Heads up, PlayStation owners!
Where Winds Meet, the highly anticipated Wuxia RPG, is coming to PlayStation 5. The PlayStation State of Play revealed on May 26th that the game will also make its debut on Sony's latest console.
"We are thrilled to bring Where Winds Meet to PlayStation 5," said Beralt Lyu, Producer at Everstone Studio.
During the event last May 26th, developers from Everstone also dropped a new trailer, revealing more gameplay details about the upcoming PS5 game. The two-minute video showcased never-before-seen combat scenes and mechanics. Creators even paid homage to the legendary film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in one of the game's sword fighting sequences.
Development for Where Winds Meet took five years, Lyu said. The ambitious project will be a Wuxia-genre title. The genre is known for its fantastical depictions of ancient Chinese martial artists.
In the game, players take on the role of a young swordfighter, venturing into 10th-century China. There, they find themselves in the center of China's tumultuous Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
As an open-world RPG, Where Winds Meet lets players explore sprawling landscapes. From bustling cities to serene bamboo forests. All of these are rendered in stunning detail with real-time weather and lighting effects.
Where Winds Meet also promises to deliver an epic battle of Chinese martial arts. This means players can expect to face formidable foes. The newest trailer unveiled two bosses coming to the game. They are Rongyuan, a master craftswoman, and the enigmatic River God, a cunning gang leader disguised as a fishmonger.

To defeat enemies, players must masterfully wield spears, swords, twin blades, glaives, or bows. The trailer also debuted a unique new weapon: the unassuming umbrella. It is a tool that can be used both for defense and offense.
Meanwhile, publisher NetEase Inc. said they are excited to welcome PlayStation 5 players to the world in Where Winds Meet soon.
"Where Winds Meet is shaping up to be an awesome experience, with beautiful graphics, sophisticated and challenging eastern combat skills, and an intriguing narrative," said Ethan Wang, Senior Vice President at NetEase, Inc.
