<p>The popular <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/jrpg/">JRPG</a> <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v/">Shin Megami Tensei V</a> is getting an update, two years since it made its debut.</p>

<p>ATLUS is set to release <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance</a>. The Japanese video game developer made this announcement during the recent Nintendo Direct showcase.</p>

<p>An enhanced version of the original game, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is slated for launch on <strong>June 21, 2024</strong>. Publishers plan to roll it out on <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">Switch</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">PC</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">PS5</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">PS4</a>,<a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/"> Xbox Series X</a>, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance/">Xbox One</a>.</p>

<p>Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will feature gameplay improvements as well as new content. These included an improved battle system and a new story path. The upcoming game will introduce players to a brand-new Canon of Vengeance.</p>

<p>"This dramatic new tale of revenge introduces brand-new characters, an enigmatic cohort of demons called the Qadištu, a new dungeon, and a map to explore," ATLUS said in a press release.</p>

<p>On top of the new story path, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will also contain more content. Players can expect new areas, new demon experiences, and greater field exploration, publishers said.</p>

<p>ATLUS has also released a teaser trailer on YouTube, showing what to expect in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will begin on <strong>Feb. 27</strong>, ATLUS said.</p>

<p>Shin Megami Tensei V first came out in 2021. It is the latest installment in the Shin Megami Tensei series and part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise.</p> 

<p>Set in modern Tokyo, players become a high school student who stumbled into a different and apocalyptic version of Japan's capital. Like previous Shin Megami Tensei titles, it featured gameplays that allow players to raise and fuse demons.</p>

<p>Upon its release, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/shin-megami-tensei-v/">Shin Megami Tensei V </a>garnered positive reviews from gamers and critics. It received a PlayScore of 9.0 on the Switch, ranking 25th in a recent video ranking of the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/best-50-switch/">Top 50 Best Switch Games</a>.</p>
