Publisher tinyBuild has announced SAND during the tinyBuild Connect showcase. This is their much-anticipated open-world PvPvE extraction shooter.

The trailer teases its mix of dieselpunk mechas, fast-paced action, and looting. There are countless surprises waiting for players in the vast desert expanse of SAND.

Developed by a Ukrainian team in Lviv, SAND draws on the rich cultural heritage of their country. The upcoming game shares an alternative history where the Austro-Hungarian Empire dominates the space race.

Humanity found its new home on a planet called “Sophie.” After a catastrophic ecological accident, the planet transformed into a desert wasteland. It is semi-procedurally generated and evolving.

Treasure hunters from all corners of the galaxy converge, alone or in teams. Players explore, fight, and scavenge the planet's riches in a blood-soaked gold rush.

In SAND, players can command their own customizable mechas called Tramplers to navigate. These giant mechas serve as mobile bases for exploration, combat, and storage. They can team up with friends to create and command the ultimate moving fortress.

The game promises a healthy mix of Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE) combat. Providing a fast-paced extraction gameplay that is both accessible and challenging for players. Dangerous enemy encounters range from rival smugglers to hostile creatures.

SAND offers their own take on the emergent extraction gameplay. Each session provides a unique adventure on this hostile planet. The game’s dynamic world events provide unexpected surprises for all players.

SAND is available to Wishlist on Steam right now. Players can sign up for its upcoming playtest session soon. Visit the official website and follow the latest updates on Twitter for more details.
