One of the most celebrated games to come out on the Switch this year is Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and players are all enamored with this latest update on the classic franchise. What’s great is, Animal Crossing has announced their Halloween update for the fall season, and it’s sure to be some spooky fun for players.

For the update, players will be able to prepare for the Halloween season by growing pumpkins that you can customize with your own DIY projects. What’s more, you can collect candy and change costumes, all culminating to Halloween night where you can run into other players who have also geared up for Halloween.

Animal Crossing has also announced their smartphone app called the “NookLink App Update”. Here’s the official description:

The NookLink Service in the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app is also receiving an update in early October. With the update, you’ll be able to use your smart device to perform Reactions in the game.**** How about trying it out for this occasion to let your island visitors know exactly how you feel about their mischievous tricks and treats?

With Halloween probably being cancelled in some places this year thanks to COVID-19, this is probably the closest thing some people are going to get to it. If anything, it all looks adorable, and it would be fun gearing up for the fall season.
