After their release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 back in 2018, Treyarch is teaming up with Raven Software to bring us this year’s Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. Just in, we have a new reveal trailer and though it has no gameplay, it does set the tone for this era in history that the game will explore.
Check it out:
all of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is actually based on real historical events and it focuses on this spy who has been codenamed “Perseus.” In actual history, Perseus was said to be a KGB spy who had infiltrated the Manhattan Project during World War II and it was believed that Perseus had stolen nuclear secrets for the Soviets.
We don’t know if you’re going to be playing the part of Perseus or Perseus is the main villain; but it’s likely we’ll have all these questions answered when we get the official reveal later in the month.
With Black Ops 4 leaving out the single player to focus more on multiplayer, I think Cold War is going to get back to its roots and give us a solid history-based shooter. Then again, I wouldn’t put it past the devs to add another wacky zombie mode to the game.
No release date has been announced for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, but seeing the pattern with previous titles, it’s likely it could come out this November on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5.
