Indie developer Baykal Arts has unveiled the release date for the prologue of their upcoming game, Ashen Knights: Foreshadow. The prologue, titled Ashen Knights: One Passage, will go live on Steam for PC on August 17, 2023.
Ashen Knights: One Passage is a full-scale mini-game that gives players a taste of the grim, dark fantasy world of Ashen Knights. It is an isometric action game that blends the souls-lite and hack'n'slash genres. The trailer is available on YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter.
By playing the prologue, players can experience all the key features of the full game, including:

From the very beginning, we envisioned the prologue as both a standalone project and a teaser for Ashen Knights: Foreshadow,
said Deniz, the lead game designer on the project.
One Passage is packed with narrative content and game mechanics. One can play it several times and discover something new with every completion, be it a previously unknown pathway or some fresh narrative details. However, at the same time, we're trying to create a persistent impression that we're holding back a little bit in the prologue, and that we're going to unleash our full glory in Foreshadow. Hopefully, we'll manage to maintain that balance, and upon the release of One Passage, people will not only have massive fun playing it but will also be craving for more.
