I do not know the whole concept of the story line in this game. But I didn't care, because I had fun.
Neon Abyss is a shooter platform game that has random generated stages. Each floor or stage has an end boss that rewards you with an item that could be a weapon or accessory. You can also find or buy weapons or accessories on each stage and they help change your gameplay.

Examples would be that some guns shoot homing rockets or you can charge a beam of energy. And if you have the right accessories, you can boost your gameplay even further. You might find one that increases the amount of rockets you shoot or increases the width of the laser.

The game can be challenging since the controls, sadly, are not that great. Any platform game that lets you press up to jump is simply a minus to me. Why not have it on the A,B,X,Y buttons? Anywhere else except UP would have been great.

The music is somewhat mediocre. It isn't memorable but it serves its purpose.

All in all, I enjoyed the game despite its flaws since your next run will be different from your previous. It’s in GamePass so if you have it, give it a go. It was a good time waster.
