While looking for alternative games -- titles where you don't hit, kill, destroy, I discovered **Love is All Around**.

This is a dating simulation/interactive movie about a slacker, always-in-debt dude named Gu Yi. You play in his pov, meeting new girls that follows very traditional anime tropes. There's the cutesy one, the hot one, the serious artist, the carefree, the spoiled brat, and the career woman. If you've watched harem animes before, this is exactly that.

**Is it any good?**

Overall, it is. It's a fun, funny, and, in some instances, romantic little game.

At the same time, it carries the same issues as harem anime. It's portrayal of women are problematic and lack nuances. Gu Yi is also an asshole. The only way these girls would have been interested in him is if he's really one-in-a-billion handsome.

In the my first "ending", I managed to pay off my debts and not end up with any of the women. lol

**Issues**

It's very much unpolished. The UI can be confusing, even the production of the video is inconsistent.

The success of Love is All Around will definitely start a flood of copy-cats. Hopefully, better ones. I'd love to see a reverse-role, where you play as the girl. With the popularity of KPOP, a Korean spin-off will definitely be a hit. A Japanese version might even show up soon.

Fun but lots of room for improvement
