I own almost every pinball game on Switch and I own every Pinball FX 3 table which I bought over time when the multi packs were on sale. On the exception of odd performance dips on some tables, this is the only pinball game you need.

With real replicas and completely new tables just for consoles all looking brilliant and vibrant. Responsive controls, power ups, mini games and a variety of play modes and viewing angles, this is top class pinball.

If you're new to pinball, it does take some getting used to. You will lose the ball down the middle a lot whilst you get your timing down. 5 minute mode helps with this, so you don't have to keep restarting your game and you get endless balls for 5 mins.

This has been one of the most played Switch games in my house and considering I've had around 200 Switch games that speaks volumes. Once you get good, it's very addictive.

The pinball from other companies tries to emulate a real table in the way that it has terrible cabinet sound and looks really bare bones. Pinball FX3 keeps true to the real thing but then adds enough polish to make it enjoyable on console and it really shines.

It can work out expensive buying tables separately but it's actually a good thing because you can buy based on how much you're enjoying the game. If you're sinking hours in then buying a pack in the sale for a few quid every now and then doesn't break the bank and keeps things fresh.

It does take a while to get in to. I remember not liking the free tables but once I was good, I realised they're actually really good tables. It's a game where you really have to cross that skill threshold to enjoy it properly and it doesn't take too long to get there.
