Before I forget, input codes do work for this game, so there are two more characters than displayed. You just have to look up the moves online as they're not in the manual.

Also these characters are both bosses. What I like here is that if you do a bit rubbish, you don't get get the second boss. You need a certain average grade to unlock him. This is great for people who are rubbish like me, to give me incentive to be better.

I missed this in my arcade days. I think I stopped going to arcades a couple of years before this released. So no nostalgia, the Switch version was my first go.

Day1. Pretty good this game.

Day2. This is a bit like Street Fighter 2. I like this.

Day3. Actually I prefer this to SF2.

Day4. I love this game.

Day5. One of my favourite games of all time.

Day6. Up the difficulty.

Day7. Marriage proposal to Bonne Jenet.

It is 2D fighting perfection. I was blown away. A couple of years have passed and I still consider this one of my favourite games ever. I have a quick go most weeks and I never rotate it. It is a permanent fixture on my Switch. If anyone ever wants to delete something to make space to redownload another game, I always shout do not touch Garou, or Ys Origin.

Practically flawless

Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

"GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES" is a fighting game released by SNK in 1999. The son of Geese Howard, Rock Howard, who has been raised by Terry Bogard is the main character in this first episode of a new generation in the "FATAL FURY" Series. Numerous new game mechanics such as the "Breaking" feature have been introduced in this acclaimed fighting masterpiece resulting in a game with a variety of deep strategies available to players. The "ACA NEOGEO" series has faithfully reproduced many classic NEOGEO masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
