We tracked nearly a thousand Android and iOS games launched during the first four months of 2023. Due to lack of coverage, most of these releases received no critic review. Of all the un-reviewed releases, here are ten that are must-plays!

1. Avatars Saga/Kung Fu Saga

AndroidiOS

You might be wondering, “Hey, that icon looks like Avatar Aang.” We’re sorry to say that this isn’t related to Avatar at all. Could be why they changed it to “Kung Fu Saga” instead. It’s an RPG where you set your sights on a fantasy land based on Chinese mythology. Choose from 5 playable roles and explore the rich history of its world. It also has multiplayer where you can work with other players to get better rewards against bosses.

2. Duet Cats: Cute Games For Cats

AndroidiOS

When it comes to cat games, anything is possible. So why not a rhythm game? Because that’s what this game’s about. Make the cats eat ice cream right to the beat and hear them meow to your favorite pop tunes. With all that meowing, you might recognize songs from Billy Eillish, OneRepublic, and so much more.

3. Ragnarok Origin Global

AndroidiOS

The early 2000s MMORPG has made its way to mobile phones. Ragnarok has stood the test of time and there are still plenty of players continuing their quest to hunt porings. Take all that 90s kid nostalgia and put it into this mobile version. Make friends, exploit the economy and re-explore the world that you once spent countless hours in on your CRT monitors.

4. EA SPORTS MLB TAP BASEBALL 23

AndroidiOS

EA’s baseball management sim at the palm of your hands. Create your own all-star team of Baseball icons and turn your makeshift roster into undisputed legends. For a mobile game, it has realistic graphics and runs well on the latest phones. This is expected of EA though. Of course, with EA, microtransactions are around. These can get you a better roll for your roster of growing champions, but it comes with a price.

5. Hamster Bag Factory: Tycoon

AndroidiOS

Turn adorable hamsters into your powerful workforce in a free to play title. Lucky for you, these hamsters are hard workers…who will help you grow your business of making trendsetting luxury bags. It’s just cute casual fun. Don’t forget to give them, and yourself, a break!

6. Higan: Eruthyll

AndroidiOS

With so many gacha games, it’s hard to find good ones. This is one of them. Higan: Eruthyll is a deck-building game that revolves around multiple characters. You’ll still have to pray to the RNG gods to get good pulls. But, with the right mix of abilities and utility, you can still conquer the dungeons. It’s no Genshin Impact or the latest Honkai Star Rail, but this game’s strategic combat feels pretty fresh.

7. Meta World: My City

AndroidiOS

A city builder with a board game twist. You won’t be randomly putting buildings everywhere, you’ll have to work for it. Roll the dice, get rewards, and use them to develop your own bustling cityscape. You’ll be competing with other players from around the world and resources are limited. Think carefully after every move! This is a mobile game, so expect microtransactions. Purchasing them will add more resources and it’s an advantage when playing online.

8. MONOPOLY GO!

AndroidiOS

On the topic of board games, why not try a game of Monopoly? One of the world’s most popular board games is now available on mobile. The “Go!” means it’s not as lengthy and friendship-breaking as its real-life version. It’s a quick and portable “money-making” adventure for you and your friends. Too bad it’s not real money though.

9. Nation Of Darkness

AndroidiOS

A familiar base-building game but with vampires. Nation Of Darkness lets you build your own court of vampires to dominate the world. Recruit even more powerful vampires to join your cause with its semi-gacha mechanics. Test your luck out with its RNG and hope you get that 5 stars. It really is as simple as it sounds, but as a mobile base-builder, you can get more powerful vampires with microtransactions. Be careful though, before they suck the life out of your pockets.

10. Pressure Washing Run

AndroidiOS

Who would’ve thought we would get a power washing runner game? Imagine Temple Run, or Subway Surfers, but with a power washer cleaning dirt and grime across pavements. There’s not much ‘pressure’ for you to do more than just clean stuff up. Rack up points and try not to ruin your momentum. Just watching this right now makes me want to play it too.
