Vampire Survivors, the award-winning indie RPG, will welcome more players.

Developer poncle announced that Vampire Survivors will hit Nintendo Switch. The 2D action-roguelike game's Switch version will launch on August 17.

In addition, the British indie studio will introduce a couch co-op mode. It will also be available for all platforms, including Switch, Poncle said in a press release.

[It] will let you play the whole Vampire Survivors saga with up to 4 players in local co-op, the studio said.

In co-op mode, you can either continue your current game or start a new adventure with friends to face the hordes of the undead. Players can seamlessly switch between single and co-op play between stages and unleash chaos, they added.

Aside from the base game, the two downloadable contents (DLCs) for Vampire Survivors will also be available on Nintendo's eShop this August. But players will have to purchase them separately, the developers said.

The base game will cost $4.99. Meanwhile, the two DLCs—Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of the Foscari—are priced at $1.99 each.

Vampire Survivors' port to Switch consoles came roughly ten months after Poncle launched it via Early Access for PC in 2022. Last December, they also expanded the game to other devices, such as mobile phones and the Xbox Series X and Xbox One.

The "bullet-hell" game received critical acclaim upon its release. It also became the 'surprise big winner' in the 2023 BAFTA Game Awards.

Vampire Survivors received the highly coveted Best Game title, beating triple-AAA titles like God of War: Ragnarok and Elden Ring. Poncle also won the Game Design award at the 2023 BAFTA Game Awards.
