I have been a Sonic fan for many years but even i know that while some Sonic games are amazing some are a real dissapointment but i have got to say that Frontiers was a enjoyabel game, the story felt more mature and less comical than usual and the gameplay was so different from for example Generations or Unleashed but i liked it very much but it could get a bit dull sometimes, i mean the islands are huge and pretty empty too. The boss fights were very different from usual Sonic bosses i mean you needed to play as Super Sonic each time soo i am sure you all understand what that means. But overall i did ewnjoy this new type of Sonic game, its not perfect but has a lot of potential.

An interesting new type of Sonic game

FINALY a good Sonic the Hedgehog formula that fits everyone! Voice acting could be better. And I hate the glitch effect of other playible characters, they could easy make something else up in the story soo it fit that you dont have to play as a "glitch" some minor flaws like every open world games. This shouldnt be compared with Mario becouse this time the hedgehog win big!

Sonic is back!

I can still remember the first time I played a sonic game, that was way back the year 2000s. What a nostalgic moment as a gamer. That's the exact thing I felt when I played this Sonic game for this generation. Played this on steam deck. That's why for me it felt really good to play this while seating on a couch or even before bedtime. This game is actually one of those games that were underrated. It got a lot of potential as a sonic game. The open world is there, though missing some elements such as interaction with other NPCs. The story is somewhat simple and so cheesy to be honest. What I like about this game is the mechanics. I can't help but to get distracted everytime I roam around the world with Sonic at maximum. It's satisfying.

The boss fight, gave me a challenge as well. I think it is because of the fact that it really never give the player a proper instruction on how to defeat a certain enemies. One last thing I want to point out is the skill tree. I was able to maxed out the skill tree at World 2. And after that, that's it. I was really hoping to see more skill sets or upgreadables for Sonic.

Overall, it was an okay game. Showed a lot of potentials.

Supersonic speed

This game is pretty exciting and chilling at the same time. It reminds me of a game called Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There is an whole open world and it's a lot of fun. If you didn't want to play a level sometimes, you can explore the different areas and take it either fast or slow. Anyways, I recommend this game!
