With Kingdom Rush Frontiers already on the Switch, Ironhide Studios has primed the platform for more releases of their long-running tower defense series — the latest of which being the original title, Kingdom Rush available this July 31.

Kingdom Rush first released on the iOS back in 2011, garnering rave reviews from both critics and gamers. Now, with its move to the Switch, the almost decade-old tower-defense has been fully optimized for the Nintendo console.
Not only did it receive a full high-definition overhaul, but the control scheme has also been adjusted to fit the Joy Con system.
Content-wise, there are only a few additions that set it apart from the iOS version. Namely a few new monster types and achievements. But, that probably won't matter much in a game that's already lauded for its content and variety.
