i don't like assassins games. it's really childish and easy.

old cities are beautiful but, it's really easy to play

you must hold on one button and character goes everywhere and does everything.

boring...

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

One of my favourite games in the Assassin's Creed universe.

That mostly may be because I am enamoured with the Victorian era. It's always been a bit of an obsession for me, even as far as reading a hell of a lot about Jack the Ripper (The Five, is a great book for anyone interested).

So this one appealed to me from the get go. The outfits, to the setting; it was just marvellous.

Some of the side quests were annoying and repetitive, but otherwise it was great fun taking over all the different boroughs. Evie is bad ass and I love her. A little pop vinyl of her sits on my desk.

Story is good, gameplay is much better than AC unity. Overall an average AC.

The protagonist are twin assassin's named Jacob & Evie Frye. You can change between them at any point of the game but most of the missions in the campaign are reserved for Jacob. The characters are well written and the interaction between the two is filled with sibling rivalry. There a ton of side missions and most of them are repetitive which becomes boring very soon. You get to meet the queen and do some missions for her which are fun. The combat is almost identical to Unity. The campaign is good as it shows how deep the corruption is that the Templars have a stronghold in every part of London from science, politics, finance to transportation. You kill the high profile templars but leave the position unfilled which just creates a vacuum of power. The new addition is the grapple gun which you can use to glide across the city or climb the towers quickly. Horses are removed and carriages have taken their place in the game. The build-up was pumping the game until the ending which is disappointing.
