Miriam, the protagonist of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is making a crossover with another platforming title, Blasphemous. Team 17 has dropped a new trailer for the free update, Strife & Ruin, and it brings Miriam into the world of the Penitent One. Players have to find a way to bring her back to her own world.

Miriam isn’t the only addition to Strife and Ruin either. The update is bringing in ‘Boss Rush Mode’ which will be available after completing the main story. The course will contain a selection of bosses that players can take on using any of their save files.
A ‘Demake Area’ is also added that will pay homage to classic 8-bit platformers (like Castlevania); this area is available via a hidden arcade cabinet in Cvstodia, with core mechanics changed to match the classic style. New render modes will also be made available that emulate old TV effects—all of which you can apply to the standard game.
Blasphemous: Strife and Ruin is set to launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on Feb. 18. Find more games in our list of Upcoming Switch Games, or check out our collection of Switch Hack and Slash Games.
