The Masked Zorro Returns in Trailer for Zorro The Chronicles, The Game

Zorro is one of the oldest characters in pop-culture and has inspired heroes like the original Batman. While Batman gets to run around in the Arkham games, BTC Studios has also announced their own Zorro game based on Zorro the Chronicles.

Play as Zorro or his sister Ines. Protect the weak and the innocent from the evil general and his army. Bring justice back to nineteenth-century Spanish California.

Become a master swordsman. Disarm your enemies with a whip, a sword, spectacular moves and a sense of humor! Deflect their attacks with acrobatic moves and lightning-quick reflexes. Leave your mark on them with a ‘Z’ from the tip of your sword!

The game is based on the 2015 animated series Zorro the Chronicles, and a lot of animation from the trailer actually comes from the show. The series has been sold to over 100 countries and has even been nominated at the TV France International Export Awards.

While Zorro may have inspired Batman, it looks like this game is taking some influence from the Arkham series. Players will also have to to sneak around or engage in close-quarters combat. The only difference is that Zorro has a very wholesome approach to its genre. So we shouldn’t expect him to break any bones or threaten criminals with excessive violence.
