Developer League of Geeks, the creators behind the acclaimed strategy game Armello and the upcoming Solium Infernum, have launched Jumplight Odyssey in Early Access on Steam. To celebrate the release, there's a 15% launch discount available for one week.
In Jumplight Odyssey, players step into a captivating starship adventure with Princess Euphora as the captain of the SDF Catalina. Their mission is to traverse star systems to search for the legendary Forever Star, a fabled new home deep in the galaxy. They will also need to escape from Admiral Voltan and the Zutopans while doing so.
This Early Access offers a sneak peek into this ambitious colony simulation game. As the captain, players must manage resources, define their leadership style, and make crucial decisions to ensure survival. Players can also customize and upgrade different sections of the Catalina. They can experiment with navigational layouts in a way that draws inspiration from the Incredible Cross Sections book series.
Early Access allows players to create their own Odysseys, enabling them to replay the game with varying playstyles, starting resources, ship conditions, crew, and duration. Playstyles include a Chill mode that provides a relaxed gaming experience with no pursuit from the Zutopan Armada. Or players can opt for the Hectic mode, where the pursuit is relentless and unforgiving.
League of Geeks were known pioneers of Early Access with their 2015 hit Armello. Like Armello, they plan to continually update the game during Early Access. The game will receive exciting themed updates featuring new stories, buildable elements, biomes, and more. The first major update, "A Dangerous Galaxy!", will be free to all players. The update is scheduled to launch within the game's first two months of release.

Jumplight Odyssey is currently available on Steam Early Access. It supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Full releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also planned for the full launch.
