**Graphics and Performance:** While Genshin Impact is visually appealing on both PC (ultrawide) and PS5, it's worth noting the potential downsides. On PC, the ultrawide support, although immersive, may lead to UI scaling issues or peripheral visual distortion. On PS5, despite the enhanced graphics, load times and occasional frame rate drops can momentarily disrupt the gaming experience.

**Gameplay Experience:** Genshin Impact offers an expansive open-world, but this can sometimes feel overwhelming, with the abundance of quests feeling more like a grind than genuine exploration. The combat, while fluid, might seem repetitive over time, especially for players familiar with other action RPGs. The gacha system, central to character acquisition, could be perceived as a monetization strategy that impacts gameplay balance.

**Cross-Platform Play:** The cross-platform functionality between PC and PS5 is a highlight, yet it comes with limitations. The disparity in controls and interface between the two platforms can affect the gameplay experience, potentially making it less intuitive for players who switch between them. Additionally, the game’s performance varies across platforms, which might not provide a consistent experience for all players.

**Overall Impression:** Genshin Impact, with its stunning visuals and expansive world, undoubtedly offers an engaging experience. However, aspects like potential performance issues, the repetitive nature of gameplay, and the implications of its monetization strategy might detract from its appeal for some players.

Genshin Impact

I'm really not a big fan of anime so I didn't expect I would love playing this game as much as I did. It wasn't the characters and the storyline for me; it was the world. Especially when you're just starting, there's a lot of enemies to kill and chests and treasures that were just so fun to collect. And that was BEFORE I learned about all gems and shards I actually needed. Maybe it also helped that I got a 5 star character on my second roll. lol.

I played this on the 5th gen iPad Air. The performance is surprisingly good. Although, it does lag a bit sometimes when it's loading a world for the first time.

Sadly, I haven't gotten a five star character since. Oh well. At least I got some pretty good four star characters. And the exploring the world, killing slimes, and facing Archon bosses haven't gotten old yet.

gacha!

Yes, I played the mobile version, but on an iPhone SE 3rd generation, and, it's a blast.

Graphically, the Chinese studio made a blast. Compared to other mobile games, it's way better. The designs are great and look like JRPG, and the aesthetic is nice.

Now, let's talk about gameplay. It's not new, but efficient. There are tons of dungeons, temples, and you can encounter a lot of mobs in the nature. Zelda BotW fans will recognize a bunch of stuff.

The gacha side of the game is what it makes it addictive. You need and want to connect yourself everyday so you can get Primo-Gems, buy wishes with 'em, and hope to get your fav character.

The game is easily enjoyable, easy to understand, easy to handle. It was made to be fun and easy to play. In-game transactions make te game go faster : you will be able to buy more wishes, and get your characters way more easily.

The multiplayer mode is not bad, but we've seen better, there are tons of quests, bosses, ennemies, I think you'll need a lot of time if you really want to complete it.

That's all for the review, I hope it helped people figuring out yes or no they should download the game, I'm giving a green light :)
