About 3 or 4 times a year, 3-5 new characters are released at a time and keeps things interesting. Battle mechanics is simple and character graphics when attacking compensate for that. Increasing character star ranking, gear tier and levels take time after a certain point and if you want to advance your character quickly then you have to pay for microtransactions.
