While the camera and a few other nagging issues can make things vexing at times, Pool Panic shines past the mild blemishes as it’s a dazzling display of artistic buffoonery. It’s hard to recommend for people that have to get the high score or complete every optional challenge, but if you just want to sit back and roll through a world with oodles of inventiveness and creativity, this is an acid trip worth taking.

Billed as the worlds least realistic pool simulator, Pool Panic is developed by indie team Rekim, and happens to be the epitome of how Adult Swim do games. From Robot Unicorn Attack to Battle Chef Brigade, Just as individual as the Adult Swim's TV programming, Pool panic takes a clear cue from this. Looking like a mash-up of the Mr. Men, Cuphead, and Rick & Morty, Pool Panic is a wonderfully anarchic work of 2D animation.

Pool Panic is wonderfully weird and so imaginative. While this probably won’t please those after something a little more traditional, its focus on physics-based puzzles is certainly an interesting take. Frustrating, lacking direction but with a world full of character and unique ideas, Pool Panic can be a really fun time albeit one that’s known to scratch every so often.

A wildly imaginative and vaguely psychedelic physics puzzler with a novel pool-based twist, Pool Panic is frequently thrilling and almost never boring, but it's also mechanically suspect and occasionally frustrating. In short, it has cult classic written all over it.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing Pool Panic and I was impressed with its fresh and original vibe. On a basic level, it is a casual puzzler that fits perfectly on the handheld Switch platform. Pick it up, have a laugh, and test your skills without pressure, and definitely without any need to panic. As long as you’re not expecting too much depth and you’re ok with being confused much of the time, I recommend you jump into the pool and give Pool Panic a shot.

The controls are a little wonkier than they should be, but there’s far too many great elements in this game to ignore. Pool Panic gives you everything you want from a pick-up-and-play sports title. It’s consistently charming, challenging, and in some cases, might even make you chagrin.

Pool Panic is a ridiculous and enjoyable game. Although it can be annoying at times, the overall amount of wacky fun you'll have within its trippy world far outweighs any frustration that you'll experience along the way.

It's weird and wonderful in all the right ways, and it turns the humble game of pool into something almost entirely different to good effect. Its mechanics can be a tad frustrating, and it's quite unwelcoming in terms of difficulty unless you're happy to smack a ball around for a while until you just happen upon a solution, but overall it's a solid experience that puzzle fans should probably check out.

There are plenty of high points here that help to counteract the occasional camera issues and make for an entertaining experience all round. The multiplayer will probably drag plenty of your friends into this strange world too and there’s no reason not to enjoy that. Pool Panic excels at being exactly what it is, a weird puzzle adventure game with a lot of personality and plenty to do.

Pool Panic is a fun, weird little pool game that doesn’t overstay its welcome across its 100+ levels. It’s ridiculous, and it brought a smile to my face more times than I can count.

All in all, Pool Panic is a unique experience, though not for everybody. If you enjoy puzzle games packed with content, it may be worth your time. I never felt the desire to go back through and complete all the challenges for each stage–just wanted to get through to see what was next. Pool Panic is a fun and crazy game hampered by sometimes inaccurate or finicky controls and a lack of camera manipulation.

Fantázia autorov bude kompenzovaná čoraz nižším percentom úspešnosti a mnohí hráči neprídu ani do polovice. Zatiaľ čo úvod s hrou ma úplne nenadchol, potom prišla fáza vychutnávania si každého levelu (má ideálnu dĺžku – dáte si jednu-dve partie na dobrú noc či ráno), no koniec recenzovania sa nesie v rovine kritiky aj ťažších chvíľ. Lebo autori možno prepásli príležitosť sprístupniť hru oveľa väčšiemu publiku a nielen tým, čo si idú raz za čas do krčmy či klubu zahrať.
