The kickstarter campaign for an orchestral CD of Stardew Valley's music has hit a new milestone today. With 200 backers and over $7000, this means we'll be seeing a complete album of recordings of the music from ConcernedApe and Chucklefish's indie sensation.
The campaign was backed by VGM Classics, an American record label who has been at the forefront of recording orchestral music for videogames.
Stardew Valley has been a universally loved title since its debut on the PC in 2016, and it's definitely a fitting choice for the project. Its music completes its already charming retro pixel atmosphere, and enjoying them as orchestral pieces would be a treat for any fan of them.
For a sneak peek of what the album will offer, here's a video the team playing the Stardew Valley Overture:
The project will have as music director, Mr. Kentaro Sato, who has also led the orchestral renditions of music from Dissidia Final Fantasy, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, and some Medal of Honor titles.
No word on a release yet, but you can keep up to date through their kickstarter page.
Stardew Valley is available on th PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, as well as the Android and iOS.
