<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/epic-games" title="Epic Games">Epic Games</a> (EG) had been riding high for a while. Now, the company has acquired the studio behind the massive 2020 hit, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fall-guys-ultimate-knockout" title="Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout on PC">Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout on PC</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/fall-guys-ultimate-knockout" title="Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout on PS4">PS4</a>.</p>

<p>As <a href="https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/news/tonic-games-group-makers-of-fall-guys-joins-epic-games" title="Epic Games website">officially announced by Epic Games</a>, the Tonic Games Group will be joining the EG family. Tonic Games Group co-founder and CEO Dave Bailey says:</p>

<div class="direct-quote">“At Tonic Games Group we often say that ‘everyone deserves a game that feels like it was made for them.’ With Epic, we feel like we have found a home that was made for us. They share our mission to build and support games that have a positive impact, empower others and stand the test of time and we couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces with their team.”</div>

<p>While some fans are worrying that this merger will lead to some significant changes to Fall Guys (FG), that doesn’t seem to be the case. <a href="https://www.mediatonicgames.com/blog/mediatonic-joins-the-epic-games-family" title="Mediatonic Games">Mediatonic</a> promises that the ‘gameplay isn’t changing’ and that the mission is still to bring FG to ‘as many players as possible. While the game could be a hit for the PlayStation and PC now, the developers are still working on a port that will be releasing soon on the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/fall-guys-ultimate-knockout" title="Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout on Switch">Nintendo Switch</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/fall-guys-ultimate-knockout" title="Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout on Xbox One">Xbox</a> family.</p>

<p>With Epic Games pulling off some great brand synergy with <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/fortnite-battle-royale" title="Fortnite on PC">Fortnite</a>, it was only a matter of time before they noticed another game pull off the same thing with Fall Guys. Epic Games has been known to pull off some big moves within, recently <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/kingdom-hearts-pc" title="The Kingdom Hearts Series is Coming to PC">bringing Kingdom Hearts to the PC</a> on their own store.</p>

<p>While we should still expect some new features coming to FG, this team-up with Epic will hopefully lead to some more out-of-the-box ideas.</p>
