Developers of YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG just dropped a major update.
On December 2nd, Ackk Studios rolled out YIIK I.V. The free update for YIIK offered a revamped experience of the surreal RPG. It can be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
YIIK I.V redefines the original gameplay experience with a range of new features and enhancements.
The update will allow players to recruit three new party members. They will also get to explore 10 new areas. YIIK I.V will also feature a redesigned turn-based combat system.
In addition, the update contained revamped cutscenes, over 150 new soundtrack tracks, reimagined dungeon layouts, and updated Monster Dens. A fresh leveling system in Alex’s Mind Dungeon further deepens the gameplay.
Combat has also been overhauled to integrate Karta. These are unique collectible allies that can be equipped to enhance battles. Each Karta offers distinct passive and active abilities, requiring players to strategize how best to utilize their capabilities.
YIIK is an RPG that follows Alex who got drawn into a reality-bending mystery after witnessing a vision of a woman vanishing in an iron maiden.
As Alex's obsession to uncover the truth deepens, players explore bizarre dimensions. Filled with cryptic puzzles, dangerous traps, and eccentric enemies.
Ackk Studios co-founder and co-director Andrew Allanson reflected on the journey to bring YIIK I.V to life.
