground. Each Legend offers their own set of abilities, letting you turn the tide of every firefight.</p> 

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/gamespot/">GameSpot</a> mentioned in their review that, “Apex Legends is a mix of smart shooter ideas that makes for a competitive, team-based game…”</p>  

<p>It combines all the best parts of Titanfall while injecting it with Battle Royale’s frenetic moment to moment action. Its major gripes, however, is that it’s an EA title with a buttload of microtransactions. As a free game, it is expected, but knowing EA’s business model, it might be a bigger problem in the long run.</p> 

<p>Nevertheless, Apex Legends excels as a good first person shooter and a battle royale with a playscore of 7.89</p> 



<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/paladins/">Paladins</a></h2>

	<p>The age of hero-shooters began when <a href="">Blizzard</a>’s <a href="">Overwatch</a> came out way back in 2016. From then on, the market continues to push the trend even further resulting to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/hi-rez-studios/">Hi-Rez</a> making their own hero-shooter FPS, Paladins. It finally came out of Open Beta after 2 years.</a> 

<p>Despite the oversaturated shooter genre, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/ign/">IGN</a>  gave it an 8.4, saying that, “Even after over 300 hours of exhilarating battles and strategic planning, champions continue to find a way to offer new gameplay experiences.”</p> 

<p>At first, it had a lot of controversy due to it being an ‘Overwatch clone’ but over the years it gained its own identity with more heroes and diverse multiplayer modes.</p> 

<p>On the surface, Paladins is a hero-shooter but within its layers lies a in-depth deckbuilding system where you customize your Champions’ abilities. You can choose what skills well-suited for your playstyle, providing a fun yet complex gameplay mix. It receives a playscore of 8.03</p> 



<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/sairento-vr/">Sairento VR</a></h2> 

<p>VR still has a long way to go, but this mission-driven action role-playing game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/mixed-realms-pte-ltd/">Mixed Realms</a> is a step in the right direction. In Sairento, assume control of a ruthless assassin trained by a cover organization. If SUPERHOT had a sequel, this could pass as one. Albeit without the time-bending abilities.</p> 

<p>As a Virtual Reality title with first person shooter elements, showcase your gunplay and sword fighting abilities with its arsenal of futuristic weaponry using your supported VR controllers. Every engagement feels like walking on thin ice. Go guns blazing or use a variety of stealth mechanics to gain the upper hand and take enemies down one by one.</p> 

<p>Its impressive visual design and atmosphere coincides with its already satisfying combat, paving a new way for the future of VR. It has a playscore of 8.07</p>



<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/borderlands-game-of-the-year-edition/">Borderlands: Game Of The Year Edition</a></h2>

	<p>The third installment may be out, but nothing can top the previous two installments that made the series what it was. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/gearbox-software/">Gearbox</a>’s ‘crazy’ interplanetary looter-shooter came with a few refinements to the experience, from navigation to inventory.</p> 

<p>This Game of the Year Edition not only comes with gameplay upgrades, but these are all topped off with a big 4K finish that dusts off their nostalgic cel-shaded look and ushers us back into the rough Pandoran paradise. </p>

<p>It was hailed as one of the greatest shooters of all time. Gaming Bolt’s Ravi Sinha gave it an 8 out of 10, saying that “... it is more than a blast from the past - it's a compelling game in its own right.” </p>

<p>It receives a playscore of 8.08</p> 



<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/project-warlock/">Project Warlock</a></h2>

	<p>A retro first-person shooter about one man and his guns. An ode to B-Side shooters like <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/doom/">Doom</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/hexen-beyond-heretic/">Hexen</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/wolfenstein/">Wolfenstein</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/buckshot-software/">Buckshot Software</a>’s bullet-hell mayhem takes you through 60 levels of non-stop action.  Your mission? Eradicate evil in a never-ending maze packed with bloodthirsty enemies determined to kill you every second.</a> 

<p>It’s the ultimate throwback for fans of these classic retro-shooters. According to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/destructoid/">Destructoid</a>, who gave it an 8 out of 10, “If your trigger finger is itching, buy Project Warlock to scratch that itch. You won’t be disappointed.”</p>

<p>And in this day and age, there’s no shortage of videogames backed by fans. It was initially a Kickstarter project and a passion-project. This title made its way to GOG as a timed exclusive and from then on, it became a major hit. It has a playscore of 8.13 </p>



<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/blood-fresh-supplytm/">Blood: Fresh Supply™</a></h2>

	<p>Speaking of classic shooters, Blood was part of the legion of clones of the classic B-Side shooters alongside Doom and Wolfenstein. This revival of the 90's cult-favorite remains dark, spooky, and edgy.</p> 

<p>As a remastered version, it amps up the ante of the original as you battle through an army of sycophantic cultists, zombies, hellhounds, and other freaks of nature. The gameplay is similar to the aforementioned shooters, where you as a protagonist make your way through endless hallways battling out enemies and unlocking weapons.</p> 

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/techraptor/">Techraptor</a> gave it an 8 out of 10. Praising the entirety of its rework. Saying that “Blood is a classic FPS game. Its level design, animation, movement, arsenal of weapons, and monsters are as delectable today as they were in 1997.”</p> 

<p>Like the classics, this game is ‘bloody’ difficult, but it's what made these titles shine. It receives a playscore of 8.26 </p>



<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/overload/">Overload</a></h2> 

	<p>PC is a hotbed for all kinds of shooters. If there are Battle Royales like Apex Legends and B-Shooters like Project Warlock and Blood, there’s also 6 Degrees of Freedom-Shooters like this.</p> 

<p>Dubbed as the ‘spiritual successor’ of the popular 90’s gem, Descent, this brand new game feels like a revival of the age-old title. Genres like this are unlike most of the shooters that came out in the 90s. It’s non-static and it enables you to move in any direction while you battle a horde of machines in its endless hallways.</p> 

<p>It’s like a breath of fresh air amidst PC’s overbearing collection of first-person shooters. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/game-reactor/">Game Reactor</a> gave it an 8 out of 10. Impressed by the Developer, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/revival-productions/">Revival Productions</a>, for sticking true to its inspirations, saying that it’s “...done a decent job of marrying reverent design with a dash of much-needed modernity.”</p>

<p>It receives a playscore of 8.37</p> 



<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/ion-fury/">Ion Fury</a></h2> 

	<p>Speaking of ‘spiritual successors’, let’s not forget about 2019’s version of Duke Nukem. As a ‘bomb disposal expert’, lead Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison in a quest to stop a sociopathic transhumanist cult leader.</p> 

<p>IGN gave the game a score of 7.5 out of 10, saying it is an “...authentic throwback to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/duke-nukem-3d-20th-anniversary-world-tour/">Duke Nukem 3D</a> that certainly hails to the king but can't quite dethrone him.”</p> 

<p>Although there’s no denying the original is always better, what Ion Fury did was re-introducing this kind of genre to the modern audience. If you’re looking for an oddly specific title with pop-culture references from Terminator, Tron, and Duke Nukem itself, this game is for you. It receives a playscore of an 8.52</p>  



<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/metro-exodus/">Metro Exodus</a></h2>

	<p>The latest of the Metro series continues to take you to the heart of post-apocalyptic Russia. In this third installment to the first-person survival-shooter from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/4a-games/">4A Games</a>, you are no longer limited to the confines of the underground Metro, travel around the irradiated Russia with your steam-powered train and find a new hope for the future of humanity.</p> 

<p>Artyom remains as the protagonist and his quest to rebuild civilization is as difficult as ever. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/critics/games-radar/">Games Radar</a>’s Austin Wood gave it a 4.5 out of 5. Calling it as ‘’the best Metro game yet…’’</p>

<p>As an Epic Exclusive, the game was lauded for its immersive atmosphere and detailed environments. It is a huge leap to the ‘semi-open world’ element makes it a potential Fallout killer. A playscore of 8.58 </p>



<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dusk/">DUSK</a></h2>

	<p>We go back once again to the age of 90’s shooters. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/david-szymanski/">David Szymanski</a> retro-FPS easily dethrones the rest of these titles. DUSK borrows elements from iconic contemporary 3D shooters and refines the age-old genre with their own style and form. Set in a ‘Lovecraftian’ world where you fend off an army of backwater cultists and demons, discover what lurks beneath the Earth.</p> 

<p>PC Gamer praised the level design of Dusk, stating that the game "is both an ode to and evolution of the greatest era of FPS level design." on which they gave it an 8.90 out of 10. Not only does this game offer a fantastic single-player experience, but its multiplayer mode is also akin to <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/quake/">Quake</a>. Although it’s not its best feature, it remains a fun addition for fans looking for some replay value.</p> 

<p>It’s the ideal PC first-person shooter that doesn’t just pay homage to the retro-FPS days but stands on its own as a fantastic modern classic. A playscore of 9.13</p>

Take on quests with branching paths that could potentially change the course of your gameplay and ending.</a> 

<p>2077 boasts a stellar world to explore with insane verticality, letting you get inside buildings with ease in its populated semi-dystopian areas. We’ll see where this damned future will take us once it comes out this April 16, 2020 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.</p>

	<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/techland/">Techland</a>’s open-world zombie game is packing some huge upgrades in this sequel. After taking their time adding enough content in the original, it’s about time they move on to this brand new adventure.</a> 

<p>It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus, play as a young survivor who adapted to the infection. Use his newfound abilities to take advantage of the massive horde of undead. In this upcoming fresh title, emphasis on parkour is still important. Traversal remains satisfying as you jump, slide, and run from one place to another. In addition, its first person gameplay is more refined and brutal, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/dying-light/">unlike the original</a>.</p> 

<p>In this sequel, not only you will be pitted against an even dangerous world, your choices will matter. Make decisions or sacrifices that will impact the game’s story. It’s coming this Spring 2020 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.</p>

	<p>The future is also grim in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ubisoft/">Ubisoft</a>’s upcoming open-world title. Acting as a commentary on modern-day politics, this upcoming sequel breaks boundaries by telling a story where every single person can take part in the burgeoning revolution.</a> 

	<p>There is no ‘one’ playable character here. Each member of the Legion is equipped with their own traits and skill sets--whether its an ex spy, a retired boxer, or grandma as a retired-assassin. The perma-death aspect of your recruits also adds another layer of interest, as it might challenge you to take on a more careful, non-lethal approach to espionage.</p> 

<p>It all sounds great on paper but we're yet to see how it all unfolds. Unfortunately, all of Ubisoft's biggest titles will be facing delays so we might have to wait till the second half of 2020 before we can hack the planet.</p> 



<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/gods-monsters/">Gods & Monsters on PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/gods-monsters/">PlayStation 4</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/gods-monsters/">Switch</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/gods-monsters/">Xbox One</a></h2>

	<p>Imagine the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but set in a fictional Ancient Greece. This is what Gods & Monsters is all about. It goes without saying that this was created by the same team that made <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/assassins-creed-odyssey/">Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey</a>. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic Ancient Greece where the entire pantheon of the gods was eliminated by the destructive Titan, Typhon.</a> 

<p>We didn't really get to know too much about it in their trailer. All we saw was a brave young boy trying to act cool and all. What we do know is that it’s an open-world game where you traverse huge plains and slay monsters. We’ll find out more about this once it comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 



<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/elden-ring/">Elden Ring on PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/elden-ring/">PlayStation 4</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/elden-ring/">Xbox One</a></h2>

	<p>Ohhh, Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s upcoming IP is no longer about ancient Japan and eerie Gothic settings. Game of Thrones’ writer George R R Martin teams up with <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/fromsoftware/">FromSoftware</a> to recreate Dark Souls storytelling and gameplay with the characteristics of Martin’s Dark Fantasy genre.</a> 

<p>According to reports, Elden Ring will let you play a customizable character with no defined personality. It's up to players to flesh out their history as well as the world's. It’s gonna be FromSoftware’s biggest title yet.</p> 

<p>There’s still no news about its open-world element, but if we were to speculate, it might follow their previous title’s interconnected maps. As it’s still in its early development stage, no release date has been announced.</p> 



<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/ghost-of-tsushima/">Ghost Of Tsushima</a></h2>

	<p>Sony’s mysterious single-player exclusive is still in development, alright. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/sucker-punch-productions/">Sucker Punch</a>’s Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world adventure that put us into the shoes of the Last Samurai desperately fighting against the Mongol invasion in the year 1274.</a> 

<p>During its reveal presentation, the game’s atmosphere and combat is interesting enough. As a Samurai, your Katana is an extension of yourself and it is satisfying. You can even use a grappling hook and travel from place to place with ease. Its focus on stealth is reminiscent of the good ol’ days of Tenchu.</p> 

<p>The game is still in development but ever since its E3 2018 gameplay trailer, the hype becomes increasingly huge but sadly we don’t know much about the game as of yet. Let’s hope for a 2020 release.</p>



<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-elder-scrolls-vi/">The Elder Scrolls VI on PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-elder-scrolls-vi/">PlayStation 4</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/the-elder-scrolls-vi/">Xbox One</a></h2>

	<p>Ah, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bethesda-game-studios/">Bethesda</a>. They may have suffered enough PR blunder recently but there’s no denying its next major Elder Scrolls title is most anticipated. Let's hope they learn their lessons and have the awareness to listen to player feedback. Sadly, there’s nothing to talk about this game as of the moment since we only had a ‘title reveal’ last year. Todd Howard, please, don’t mess this game up.</a> 

<p>The only thing we know so far is that the popular Skyrim Grandma makes a cameo appearance as an NPC. As for release date, we might need to wait a bit more since the game is reportedly coming out after its sci-fi epic, Starfield.</p> 



<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/starfield/">Starfield on PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/starfield/">PlayStation 4</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/starfield/">Xbox One</a></h2>

	<p>Before we get our hands on that elusive Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda’s most-anticipated sci-fi open-world RPG, Starfield, is coming out first. Rumor has it it’s coming out for Microsoft’s upcoming Project Scarlett and PlayStation 5.</p> 

<p>The game is still in development so we have no idea what’s it all about. Some say it takes the open-world freedom of Skyrim but it’s set in Space. It could be a potential game changer if Bethesda doesn’t alienate their fanbase before its release.</p> 

<p>All we could do right now is to speculate about its story and gameplay. Well, if you’re itching to play a space-opera game like Fallout, try The Outer Worlds for now. ;) </p>



<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-2/">The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Untitled Sequel)</a></h2>

	<p>This cult classic from 9 years ago makes a return. Set in a universe of anthropomorphic animals and ragtag space piracy, Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be a prequel to the 2003 original. Become one of the leading space pirates and go on a quest to find a fellow space pirate in search of a sacred relic.</p>

<p>The game is a balance of land and air combat. As a Space Pirate, explore planets by going solo, or with a friend in its co-op mode with its third-person adventure, OR you could Fly around the galaxy using your spaceship or use your jetpack to take out aerial enemies.</p>

<p>Ultimately, your goal is to become the best space pirate in the galaxy. However, you might have to wait a bit longer for that elusive release date.</p>

	<p>Seiken Densetsu 3 is coming out to the Western Shores and the Switch for the first time.</p> 

<p>This is a remake of the 1995 classic JRPG that first released on the Super Famicom. It’s been rebuilt from the ground up to give it a full 3D makeover. The story is unchanged, but experiencing it again or for the first time with enhanced sound, visuals and combat makes everything worthwhile. Coming this April 24, 2020.</p> 

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/persona-5-scramble-the-phantom-strikers/">Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers</a></h2>

	<p>It’s unfortunate that this is the only Persona title coming to the Switch. Either way, better this than nothing.</p>

<p>Scramble is different. It takes you to the lives of the Phantom Thieves once again but instead of raiding palaces and stealing people’s hearts, it’s a Musou title where you hack and slash enemy Shadows in Tokyo.</p>

This brand new Minecraft title says goodbye to its sandbox adventure as it introduces a whole new action-adventure experience that takes its inspiration from notable dungeon-crawling RPGs like Diablo and Divinity.</p> 

<p>Played in an isometric perspective, personalize your character and ready yourself as you dive into a treacherous dungeon filled with monsters you’ve come to expect and more in a Minecraft game. It comes out sometime this second quarter of 2020.</p> 

<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/spongebob-squarepants-battle-for-bikini-bottom-rehydrated/">SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated</a></h2>

	<p>Remember that classic PlayStation 2 SpongeBob game? Well, it’s coming back and it’s ‘Rehydrated’. Step into the shoes of these iconic Bikini Bottom buddies as they gear up and defeat Plankton’s robotic army. This Remake by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/purple-lamp-studios/">Purple Lamp Studios</a> features improved visuals and sound which results to a completely refreshing experience.</p>  

<p>For those who missed out on this classic, it’s the perfect time to dive right in. It’s scheduled for a 2020 release.</p>

	<p>Looks like Musou titles are making a comeback. Return to the high seas in Koei Tecmo’s Warriors-like One Piece experience. Similar to Pirate Warriors, control numerous One Piece characters including Luffy, Zorro, and more as they repel a massive horde of enemies in satisfying hack and slash combat.</p>

<p>Given the short reveal trailer, we know little about the game’s new content and mechanics. However, one thing we know is that it covers notable arcs from the One Piece anime instead of telling an original story. It comes out this sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/fairy-tail/">Fairy Tail</a></h2> 

	<p>At this point, every Anime title with a game is gonna flock over to the Nintendo Switch. This JRPG adventure is imbued with the enchanting story and characters from Hiro Mashima’s opus.</p> 

<p>Meet the iconic faces of the Fairy Tail mage guild. Take on quests and venture into Fiore’s magical lands. If you take a closer look in the gameplay, it kinda resembles Persona 5’s turn-based aesthetic.</p> 

<p>The game is still in development but it’s coming out sometime this 2020!</p> 

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/my-hero-ones-justice-2/">My Hero One’s Justice 2</a></h2>

	<p>There’s just so many Anime titles on the Switch! Based on the hit anime series, play all your favorite heroes and villains in this sequel to the 3D arena-fighter.</p> 

<p>Just like their Naruto games, this one is no different. See what happens to Deku in its story-mode. Play through the anime and experience memorable fights and relive the iconic scenes. With 40 playable characters at your disposal, create your own dream team as the series comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/xenoblade-chronicles-definitive-edition/">Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition</a></h2>	

	<p>One of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/monolith-software/">MonolithSoft</a>’s acclaimed series that made its way to Super Smash Bros. In this Remake of 2012’s Wii classic, return to the adventures of Shulk in this gorgeous time-bending fantasy sci-fi title. It’s finally getting the improvement it deserves and its gearing for release to the Switch next year.</p> 

<p>As an open-world JRPG, explore the Gaur Plains in HD and relive the best moments of this fascinating game in refined sound and visual design. No release date yet but possibly this 2020.</p> 

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/xiii/">XIII</a></h2>

	<p>A first-person shooter with a huge element of comic book artistry, there's nothing like XIII. Amassing a cult following since its release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2003, XIII is staging its comeback, refreshed and renewed for the modern consoles. It didn’t quite receive good reviews when it initially came out, but let’s hope this Remake fixes its issues.</p> 

<p>As their trailer suggests, XIII is still gonna be loaded with style and we’re looking forward to seeing it once it arrives sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/rogue-company/">Rogue Company</a></h2> 

	<p>It’s great to see first-person shooters dropping to the Switch. This is Ubisoft’s multiplayer-shooter where you group up with friends and dominate the competition as members of an Elite Mercenary team.</p> 

<p>As a multiplatform title, engage in guns-blazing online sessions with other players in various platforms with its crossplay and cross-progression feature. There’s so much potential here and we can’t wait to find out more about this game once it comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 


<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/cris-tales">Cris Tales</a></h2> 

	<p>There is something refreshing about this vibrant indie game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/dreams-uncorporated/">Dreams Uncorporated</a>. Dubbed as a Love-Letter to the classic JRPG titles like Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, and even Valkyrie Profile, this time-warping adventure takes us into the life of Crisbell as she stops a powerful Time Empress from messing up the future.</p> 

<p>It doesn’t feel like an indie game at all, especially with its solid hand-drawn art style and a fascinating world to explore. Master turn-based combat as you use the power of time to warp them to the past, present and even future. You can look out for out sometime in 2020.</p>

<h2>16. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/gods-monsters/">Gods & Monsters</a></h2>

	<p>Imagine the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but set in a fictional Ancient Greece. This is what Gods & Monsters is all about. It goes without saying that this was created by the same team that made <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/assassins-creed-odyssey/">Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey</a>.</p> 

<p>We didn't really get to know too much about it in their trailer. What we do know is that it’s an open-world game where you traverse huge plains and slay monsters. It’s coming out sometime this second half of 2020.</p>

<h2>17. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/little-nightmares-ii/">Little Nightmares II</a></h2>

	<p>Return to the Maw in this otherworldly adventure game from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tarsier-studios/">Tarsier Studios</a>. This sequel enhances the horror experience with deep puzzle elements. In this second chapter, the iconic girl with the yellow raincoat makes a return but she no longer remains playable.</p> 

<p>The game’s main character centers around Mono, which was a protagonist from the previous title. This sequel will further explore the harrowing atmosphere of The Maw and what lies beyond this demented dimension. It’s coming sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>18. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/hollow-knight-silksong/">Hollow Knight: Silksong </a></h2>

	<p>If you think you’ve had enough of Hollow Knight, another installment from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/team-cherry/">Team Cherry</a> comes out ready to push you to the limit. This sequel isn’t all about our little hero with a Nail. Take on Hornet’s shoes and explore a new Kingdom ruled by silk and song.</p> 

<p>With Hornet’s abilities, engage in lethal acrobatic action as she uses her signature Needle to take down foes. It remains as punishing as ever for players who don’t play enough Dark Souls. This next chapter is coming sometime this 2020.</p>

<h2>19. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/metroid-prime-4/">Metroid Prime 4</a></h2>

	<p>One of Nintendo Switch’s most anticipated exclusives. Announced during E3 2017, the game was nowhere to be found only until this year.</p> 

<p>So far, it’s still under development but fans are already hyped up considering it’s gonna be a new Metroid title after a long, long while. Everything is pure speculation yet but let’s hope we see this game drop next year.</p> 

<h2>20. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/the-outer-worlds/">The Outer Worlds</a></h2> 

	<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fallout-new-vegas/">Fallout: New Vegas</a> in SPACE. This brand new title from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/obsidian/">Obsidian Entertainment</a> is the perfect substitute for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bethesda-game-studios/">Bethesda</a>’s underperforming <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fallout-76/">Fallout 76</a>. It’s already out on major consoles and the PC, but the Switch gets to experience this last, unfortunately.</p> 

<p>Explore the Halcyon System taken over by Capitalism. Space is just another place to capitalize on money. Take on quests with branching decisions and embark on a grand adventure across other planets with a group of memorable characters. It’s coming out next year.</p> 

<h2>21. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/bayonetta-3/">Bayonetta 3</a></h2> 

	<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/platinum-games/">PlatinumGames</a>’ titular Witch is back but it's still shrouded in mystery, we might have to wait a little while longer before its imminent release on Nintendo's hybrid console.</p> 

<p>We only got one reveal trailer so far and it looks like our main character is not looking good. We’re as excited as you are, but sadly, there is no release date yet.</p> 

<h2>22. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v/">Shin Megami Tensei V</a></h2> 

	<p>Another most-anticipated Switch title that disappeared after its announcement years ago. It’s the original Persona without the day and night dating sim.</p>

<p>Sad news is that there’s no word about this iconic JRPG as of the moment. What we know so far is that it’s still set in modern day Tokyo and it features a refreshing look of the game’s known Demons. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/atlus/">ATLUS</a> is still a bit busy with Persona 5’s massive success, so it might take a while before we see a release date.</p> 

<h2>23. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/pikmin-4/">Pikmin 4 (Tentative Title</a></h2>) 

<p>Pikmin was an odd idea that turned out to be a widespread success. And now fans are itching for another entry to their series. With the Switch’s prosperous set of years, we all think it's about time for another otherworldly farming saga, and the return of the adorable color-coded Pikmins.</p>

<p>Pikmin 4 has no trailer yet so that means no gameplay footage is present. Like most of Nintendo’s upcoming Triple-A titles, it still remains an enigma. No title or release date yet, but we’re eagerly hoping with crossed fingers.</p>

<h2>24. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/streets-of-rage-4/">Streets Of Rage 4 </a></h2>

	<p>From <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/dotemu/">Dotemu</a>, the publisher behind hits like Wonder boy and Windjammers, comes a sequel to SEGA’s iconic arcade brawler. Known for its ridiculous fights and jamming ‘90s beats,  4 lets us relive the magic behind this cult classic.</p>

<p>Packed with non-stop action and groovy electronic music, follow the lives of Axel and Blaze as they start picking fights wherever they go. Building up on the original gameplay with new mechanics, it also adds more fun to the skull-bashing and chicken-chomping delight by encouraging group beat-ups with friends! No release date yet.</p>

<p>With undead Horde’s deeply integrated necromancy, players can re-animate almost any dead creature encountered &mdash; including those enemies you have recently slain. Grow your forces from a multitude of sources. Dig out graves, make them battlefield corpses a part of your own undead crew, and ultimately, make use of unlockable Statues to gain stronger units. Although the Necromancer’s commanding capacity has its limits, this can be increased over time as you progress throughout the game. Depending on your commands, your undead army can either follow you around or perform attacks on their own.</p>

<p>But what can a Necromancer do without his gear? Also available in this Android game release are the multitude of weapons, trinkets, and magical items for the Necromancer to use. Since items are procedurally generated, there exists an endless amount of items and combos that can be discovered. Undead Horde also comes with a leveling up system and stats selection. Thus, creating numerous options for players to make the Necromancer himself and also his undead minions more powerful.</p>

<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/final-fantasy-vii-remake/" title="Final Fantasy VII Remake">Final Fantasy VII Remake</a></h2>

	<p>Return to Cloud and his buddies in their quest to liberate their polluted lands from the hands of the greedy Shinra. This insane remake reinvents the popular Final Fantasy title from the ground up, completely improving the visuals and redefining the next generation of video games in the years to come. </p>

<p>Its new and improved real-time battle system is akin to that of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/final-fantasy-xv/">Final Fantasy XV</a>. With the aid of your friends, embark on a grand JRPG adventure with breathtaking designs and a fantastic story that never gets old. It’s finally coming out this March 3rd as a PlayStation 4 Exclusive.</p> 


<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/doom-eternal/" title="DOOM Eternal">DOOM Eternal</a></h2>

	<p>Bethesda may be under fire right now, but that doesn’t stop the legendary Doomguy from stopping pandemonium in his god-forsaken planet. A sequel to the 2016 reboot of the award-winning first-person shooter, there's more demon-killing and eviscerating in this next chapter.</p> 
</p>
<p>Improving upon its predecessors ‘push-forward’ gameplay, battles remain fast-paced and exhilarating from beginning to end. The moment to moment gameplay oozes with satisfying demon blood and responsive controls worthy of a next-generation shooter title. It’s coming out this 30th of March.</p> 

<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/doom-64" title="DOOM 64">DOOM 64</a></h2> 

	<p>Accompanying <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/id-software/">id Software</a>’s sequel to their 2016 opus is this classic gem that paved the way to the future of first-person shooter games. This Nintendo 64 title is pretty much like any other Doom game: you fight hordes of Demons and survive Hell using your arsenal of weapons.</p> 

<p>During its time, it was hailed as one of the greatest games ever made. Before the reboots game, this was the best version of Doom and this re-release will open doors for new and old fans. Think of it as a gateway back to the good ol’ days before you get your hands on Doom Eternal. It comes out this 30th of March.</p> 

<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/cyberpunk-2077/" title="Cyberpunk 2077">Cyberpunk 2077</a></h2>

	<p>It’s hard not to include Cyberpunk 2077 when talking about upcoming PlayStation 4 titles. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cd-projekt-red/">CD Projekt Red</a>’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/">Witcher 3</a> was a godsend and it’s about time they experiment with the first-person genre.</p> 

<p>Adding with it their knack for great RPG design, this latest IP takes you into a vast open-world full of futuristic madness. Choices matter and customizations are almost limitless, giving more freedom to player decisions from the beginning to the end. There’s not much news about this game as of the moment, but we’re just glad we get to see Keanu Reeves back and he’s in a video game. It comes out this April 16, 2020.</p> 

<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/trials-of-mana/" title="Trials Of Mana">Trials Of Mana</a></h2>

	<p>This remake of the 1995 classic JRPG that first released on the Super Famicom is having a full makeover and it’s coming out for the PlayStation 4. Fans of the Seiken Densetsu series, especially those in the West, have more reason to rejoice. Not only just a mere title, but this remake has also been rebuilt from the ground up to give it a full 3D makeover.</p>

<p>Story remains unchanged, which is a good thing. New and old players will enjoy the games enhanced voice acting and visuals, as well as an upgraded battle system. It’s making a debut on Western shores this April 24th, 2020</p>


<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-last-of-us-2/" title="The Last Of Us: Part II">The Last Of Us: Part II</a></h2>

	<p>One of 2020’s most anticipated titles. This sequel takes you to the shoes of a hardened and mature Ellie with her own ways of survival.</p> 

<p>Escape from the dangers of power-hungry humans and the mysterious Klickers in a post-apocalyptic world. With more verticality at your disposal, using Ellie is unlike Joel’s movements in the original. This sequel will give more freedom to stealth and action.</p>

<p>Packed with more gritty action and atmospheric backdrops, The Last of Us II’s hype is palpable despite its recent delay. Coming this May 29, 2020 as a PlayStation 4 Exclusive.</p> 

<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/the-avengers-project/" title="MARVEL’s Avengers">MARVEL’s Avengers</a></h2>

	<p>It’s time for a rebirth in superhero games and what better way to bring it back to life with Marvel’s very own superpowered ensemble. Far from the Cinematic Universe, this standalone action-adventure RPG developed by <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/crystal-dynamics/">Crystal Dynamics</a> aims to redefine the genre as we know it.</p> 

<p>MARVEL’s Avengers comes with an original story that focuses on a completely new set of characters, namely Kamala Khan, or better known as Ms. Marvel. It’s set years after the death of Captain America and the Avengers are at a fallout. With an emphasis on strong co-op and RPG elements, playing together with a friend is as enjoyable as doing it alone. Work together and customize your favorite Marvel hero. Coming this May 15, 2020.</p> 

<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/dying-light-2/" title="Dying Light 2">Dying Light 2</a></h2> 

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/techland/">Techland</a>’s acclaimed open-world zombie game is back with more parkour and freedom. It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus, play as a young survivor who adapted to the infection. Use his newfound abilities to take advantage of the massive horde of undead.</p> 

<p>Like the first game, the focus on stylish traversal and first-person combat remains as its core gameplay. You can finally move seamlessly from one place to another with ease, unlike the previous title .</p> 

<p>In this sequel, not only you will be pitted against an even dangerous world, your choices will matter. Make decisions or sacrifices that will impact the game’s story. It’s slated for a 2020 release.</p> 

<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/wasteland-3/" title="Wasteland 3">Wasteland 3</a></h2> 

	<p>The icy hell of post-apocalyptic Colorado isn’t as friendly as it was before in this much-awaited installment to the Wasteland series. We’ve come a long way from its 1988 release. As a fan-funded project, it’s never easy. The party-based RPG from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/inxile/">InXile Entertainment</a> is stepping up their game with asynchronous multiplayer, solid single-player experience and strategic turn-based gameplay.</p> 

<p>That means whether you want a friend, or not, you still get to taste the horrors and atmosphere of this frozen wasteland. Still in development, the game is slated for a 2020 release, let’s hope the wait isn’t that long.</p> 

<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/outriders/" title="Outriders">Outriders</a></h2>

	<p>It’s rare to see Square Enix make a first-person shooter game instead of their usual JRPG formula. Outriders is a 1 to 3 player, drop-in-drop-out co-op shooter set in an original dark and desperate sci-fi universe.</p>

<p>Not much details are known so far, but it is presented with so much gravitas by its creators. It offers a wealth of experience for the shooter genre and we can’t wait to find out more about this title when it comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/system-shock/" title="System Shock">System Shock</a></h2> 

	<p>This Kickstarter remake of the 1994 space station thriller has been announced as far back as 2015.  In the 3 years of development, the developers have gone through some creative conundrums that led them to stray from their original vision.</p>

<p>After a brief hiatus, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/night-dive-studios/">Night Dive Studios</a> concluded that they want to go back to developing the game that they promised fans, which is awesome.  The plan now is to keep it as close to the original as possible so new gamers can have a taste of this classic game and old players can have a bit of a nostalgic moment.</p>

<p>It’s expected to be released in early 2020.</p>

<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/psychonauts-2/" title="Psychonauts 2">Psychonauts 2</a></h2> 

<p>After a series of publishing issues, it’s safe to say that Psychonauts 2 is still a go and it’s coming out real soon. Thanks to the efforts of Kickstarter fans and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/double-fine-productions-inc/">Double Fine Productions</a> themselves, our dreams might finally come true.</p>

<p>A much-awaited sequel, Psychonauts 2 will be following up the story of the 2005 original. The iconic Raz returns and he’s taking up the helm once more as he notices something dangerous is afoot.</p>

<p>From what we’re seeing so far, it looks like its gonna be another weird and delightful adventure. Coming sometime this 2020.</p> 


<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/tales-of-arise/" title="Tales Of Arise">Tales Of Arise</a></h2>

	<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/bandai-namco-studios/">Bandai Namco</a>’s latest Tales game veers away from the shared universe of the previous titles. For the first time in a long time, Arise takes you into a whole new world torn apart by ideologies.</p> 

<p>Still embracing that fantasy charm, play as two characters with the same goal of uniting their divided world. This latest Tales title offers a fresh cast of characters that are as memorable as any other Tales games out there. Its improvement of the Linear Motion Battle System is also something to look forward to. It’s set to release sometime in 2020</p>


<h2>16. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/yakuza-like-a-dragon/" title="Yakuza: Like A Dragon">Yakuza: Like A Dragon</a></h2> 

	<p>The long-rumored Yakuza title has a name and it’s Demo is currently out in the wilds for you to test out. The eighth mainline entry of the famed Yakuza series, this title is set in the near future and it’s considered as a soft reboot of the series.</p> 

<p>It features new characters and a new protagonist far from the likes of Kazuma Kiryu. The gameplay is also shifting to the classic turn-based combat aside from the real-time brawler which is a huge surprise. So far, there’s not many details as of the moment. Coming sometime this 2020.</p> 


<h2>17. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/watch-dogs-legion/" title="Watch Dogs: Legion">Watch Dogs: Legion</a></h2>

	<p>After suffering from a major delay, we might have to wait a little while longer before we get our hands on Legion. Ubisoft is definitely pulling out all the stops as they expand on the idea of open-world by eliminating all NPCs.</p> 

<p>That's because Watch Dogs Legion lets players take on absolutely anyone who chooses to take part in the rising revolution. Anyone can hack the planet, even a grandma! It's full of technological innovations and it promises variety in terms of experience and gameplay. It’s coming sometime this 2020.</p> 


<h2>18. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines-2/" title="Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2">Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2</a></h2>

	<p>A decade and a half later, this cult classic returns and we're gonna get to experience its nocturnal adventures once again.</p> 

<p>Still in the 21st century, Continue your vampiric adventures and settle into the underworld gloom of nighttime Seattle. Choices still play a massive part of gameplay, and it comes out through your character’s backgrounds, as well as the decisions you make in the various dialogs and interactions.</p> 

<p>Coming sometime this 2020.</p> 


<h2>19. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga/" title="Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga">Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga</a></h2>

	<p>The Skywalker Saga is finally coming to a close and it’s the perfect opportunity for LEGO to give us a much-needed rundown of George Lucas’ critically acclaimed space opera… alongside LEGO’s quirky humor.</p> 

<p>This massive collection from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/tt-games/">TT Games</a> features all NINE Star Wars chapters all packed into one cartridge. Relive the fascinating stories of a galaxy far, far away from Darth Vader’s origin story to Kylo Ren’s madness. Nothing is more satisfying than using the force to build LEGO blocks. Coming sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>20. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/one-piece-pirate-warriors-4/" title="One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4">One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4</a></h2> 

	<p>One of the longest-running manga in history. Return to the high seas in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/omega-force/">Omega Force</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/koei-tecmo/">Koei Tecmo</a>’s Musou One Piece experience.</p> 

<p>Similar to Pirate Warriors, control numerous One Piece characters including Luffy, Zorro and more as they repel a massive horde of enemies in satisfying hack and slash combat. This covers notable arcs from the One Piece anime instead of telling an original story. No release date yet, but it comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>21. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-quarantine/" title="Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six - Quarantine">Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six - Quarantine</a></h2>

	<p>Ubisoft’s tactical shooter series is trying something different this time around. Set several years into the future of their Rainbow Six series, Quarantine explores the team's fight against a mutating alien parasite.</p> 

<p>Although there aren’t many details about the game right now, it’s said to show off a brand new 3 player co-op, letting you get into gunplay and tactics with two other friends. It's set to release early next year.</p>

<h2>22. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/persona-5-scramble-the-phantom-strikers/" title="Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers">Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers</a></h2>

	<p>This collaborative effort between Koei Tecmo and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/atlus/">ATLUS</a> is a Musou title and it’s far from the usual Persona 5 hijinks we once knew. This ‘canonical’ hack and slash adventure takes place years after the events of Persona 5 and it takes us once again to the shoes of Joker and the gang.</p> 

<p>Reforming society takes more than just stealing hearts. This action game features real-time combat with satisfying animations and a sick new soundtrack for the longtime fans. It comes out sometime this 2020.</p> 
 
<h2>23. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/persona-5-royal/" title="Persona 5 The Royal">Persona 5 The Royal</a></h2>

	<p>Two Persona 5 games in a row is a blessing for PlayStation 4 users. This is the ‘definitive’ edition of the Persona 5 experience. Royal enhances the way Persona 5 feels, bringing a fresh dose of content including a new character, a new dungeon and some added story that answers some of  the game’s lingering questions.</p> 

<p>Royal isn’t a completely new game. The main story remains untouched and combat has some fancy tweaks, especially for their stealth sections. All in all, it’s just Persona 5, but better. It’s coming out sometime this 2020.</p> 

<h2>24. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/elden-ring/" title="Elden Ring">Elden Ring</a></h2>

	<p>Oh, Elden Ring. George RR Martin and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/fromsoftware/">FromSoftware</a> team up to create this dark fantasy with Nordic elements.</p> 

<p>We’ve only had one trailer so far, so there’s not much info. According to reports, Elden Ring will let you play a customizable character with no defined personality. It's up to players to flesh out their history as well as the world. It's gonna be one of FromSoftware's biggest games yet. Probably very early on in its development, there's no release date yet.</p> 

<h2>25. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/ghost-of-tsushima/" title="Ghost Of Tsushima">Ghost Of Tsushima</a></h2>

	<p>This upcoming PS4 exclusive from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/sucker-punch-productions/">Sucker Punch</a> was a scene-stealer in E3 so it's hard to forget it in the list of the best titles to come to the console. Ghost of Tsushima puts us in the sandals of the titular island's Last Samurai, desperately fighting against the Mongol invasion in the year 1274.</p> 

<p>The atmosphere of its trailer was the most captivating part of the presentation, but its detail and combat also speak volumes about the game's quality. We don't know much about the game as of yet, and its release in 2020 might be a stretch of the imagination, we can't help but look forward to it anyway.</p>

<h2>1. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dragon-ball-game-project-z/" title="Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot PC">Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot</a></h2>

<p>Bandai Namco's latest take on the well-loved Dragonball is confirmed to release on the PC too. Once called Project Z, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cyberconnect2/">CyberConnect2</a>'s Kakarot will take us through the life and times of Goku. </p>

<p>While it's one we've seen plenty of times, this time will hopefully be presented in more innovative and detailed ways. Plenty of our iconic favorites will be joining the mix, both as supportive cast and actual playable characters.</p> 

<p>Their latest one gives us a brief look into the Majin Buu Arc. All that and more coming this January 17th.</p>



<h2>2. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/ori-and-the-will-of-the-wisps/" title="Ori And The Will Of The Wisps">Ori And The Will Of The Wisps</a></h2>

<p>Microsoft hit the jackpot with Ori's Metroidvania adventures and now we're getting part two to a storyline that has successfully tugged at our heartstrings once before. In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/moon-game-studios/" title="Moon Game Studios"> Moon Game</a>'s  Will of the Wisps, we'll get to see Ori venturing out from their original magical forest to forge adventures in the world beyond.</p>  

<p>From what we've seen from all their E3 presentations, it still feels like the same majestic, challenging, and tear-jerking platformer. Now, with more nimble movements and a host of new enemies, all of which we’ll see on February 11, 2020.</p>



<h2>3. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/doom-eternal/" title="Doom Eternal PC">Doom Eternal</a></h2>

<p>It's a shame that it was delayed from its November release date, but now we got more from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/id-software/">id Software</a> to look forward to in 2020. Spreading out of the realms of hell, the iconic Demon slayer is broadening his horizons. Not only is he is bringing the fight to the equally garish monsters of the pearly gates, but he's also going for a lot of new mobility at his disposal.</p> 
 
<p>That, plus a multiplayer Invasions mode where you get to play the Demons themselves. With that much in store, the new March 20th release date might just be worth it</p>



<h2>4. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/watch-dogs-legion/" title="Watch Dogs: Legion PC">Watch Dogs: Legion</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/ubisoft/">Ubisoft</a> is bringing new technology to the burgeoning revolution of their latest Watch Dogs installment. Legion doesn't fly too far in the future, but it's breaking boundaries by telling a story where every single person in the world can be utilized in inciting the uprising.</p>

<p>But there's also permadeath, which challenges you to take on more careful approaches to preserve special skills and characters. A new take on espionage, we'll see how it all unfolds when it comes out in the second half of 2020.</p>



<h2>5. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines-2/" title="Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 PC">Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 </a></h2>

<p>While it dates back from the tabletop games of White Wolf publishing, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/hardsuit-labs/">Hardsuit Labs</a>' Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is a follow up to the 2004 cult classic. </p>

<p>Continue your vampiric adventures in the 21st century and settle into the underworld gloom of nighttime Seattle. Whoever you are, where you're from, and whatever you choose remains a massive part of Vampire's gameplay. </p>

<p>Coming out this March 2020, the fangs are definitely coming out. </p>



<h2>6. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/mount-and-blade-ii-bannerlord/" title="Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord PC">Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord</a></h2>

<p>The moment we've been waiting ten years for.</p> 

<p>Their recent March 2020 announcement isn't going to be a full release just yet, but with so much invested in the coming of this medieval playground, we'll take anything. We know about their campaigns, factions, siege defenses, and putting our hands on it may either be wonder or disappointment.</p> 

<p>Bannerlord when? We don't know officially, but the Early Access is one we’ll be itching to witness.</p>



<h2>7. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/cyberpunk-2077/" title="Cyberpunk 2077">Cyberpunk 2077</a></h2>

<p>Since <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cd-projekt-red/">CD Projekt Red</a> has been breaking boundaries with their Witcher series, it's not a stretch to think they'll be doing the same with their latest IP. </p>

<p>They're showing us a new side of a cyberpunk dystopia in broad daylight, and it's one that feels populated, lived-in and so alive. Immersing us further with a first-person perspective, the choices are still all ours to make. </p>

<p>It's coming out April 16th.</p>



<h2>8. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-avengers-project/" title="Marvel's Avengers">Marvel's Avengers</a></h2>

<p>MARVEL’s Avengers isn't gonna be the Cinematic Universe we've to come to love. But, it'll show us a different side of the comic books, with an original story that focuses on a completely new set of characters led by Kamala Khan, better known as Ms. Marvel. <p>

<p>Set years after the death of Captain America, The Avengers may be in a fallout, its gameplay still suggests a strong emphasis on co-op gameplay. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/crystal-dynamics/">Crystal Dynamics</a> is hoping to redefine and to shake up the superhero genre, and we'll see how they do when it comes out on May 15th.</p>



<h2>9. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/werewolf-the-apocalypse-earthblood/" title="Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood">Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood</a></h2>

<p>Another videogame is coming out of the world that White Wolf Publishing established. Werewolf games are scarce and now we finally get to take part in half-man, half-wolf action. As monsters with a deep connection with nature, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/cyanide-studio/" title="Cyanide Studio">Cyanide</a>'s Earthblood shows exactly that as it puts you in the shoes of a banished Werewolf fighting a Vampire-led corporation and the pestilence they bring.</p> 

<p>We haven't seen much in the way of gameplay, but we're all expecting it to come to the level of Vampire: The Masquerade in terms of choice and narrative. It's coming out sometime in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2020.</p>




<h2>10. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-quarantine/" title="Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine PC">Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine</a></h2>

<p>Ubisoft's Tom Clancy series is taking on something kind of new. Set several years into the future of their Rainbow Six series, Quarantine explores the team's fight against a mutating alien parasite.</p> 

<p>We haven't seen much of the game aside from some scary teasers, but it's said to show off a brand new 3-player co-op which lets you get into gunplay and tactics with two other friends.</p> 

<p>With an early 2020 release window, we're expecting to hear more soon.</p>



<h2>11. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dying-light-2/" title="Dying Light 2 PC">Dying Light 2 </a></h2>

<p>Although <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/dying-light/">the first Dying Light game</a> may have had earned success despite its narrative simplicity, Dying Light 2 will focus on giving players the definitive sandbox experience they wanted to bring in the first game.</p>

<p>Much more than ever, player choices will form a large part of the gameplay. Building on a brand new engine, The City in Dying Light 2, isn't just four times bigger, it will also react to whatever decisions you make along the way.</p> 

<p>It comes out next Spring.</p>



<h2>12. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/death-stranding/" title="Death Stranding PC">Death Stranding</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/kojima-productions/">Kojima</a>'s latest befuddling masterpiece <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/death-stranding/">has already released on the PlayStation 4</a>, but it will be a while before it reaches PC shores. Sony has given Kojima the blank check for this game and it's resulted in one of the most intriguing games yet.</p> 

<p>People's feelings for this bold step of a videogame is a little polarizing, but with an undetermined 2020 release window, PC master race will have to wait their turn.</p>



<h2>13. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/halo-infinite/" title="Halo Infinite PC">Halo Infinite</a></h2>

<p>Microsoft is pulling all the stops and rolling out the red carpet for the return of Master Chief. While it was first announced in E3 2018, we finally got a lengthier dose of the title in E3 2019 with a 5-minute cinematic. </p>

<p>As far gameplay is concerned though, there's none of that so far. The only thing we know for sure is that it's NOT gonna have a Battle Royale mode and it’s gonna have Master Chief in center stage.</p>

<p>It's currently slated for a Holiday 2020 release window, and details about their beta-testing periods will hopefully come through soon.</p>



<h2>14. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/ready-or-not/" title="Ready or Not PC">Ready or Not</a></h2>

<p>Everyone's been looking out for the eventual return of the SWAT series. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/void-interactive/">VOID Interactive</a> takes the reins from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/irrational-games/">Irrational Games</a> with this new tactical first-person shooter that everyone's been calling SWAT 5.</p> 

<p>There won't be too much of mindless shooting in Ready or Not. Its stages require a  bit of puzzle-solving and knowledge of tactics and procedures. With so many ways of facing one dangerous criminal situation, you will get to decide exactly how you’ll engage. It's this kind of freedom that everybody's been missing. </p>

<p>With a late fourth quarter of 2020 release window, we still have a long wait to go.</p>



<h2>15. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-settlers/" title="The Settlers PC">The Settlers</a></h2>

<p>A lot of strategy classics are rising back up again, and this is one of them. Despite the years that have passed since <A href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-settlers-7-paths-to-a-kingdom/" title="The Settlers 7 Paths to a Kingdom">their last main installment</A>, the 2020 Settlers title is in good hands as it is still in the hands of their original studio <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/blue-byte-gmbh/">Blue Byte</a>.</p> 

<p>With the goal of creating a familiar Settlers title while being up to par with today's standards, it's gonna be a nostalgic treat for long-time fans. Build, explore, and conquer anew once it releases sometime next year.</p>



<h2>16. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/microsoft-flight-simulator/" title="Microsoft Flight Simulator">Microsoft Flight Simulator</a></h2>

<p>While we're on the subject of returns, Flight Simulator was the throwaway reveal in Microsoft's E3 presentation but it was anything but forgettable. A game that has its beginnings in the 70s, Flight Simulator makes a landing in the new generation with a hangar-full of new features and improvements.

<p>For a game that needs realism to work, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/microsoft-game-studios/">Microsoft</a> gave this their signature superstar treatment, cranking the environments, scale, and physics to eleven. With 4K support to boot, this gonna be one breathtaking simulation to beat and it's coming out in 2020.</p>



<h2>17. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/crusader-kings-iii" title="Crusader Kings III PC">Crusader Kings III</a></h2>

<p>With their <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/crusader-kings-ii/">second installment</a> earning a spot on our <a href="https://whatoplay.com/videos/Vah7Oh542JY/">list of Top 25 Best PC Strategy Games</a>, we can't deny the hype for their coming third installment. In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/paradox-development-studio/" title="Paradox Development Studio">Paradox</a>'s Crusader Kings III, we get to witness even more of their signature medieval grand strategy, but with a bit more focus on RPG and the characters you build. </p>

<p>Their UI will get some changes as developers aim to create a more user-friendly and approachable experience. This 2020, there's gonna be a lot of dynasties to create and...babies to murder?</p> 



<h2>18. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/gods-monsters/" title="Gods & Monsters">Gods & Monsters</a></h2>

<p>Ubisoft made an impression with their exploration of Ancient Greece in <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/assassins-creed-odyssey/">Assassin's Creed: Odyssey</a>, but its developers wanted to create something that was more in line with the Mythology.</p>

<p>This time, instead of gritty realism, we're getting what seems to be wondrous Breath of the Wild-like aesthetic. With just a trailer so far, it's hard to imagine what else lies in store for us here.</p>

<h2>19. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/knights-of-honor-ii-sovereign" title="Knights of Honor II: Sovereign">Knights of Honor II: Sovereign</a></h2>

<p>Chivalry isn't quite dead yet.</p> 

<p>Crusader Kings may have been conquering medieval grand strategies for a while now. But, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/thq-nordic/">THQ Nordic</a> conspires to take back the throne by helping resurrect a series that's laid dormant for 15 years. Back in the hands of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/black-sea-games/">Black Sea Games</a>, Knights of Honor II will have the familiar decision-making of Paradox Interactive Games.</p> 

<p>Sure, it sports vibrant new maps. But KOH 2's strategies also promise to be more accessible, letting you decide to whether to leave it all in the hands of your troops and jump straight into battle.</p>

<p>It's set to release sometime in 2020.</p>



<h2>20. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/humankindtm/" title="Humankind">Humankind</a></h2>

<p>SEGA's also taking a shot at the 4X strategy. Developed by the same minds as the impressive 4X fantasy strategy, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/endless-legend/">Endless Legend</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/amplitude-studios/">Amplitude Studios</a> is taking on Human History.</p> 

<p>Instead of just sticking to one civilization, like the popular Civ series, Humankind will allow us to go through six different eras from the pages of our own history. It might just be Amplitude's magnum opus, as it brings to fore all the things that made Endless Legend great while showing off an array of innovative features. </p>

<p>It's coming out sometime in 2020.</p>



<h2>21. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/total-war-saga-troy/" title="Total War Saga: Troy">Total War Saga: Troy</a></h2>

<p>Rage—Goddess, sing the rage of Peleus' son Achilles.</p> 

<p>The veterans of the strategy genre, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/creative-assembly/">Creative Assembly</a> are taking a turn for the mythical. With Total War Saga, the series explores the events of the Trojan War through the arguably blind eyes of the great poet Homer. So far we've seen some of the features of their campaign, and also the legendary faceoff of Achilles and Hector.</p> 

<p>Announced very recently, we're waiting to see more before its 2020 release.</p>



<h2>22. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/witchfire/" title="Witchfire">Witchfire</a></h2>

<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/the-astronauts/">The Astronauts</a> are set to add another feather to their cap with this brand new game.  Having already made Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and more recently <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/the-vanishing-of-ethan-carter/">The Vanishing of Ethan Carter</a>. Witchfire, a gothic shooter, will be different but--if their old games are any indication--awesome.</p> 

<p>From what we've seen so far, it's a detailed look at 15th century Europe, with a world of shooting magical creatures ahead of us. No release window yet but it's coming out sometime in 2020.</p>



<h2>23. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands" title="World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands">World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands</a></h2>
 
<p>Another one from this year's Blizzcon, the World of Warcraft--one of their most enduring IPs--is getting a brand new expansion. Shadowland’s story takes us to the supposed end of it all, with an epic cinematic that shows the destruction of the legendary Helm of Domination.</p>

<p>Its greatest asset is perhaps its linear quality which gives players a narrative end in the Maw, and a Covenant. Explore the five new zones, raid new dungeons, and ascend the tower of the damned.</p>

<h2>24. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/diablo-iv/" title="Diablo IV">Diablo IV</a></h2>

<p>This year's BlizzCon was tinged with the controversy around the Hong Kong bans, and perhaps this announcement came at just the right moment. Yes, we're getting a fourth installment to their long-running Diablo series. And, we got more than a little snippet. We have one 9-minute cinematic featuring the blessed mother, Lilith, and also a 24-minute look at the brutal barbarian.</p> 

<p>It doesn't look too much of a jump from <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/diablo-iii/">Diablo III</a>, but with more time in the oven--and an unclear release window--it might just outlast today's trepidation. </p>



<h2>25. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/overwatch-2/" title="Overwatch 2">Overwatch 2</a></h2>

<p>Overwatch is getting more than a few changes. A sequel that's not exactly a sequel, Overwatch 2 isn't planning to replace the original. Instead, it's reported to be a shared universe--not just in their many characters, but also in the way Overwatch 2 players share modes with players on the Original.  And, it also means that progress from the Original can be carried over to the sequel. </p>

<p>It really seems like Kaplan's doing right by their fanbase, and hopefully, it all gets ironed out before their as yet unconfirmed release window. Far into development, it might just release before Diablo sometime in 2020.</p>
