Redemption Reapers, the dark fantasy RPG title from Tokyo's Adglobe, just landed on PlayStation 5. Adglobe and Binary Haze Interactive announced that they have rolled out the latest update for Redemption Reapers.
The Tokyo-based gaming companies also confirmed that the game is now available for PlayStation 5 consoles. The PS5 version of Redemption Reapers features visuals optimized for next-generation consoles, with 2K and 4K resolution options for players. It's now available for $49.99. PS4 owners can upgrade their copies for free, as announced by the publisher.
On the other hand, Adglobe has introduced new additions to the game in its latest content update. The Japanese game developer released the 1.4.0 update on May 10 (Philippine time). Based on its patch note published on Steam, the 1.4.0 update contains new modes. These are an Easy Mode and a New Game+ function.
Perfect for story aficionados, [the Easy Mode] gives the Brigade an upper hand by dialing down the difficulty,
developers said. Witness the epic narrative progression without hard-to-defeat enemies impeding progress,
they added. Adglobe has also allowed players to delete saved game data. Regarding quality-of-life, Adglobe reported that they have fixed "numerous issues" and adjusted parts of the skill and the game balance.
Redemption Reapers launched last February for PS4, PC, and Switch devices.
Aside from dark fantasy, the game also combines simulation and turn-based strategy elements. In it, players become members of a mercenary group called the Ashen Hawk Brigade, which is in the middle of a fight against their opponents, the Mort. Upon its release, Redemption Reapers received mixed reviews from gamers and critics alike. While they praised the game's unique character system and combat mechanics, they criticized its "generic character design" and "unappealing story."
