The indie studio Cannibal Goose from Brazil has partnered with Ishtar Games to publish its debut title, Forgotten Mines. The solo developer from Rio de Janeiro announced the collaboration the same day it released a new trailer for the upcoming tactical role-playing game.

Ishtar Games is the publishing arm for independently developed games of the French video game company Nacon. Based in Lille and Bordeaux, France, the studio has previously made the "Dead in" games (Dead in Bermuda, Dead in Vinland) and The Last Spell.
Cannibal Goose has also announced that Forgotten Mines will be released on PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2024.
Forgotten Mines is a tactical RPG with "nostalgic, old school graphics" that combines roguelite elements and turn-based combat. In the game, players take control of a group of dwarves who must reclaim their ancestral mines from the forces of evil.
The mines, once a source of wealth and glory for the dwarven realm, have been overrun by goblins, orcs, skeletons, and demons. Players must use their tactical skills and turn-based combat abilities to defeat enemies and reclaim the mines.
The dwarves must forge a path of vengeance and redemption and restore their heritage, the developers described.
Forgotten Mines also allows players to explore its procedurally-generated dungeons. This means each room of the dungeon is randomly generated, and the player has a limited number of turns to complete each level.
The game offers customization options; players can expect diverse character classes and vast equipment options. They can also obtain rare gear and legendary artifacts that grant powerful synergies and abilities.
Cannibal Goose first unveiled the development of Forgotten Mines in 2022. Its latest trailer showcased the game's visuals, gameplay, and atmosphere.
