Two of gaming's popular simulation titles just landed on Apple's Vision Pro headsets.
American developer Owlchemy Labs rolled out Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator on Apple Vision Pro on May 28th. Both games are now available for purchase on the visionOS App Store.
"Launching Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator on Apple Vision Pro feels like a perfect fit for our goals," said Andrew Eiche, CEO of Owlchemy Labs.
With Vision Pro, the studio achieved its goal of providing 'fully immersive environments' for their two hit titles, he added.
It took developers at least four years to develop and refine the two games' hand and eye-tracking capabilities of the two games, Eiche said. They took advantage of the hand and eye-tracking features to provide natural and intuitive interactions, he added. In turn, players can expect more immersive gameplay without the need for controllers.
Released in 2016, Job Simulator takes players on an alternate universe- where robots have taken over all human jobs. But humans can still experience the "glory days" of work. And that is through a series of hilarious job simulations.
The Apple Vision Pro version of Job Simulator includes the free "Infinite Overtime" update. This allows players to do a never-ending night shift with endless stream of tasks for each simulated job.
Since its debut in 2016, Job Simulator has been a runaway success. It garnered critical acclaim and sold over 1 million copies.
Meanwhile, Vacation Simulator takes players to an idyllic island getaway. Called the Vacation Island," it is a robot-created haven designed to capture the essence of a perfect getaway. This simulated paradise boasts everything a dream vacation needs. From exciting activities to colorful robot characters.
The Apple Vision Pro version also comes with the "Back to Job" free content update. The 'Back to Job' update puts players in the role of a service worker at the island's Poolside Cabana, catering to the needs of vacationing robots.
Like its predecessor, Vacation Simulator was also a commercial and critical hit. It joined Job Simulator in the prestigious million-seller club.
Job Simulator is priced at US $19.99 and Vacation Simulator at US $29.99 on the visionOS App Store.
